Good place to come for Korean comfort food. We came late Friday night, and there were lots of people many beers and soju in. The music was a bit too loud and we had to shout to hear each other, that was the only down side. :( We wanted fried chicken and army stew, and wanted to get their combos. The combo saves you money if you wanted to order alcohol. Beware though, the "whole fried chicken" literally means a small chicken split in half, fried. I would recommend getting the fried chicken wings instead. We absolutely loved the OB house original flavored chicken wings! The army stew and spicy teobokki were just a tad too spicy for me :( read more

Great Korean/Asian restaurant & gastropub. We tried their chicken wings and popcorn chicken (wasn't able to take a photo of the wings). Service was great and the server we had was friendly and warm. Food came out hot, fresh, and delicious. Would come back again next time and recommend this place. Just a side note that it's a gastropub so some groups around us were very loud, probably drinking too. (At one point it was hard to talk and hear each other cos one other group was SO loud.) I came here for a friends Birthday celebration. 2 of 3 staff were polite and great service but 1 of 3 was just not having a good day or something. The main reason for 3 stars is the food and cleanliness of the restaurant. Ddukbokki with noodle = It was VERY bland and tasted very watered down... noodle was not fully cooked either. It just had no taste... that was not good. Fries = very soggy. Some were cooked well but the rest of the batch was no good. Wings = pretty good! Flavorful Shrimp with Garlic Sauce = good and flavorful but pretty expensive (normal for seafood) But the restroom smelled so bad it was hard to handle... it smelled like sewage. The Mrs. was craving Korean chicken wings and she found OB square on yelp so we decided to give it a go. Ordered calamari, garlic chicken wings, spicy wings, bulgogi fries and ob wings. Given the current pandemic we picked it up and ate at home. I had the opportunity to meet Grace who owns the establishment with her husband. We live about 15mins from the restaurant and couldn't wait to dig in. Everything was tasty - a few standouts were the 3 varieties of wings and the bulgogi cheese fries. If able to eat the bulgogi fries on site these would be even better! Fries+cheese + meat always taste better at the table fresh out of the frier- no knock on them just the downside of a 15min drive. I can't say that it's the cheapest place, but it's definitely convenient. whether you're looking for a late night catchup with friends, or simply just want some drunchies, this is your go-to! Our waitress was really nice. We had a large party and she was very accommodating and came back multiple times to take our order as the whole crew rolled in. We basically took up one side of the store. Their strawberry soju is really good! I don't drink alcohol, but I tasted it, and it was delicious. Overall, their food was really good for bar food. I like their cucumber salad and the chicken wings. The omurice isn't quite right as it was basically omelet over fried rice. Omurice is made with ketchup. It was still good though. Amazing bar/restaurant! It says on yelp they're open til 2am, but they normally close around midnight! Don't be fooled! We ordered 5pc garlic fried chicken, 5pc spicy korean fried chicken, and cheese bulgogi fries. Best. Decision. Ever. We had just gotten back from Disney, and we were hungry and indecisive. The quality of the food and the service were awesome. The staff was nice, and answered every question we had. They even gave us fresh cooked rice! Because we ordered takeout we couldn't really sit to enjoy the atmosphere for long, but for the short duration we were there waiting for our food, we could tell the place had such a positive and fun vibe! Second time here and it didn't disappoint. Always order the ob wings first as it takes awhile to make and it comes out fresh and steamy hot. Stir fried gizzards can be really spicy if you accidentally bite into a chili. Terra beer is one of my top favorites as it is light and refreshing. Our main reason for coming here was that they had food that we could pair with some drinks as it was already late into the night. We were all still pretty full from a graduation lunch but still wanted to eat something with our soju. So we ordered a 9 piece chicken appetizer to split between the 3 of us. Which was a good decision because those 9 pieces were a good size. What was interesting was this place managed to make the chicken still crispy while coating it with their sauce to give it its flavor. However, 2 of our chickens were not fully cooked through as we noticed it as one of my friends bit into it. That aside the food was still good, which I think they got right. Got their Calamansi soju and fresh soju with a splash of lemon. Ya can't go wrong with that. Salt and pepper shrimp - they cut the sharp parts off of the head, and took out the eyes so it was easy to eat! Really appreciated that. It was nicely and lightly breaded and fried. I was expecting something sweeter probably because I'm used to the Chinese sweet and salty shrimp. Jjajang Myun - I don't know what it's supposed to taste like authentically. So take this with a grain of salt. I liked the instant jjajang Myun that I eat more cause it was sweeter. My boyfriend and I love to try new places. This one is a hole in the wall, all around it were korean restaurants that were filled with people, this one sat us and two other parties. At first we were unsure we were making the right decision, but it's now one of our favorite places to eat at. Their cheese corn is a cheese lovers dream, if you love cheese and love corn, this is heaven on earth. We also got the wings, they were boneless and tasted amazing. They were a perfect mixture of spicy and sweet. I can't handle too much spice and they were just the right amount of spicy. We also got the spam fried rice that came with the egg on top! Highly recommend these three dishes. We also got a beef bowl, this was also good but not enough beef for my personal preference. Next time going to try just the beef plate. Please PLEASE don't go here even though it's awesome. Please PLEASE don't fall in love with the food and drinks like we had. And please PLEASE don't crowd it and keep this a hidden gem but also go support them and visit because this place is good. Kimchi fried rice was a very interesting flavor, 10/10 would get it again. Can't go wrong with sharing an Army Stew with two other people. Loved how they gave a decent amount of spams and sausages! The stew itself did have a kimchi flavor which was expected! We ordered additional ramen even when it does come with it already! So if you're a fan of eating noodles, I would recommend doing that as well for an additional $3. Other than that, it was indeed hot, delicious, and filling. Would I order this again? Yes, but I do want to try the other items on their menu. Coming from JJAN in Ktown L.A., I was looking for Korean comfort food that's not the usual kbbq, udon soup or tofu house in Orange County. They have the Spicy Rice cakes with ramen on their menu. I tried to imitate the Spicy Rose Chicken with Udon and rice cake that Jjan has because I believe stir-fried udon and rice cakes go so well together. The food was *on point* and the ahjumma working was so sweet it was almost enough to make us want to return! We've never seen her in the past? Anyhow, we got their Korean Fried Chicken and Spicy Chicken Feet (gloves are provided!) which both had awesome spice. The chicken feet were definitely spicier and was perrrfect with chamisul soju. Their booth seats are on the taller end so you have great privacy in between the booths as well! They're located in a strip mall that always has plenty of parking and is right off the 5 freeway so it's convenient to get to as well. We have always been a fan of korean fried chicken. I've been to some places that fry them in olive oil, some places where the batter has a different texture, some dry rubs, wet rub, but this place makes it different. We ordered the OB SQUARE chicken wings and upon opening the to-go container and tasting our goodies, they were still delicious and crispy. The dry seasoning reminded me of a taiwanese fried porkchop, those of that color would understand what i mean. It was really good along with the tender juicy meat. However, the best part was the good bits on the bottom of the chicken. It was a salty, savory, slightly spicy mixture that goes extremely well with the chicken. It reminded me of the jalapeno and green onion mixture you get at Vietnamese weddings that they put on top of the lobster dishes. Where you hope there's leftovers of the good salty bits so you can take home and eat it with white rice. SOo good! We ordered: Cucumber Salad - smashed cucumbers with wood ear fungus and a copious amount of garlic. Don't get me wrong, it was so garlicky but SO good. OB chicken wings - salt & pepper wings with garlic & jalapeños. These are dry and really good. Garlic Wings - these had a garlic sauce smothered over them but were flavorless Popcorn Chicken - everyone loved this, especially the kids Beef Stone Pot Rice - really tasty with great nurongji (burnt rice) on the bottom. My favorite part is the chilled glass for your beers, makes it super frosty. This was the braised pork with bok choy and it was melt in your mouth good. We came across this restaurant because the restaurant that we were initially supposed to go to had a really long line. This restaurant is very spacious and there's plenty of room for large parties. The food that we ordered were OB Chicken Wings, Spicy Stir fried Korean Sausage, and Spicy Seafood Vegetable Soup. The server recommended the OB Chicken Wings but I thought it was okay. She said it was one of the most popular wings that people ordered but it's not something I would order again. The Spicy Stir Fried Korean Sausage was pretty good and I enjoyed it. The Spicy Seafood Vegetable Soup was also delicious. I loved drinking the soup. They gave generous portions of the soup that we barely finished half. I met a friend here after work for dinner. As we approached the restaurant door to go inside, we noticed that there was an employee smoking right outside the door. As he saw us enter into the restaurant, he followed us in, grabbed the menus and seated us. He completely REEKED of cigarette smoke and it lingered for a while. The restaurant was pretty empty at the time (6:30pm) and the cigarette smell was so off putting that we considered not eating here. However we decided to stick it out to give it a chance as it was both of our first times here. We ordered kimchi fried rice, fried shrimp in hot garlic sauce and 5 spicy Korean wings. Kimchi fried rice was a large portion but it did not enough spam. It had a good spicy kick but overall the flavor fell flat. The shrimp and chicken wings were good but it wasn't the best we've had. Overall the food is overpriced. When we finished eating, we sat around for a long time waiting to see any of the servers walk by so we could ask for the check. At first we were patiently waiting but after a lot time had passed, we realized we were not going to see anyone so we had to push the service button at our table to get someone to by.
