Server Cody was fantastic! I hope that was his name. It's been 2 months since my visit and I am still tempering how much I enjoyed it. He was the Chillest guy on the island. I had an incredible birthday dinner dining here by myself at sunset. The filet was cooked perfectly. Cody even said he would let me take my bottle of wine "to go" if I wasn't able to finish it. He doesn't know me, though LOL. Complimentary dessert for my birthday. THE BREAD AND SMOKED SALT BUTTER were phenomenal. Definitely get this. I also got a PHENOMENAL wedge salad, which I did not get a photo of. Probably my best meal on the island of Kauai. I will be returning here.

    Apple banana wrap. Delicious!

Home of the original Mai Tai. We enjoyed this location, great view and nice friendly servers. The Mai Tai was great! It tasted different from any other Mai Tai I've had before. The dessert was awesome!

We were staying at the resort and a few nights we wanted to sit by the water and it was within walking distance. They are only open in the afternoon. We only tried the appetizers and cocktails when there. Staff were nice attentive. The cocktails were very good. Had the expresso martini, Ginger Sour Smash and Pineapple Martini. We tried the Sweet Potato chips and the Caprese salad. The tomato used was very hard but the presentation was nice. One night we went to listen to some music with Aldrine Guerrero. Great music with a ukulele. The view from the restaurant is amazing. Prices were a little high but most things are in Kauai.

Great place! The food was delicious! Additionally, the server was very knowledgeable about the menu and all the staff were very friendly.

Swordfish w/gnocci? Definitely not gnocci, I worked 10 years in Italian restaurants. This is how it was presented and served!

Great location at the Waipouli Beach Resort, just beautiful! Very friendly and attentive staff! Our server did a pretty good job however one of the couples with us were not very happy with her... she passed him over when taking our order and she almost walked away before he said something. She did it again when taking our dessert order part of the reason for my 3 stars. The food was good, not great. My swordfish with gnocchi and lobster sauce? Hmmm? First of all, our server said they cook the fish medium and it was overdone and the stuff they called gnocchi? Was not gnocchi! It was like little rectangle mushy bits! And the lobster sauce? Was flavorless. Did not really taste like lobster nor did it have any bits of lobster in it? As you can see in my picture, presentation was seriously lacking (the chef scooted it to the side of the bowl) they could've put a little more vegetables in this dish and spread it out nicely in the bowl. My husband enjoyed his swordfish with curry sauce but his was over cooked too. A couple more reasons for the 3 stars. Everyone else enjoyed their food... I would recommend giving them a try as you can't beat the location and the menu items are hit and miss... choose wisely.

Diverse menu items from beef filet, pork chops, fresh catch to lobster. Vegetarian curry and a taro burger, all using local ingredients, herbs for their dishes. I had the lobster with bok choy and purple Okinawa sweet potato purée- so delicious and cooked perfectly. Hubs got the grilled Ono with mini gnocchi in a red sauce, really tasty. Great wine, unique cocktails and local beers. Ambience is an Ocean view dining with fresh breezes. Our server was awesome, friendly and helpful. We were too full for dessert, next time.

Nice staff the bar tender John was awesome. Great food and drinks on the beach walk 5 ft and your feet are in the Sand 10ft and You're in the water. We got tomato soup, ahi agua chiles, lobster, bread, short ribs over fried ribs, wedge salad. Everything was beautiful

Grilled Catch-OTD- Marlin over local veg, greens and amazing pumplin filled ravioli. So good!

Our dining experience tonight at the Oasis was simply outstanding! Danielle and Ryan took excellent care us. The Food was the best I can remember. Special care with local ingredients. Perfectly prepared and presented. Classy and comfy vibe. Going back!

We had a great experience! Our server, Gabrielle, was fantastic. All the food was delicious: we had the pork wontons, oasis poke, and the fries. The cocktails were also excellent: we had the ginger sour smash and the special of the night. You really can't beat this location with being able to eat and have views of the ocean. Definitely recommend!

    Grilled Fish of the Day

Overall the restaurant has a great ambiance sits right on the beach. The food however wasn't that good. I ordered a smokey honeycomb cocktail (substitute tequila in lieu of mezcal), as recommended by the waiter. It tasted like an average margarita to me. The tomato soup was alright, but you can't usually go wrong with that. The best salad was so pretty visually but it was missing something. The vinaigrette needed to be more flavorful, or they needed to add more textures to diversify this dish. It also turned me off that as soon as the plate was set, there was dozens of baby bugs flying and landing in the salad... The fish of the day wasn't very good--we didn't finish it... That says something especially since we're on the island of Kauai. None of the dishes really impressed me. It's a great view for sure, but I wouldn't really come back to eat here :( I wished I enjoyed it more.

If you're staying at the Hilton, you get two free Mai Tai vouchers per day at check in, which makes this spot an easy go to. One of the highlights was the chickens casually wandering up to the bar and the locals sharing background stories and cultural insight about the island. Relaxed, welcoming, and a really fun place to hang out.

Hubby ordered $75 Ribeye steak. It was beautiful He tried cutting it, only gave him a butter knife, the gristle was overwhelming. The meat was done beautifully but full of gristle. Everything took forever. Servers were nice, gave good info. So then comes the bill. Way high! We had to pay $25 "service" charge we asked? She said she didn't know asked then said it was to cover linens, etc. Another $5 charge for credit card processing. So $30 added to the $200.00 meal with 1alcohol drink and 1mocktail. While servers were sweet the service sucked not just an island time thing. They had two other tables to serve and three wait staff and were visiting and having a great time with someone at the bar. The sauces were fabulous. We wanted to like it but left feeling like we were ripped off. I was sad but it was the best shrimp scampi I ever had;(

(On a Wednesday afternoon, there were about 6 people in a place that holds 60.) I finished my beer and paid for it. I chatted with some people at the bar, one of whom was the owner Dave, he was super nice. Also some regulars, and the bartender Keala. I went outside to help my wife carry bags from the farmers market to the car, and went back to my table. The bartender came over and asked if i want another beer, i said no. Then she said, i have to order another beer or leave. And she starts insulting me, saying this isnt college, i have to "move on out". So i left. This is the only time I have ever been insulted in a bar. I have friends in the service industry, i know they sometimes have to deal with rowdy drunks, so i chat and smile and leave a nice tip. To be treated this way, in a nearly empty bar when i wasnt taking anyone's chair, the bartender had to leave the bar and cross the entire place just to insult me. I go to bars to have a drink and a nice time and relax, not to get harassed and insulted by the bartender. I will never go back to this place, sorry Dave.
