I'm a fan of this place simply because it's the only Korean drinking hole in the entire Irvine/Tustin area. At least the only one that offers traditional Korean bar food, plenty of soju and karaoke rooms, all in one spot. You also won't find any of those fancy hipster fusion dishes here, which alone, is worth a few stars. Just don't come here expecting to find some amazing Korean food or world class service. Make no mistake, this is a drinking place first and an eating place second. Which means you'll find the likes of whole fried chicken, chicken gizzards and corn cheese, all of which were respectable. Don't try to be cute and order the jjajangmyun thinking it might be good, like me. Wash it all down with a few bottles of soju and you'll be shamelessly singing your heart out in a room next door in no time, unconcerned with the little things like the price of admission or the number of people who can hear you. Excellent food and service. We were 5 last night. The place is loud and fun. In a funny strip mall. We had the cucumber and wood ear mushroom salad. Amazing. Whole fried chicken was crispy amd moist/tender inside. The Mussel Soup so flavorful and not oily or greasy. Just pure flavored broth w fresh tender mussels. The best BBQ squid ever. Heavy charred taste and tender. That's difficult to achieve. I love Korean pancakes but this one was way to oily. All the little veggie sides were house made and delicious. The kimchi fried rice is where its at!! It's a huge portion, super flavorful, and spam pieces in it. It's our absolute favorite! We also had the bulgogi beef which was good. Your enjoyment of the bulgogi may vary based on your preference of black pepper. I tasted a LOT of it in the dish. I personally liked it but I can see it being too overpowering for others. I went back finally after 2 years to give it one more go. This is the closest Korean Bar near me. I previously gave it 1 star due to service, food quality and price for soft drink. Service has definitely improved but it is still on a bit slower side. I went with group of friends and got the yelp recommended popcorn chicken, korean sweet potato fries, Spicy Chicken with cheese, Donkatsu, and salt & pepper Shrimp. All of them were good! Drinks were good as well. Love this hidden bar in Tustin. There are not many fun bars around Irvine and Tustin but this is the place to go. Plus the owner Grace is super nice and generous. I always like to come and bring friends to support her business. Food is a lot better than most Korean bars ive been to. The popcorn chicken is the best. Super crunch and flavorful. Not like other places that fills it with batter. My friends favorite was the seafood pancake. Parking is also super easy and spacious. The wait is never too long. Grilled chicken gizzards 7/10 - little too much pepper but good Ob square wings 8/10 - there's really no flavor but it's a good dry kfc Garlic chicken wings 6/10 - these are wet and were a little too sweet for my liking Customer service 10/10 - ladies were sweet and attentive, but once it got busier the food took a little more time to come out Their online menu is different than in restaurant in terms of item availability and also pricing went up. A great place to go drink and chill with friends! I'd come here to hangout with people and watch sports games while eating delicious wings! I'd have to say their wings are the best here. Garlic Chicken Wings (5/5 stars): SO DELICIOUS! I love wings that are crispy on the outside and juicy inside. These wings came out freshly made and was amazing! HAVE TO ORDER THIS. Kimchi Pork Belly with Tofu (4/5 stars): It was quite good here. But compared to other places I've tried it...this one was less flavorful than others. The pork belly wasn't seasoned that much. I really believe for this dish, the one element that separates it or gives it a kick is the pork belly has to be seasoned well and a bit crispy! Beef Hot Stone Pot (4/5 stars): This was a very large portion! Probably good to feed like three people if you're ordering other main dishes. The beef was marinated well and such ample ingredients inside! But you have to add lots of the sauce to get more flavoring OR like I did....I combined the Kimchi Pork Belly with Tofu into this dish which made it AMAZING! read more

Please come to OB square if you ever get the chance to. Portion size and pricing are both great. Service is also amazing. I hosted my birthday here and even with a large group, they were very attentive and quick with our orders. They were also nice enough to even accommodate my group at the last minute, literally had to ask the night before because something came up. They were also able to split our bill which I appreciated so much. I'm so glad I found this place and would definitely recommend it to everyone. I'll for sure be going back. *Review Update* 2019-01-18 I downgraded due to the poor service her. Last time I was here it took 30 minutes for my food and it was less than half full. I came in at opening and only the cooks were here. They offered to take my order and get the food started. They finished the food 30 min later and in the only one here. To add and make it worse they finished the food and the hosts/waiters or whoever was still not here. Now a guy is here talking on the phone with someone trying to figure out how to charge my credit card. He also had to check the menu for my items and calculate on paper since he didn't know how to use the POS system. *old review below* The food here is great! But it can be a bit of a wait. The popcorn chicken in amazing! One order will suffice for two people. The kimchi fried rice is also really good! We really enjoyed the food from here. This place is such a hidden gem! My boyfriend and I were hungry one night and were craving Korean food and this restaurant caught our eye. We came at 12 AM on a Saturday night and they welcomed us in and took our order really quickly. The food came out pretty quick. We got the cheese corn, kimchi fried rice, and 15 pc garlic chicken wings. The food tasted so good and they came out really hot. This place also has karaoke and was super lit. This place has my favorite army stew. I live a couple of minutes away and I've tried the whole menu from pancakes (just ok), the bulgogi (pretty good) but we always order the army stew. The broth is spicy but balanced (not too much gochujang) and the spam, ramen noodles and rice cakes makes this the perfect rainy day meal. This place is pretty hidden in a not very busy strip mall where Seoul Garden and Ding Tea are located. The food has a mix of Korean and Chinese feel to it. I met up with a few of my girl friends for a Girls' Night Out. We met on Monday night so it wasn't very busy. We ordered a steamed dumplings, garlic winds, ob wings, string beans, and bibimbap. I'm so shocked that I just found out about this place! It's located in this random plaza with a lot of really random Asian restaurants and the new Ding Tea. I came with my friend for an early dinner so there was only a few parties inside, but my friend said that it's usually a lot busier on weekends. We were seated and served by a nice korean lady! Ok onto the food... - jjajang egg bokkumbap (black bean sauce over fried rice): 5/5. I LOVED THIS. Like... I was so mind blown by how it tasted haha. It's such a basic dish, but it was just really good. Highly recommend! I will need to try their noodle version next time. - jjamppong (spicy seafood soup??): 5/5. I'm usually not the biggest fan of jjamppong but dang this one was GOOD and addicting. My friend really loved it as well. I liked the noodles they used.. - garlic chicken wings: 4.999/5. Delicious. Comes with 5 pieces (?) very garlicky and slightly tangy! Really really good. But a little too tangy for me. My friend LOVESSS it. Service was great! Food was great. Saw this place while we were checking out another restaurant at this strip mall. First of all, the service were EXCELLENT. We sat outdoor but few mosquitoes friends decided to visit us and it was a bit I comfortable to enjoy the meal. We jokingly said, if would helped we have a fan to get the air circulating, and voilà, we had our own price air flow to chase the unwanted friends away! The pork feet salad were excellent, their infamous spicy squid noodles were quite tasty as well. The whole fried chicken didn't have any taste at all. Korean fusion restaurant that dabbles in some other Asian cuisines. Set up like a dance club and bar, there are lighting elements and plenty of loud music. A private karaoke room can be requested for larger parties. The majority of the food is Korean influenced, but the execution and flavor is just average. The menu has snacks, appetizers, chicken wings, main dishes, noodle and rice dishes, soups & stews, BBQ and a decent selection of soju and beer. Posting a photo on social media using a specific hashtag or writing a review on Yelp entitles you to a free bottle of soju. For food, we got the chicken gizzards, bulgogi bibimbap, army stew, black bean noodles, OB wings, fried squid and corn cheese. For soju, we got the peach soju in a bottle and a yogurt soju carafe. Of all the food we ordered, the best was the chicken wings. Breaded and seasoned nicely, they were juicy and crunchy. They're topped with sliced green onions and jalapenos. I wasn't a fan of the black bean noodles and was disappointed by it. The flavor of the sauce wasn't authentic and just tasted slightly off and weird. There weren't any chopped cucumbers or other additions that are traditionally found in this dish. The army stew is a spectacle. They bring out a mobile gas stove, light it and place a large metal pot on top. Inside, there's instant noodles, veggies, enoki mushrooms and sausage. The broth was slightly spicy and didn't have that much flavor to it. The noodles were mediocre and there wasn't enough sausage added. The fried squid was just weird. It was cold smoked and arrived at the table cold. There's something just not right about eating cold squid. The majority of our party avoided the rings and just munched on the tentacles, which were crunchy. The gizzards were served teppanyaki style, so they were on a sizzling griddle. They're served with green and white onions and peppers. The gizzards were crunchy and tender in the middle. The residual heat from the griddle helped keep everything hot and continued cooking the gizzards to give the edges more crunch. The corn cheese was okay. The cheese was slightly burnt and didn't coat the corn kernels well. The bibimbap was a traditionally prepared but not hot enough. The beef was easily the best part about the dish. It was soft, tender and had good BBQ flavor. Between the peach and yogurt soju, the peach was the clear favorite among our party. It was fruity, extremely smooth and had a very mild and clean finish. We ended up getting 2 bottles. The yogurt soju was good, but the amount of acidity in it made it slightly unpleasant to drink. The service was very lackluster. They weren't attentive to our needs or requests. It took forever to get the attention of a server to order food, ask for more utensils, napkins or water. The menu wasn't very descriptive and they didn't offer any useful additional insight when asked. read more
