    Everything was Delicious

Now this is what I'm talking about!! There should be a limited amount of 6 star restaurants you can give out because this is definitely one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in a long time. The sandwich, hot food items, and dessert were all amazing and the restaurant was clean, bright and had personality to it. Portions were huge and everything tasted so fresh/high quality. I am already planning a trip back out here to try the pizza as that what most people seemed to be ordering around us.

I'm still a big fan of Obo's since they first opened 10 years ago. The food is consistent and periodically rotated by seasonal ingredients. Friendly service. Excellent bartender making amazing cocktails. Excellent wine selection. I love the set up of the restaurant and comfortable interiors. Definitely check out their weekly dinner specials.

The best cesar salad I've had. Everything was so good and fresh tasting. Great service and the ambiance was nice. We ordered the cesar salad, the little Italy sandwhich, and chicken fettuccine alfredo. Everything was sooooo good. Prices are high but the food made it worth it. Their desserts were good as well. Cant wait to return!

So hubby and I came here for dinner. We had the Short Rib Pappardelle (short rib ragu, pancetta, tomato, parmesan, toasted breadcrumbs), the Hot Italian pizza (garlic oil, pepperoni, pancetta, salami, mozzarella, parmesan, calabrian chili, basil, honey) and Chopped Salad (romaine, arugula, radicchio, chicken, piquillo pepper, pepperoncini, red onion, salami, mozzarella, parmesan, ciabatta croutons, basil, red wine vinaigrette). Omg! Let's talk about the pizza it was so good! It was full of flavors, you can taste everything and it wasn't too spicy. The pasta was amazing! The short rib was tender and perfectly cooked! It didn't overpower the pasta either. The salad was more than i anticipated. It was great the could've just had pizza and salad bc the salad was filling. We ended up taking more than half home. The service was great the staff are attentive and bring your food once it's ready. They made sure we were good. Asked if we needed anything THEN came back around to see how we were doing. The ambiance is good can be a nice place to catch up with friends or enjoy a nice meal with your partner. Almost forgot my espresso martini! The bartender deserved recognition because it was balanced allowing for flavors while having a small buzz. Will be back. Reminded me of Sellands - their sister restaurant!

Celebrated my nephew's graduation at OBO's Italian Restaurant last week! It's a great lunch spot with plenty of parking and no reservations needed. The interior is bright, spacious, and minimalist in the best way, and the staff are nice. Note: water & utensils, are self serve. We ordered the salad, pizza, meatball pasta, and short rib pasta. While the meatball pasta was a bit too acidic, the rib pasta was rich, filling, and delicious. Definitely save room for dessert, the banana pudding was incredible! Highly recommend.

Adj: Tasty and Freshly made Sandwiches and Sides Attended an event that had OBO' Italian catered lunches and besides the vegetarian item, the choices were turkey avocado sandwich or an Italian sandwich and I chose the former. It was quite loaded with good turkey meat and lots of avocado. I liked the use of arugula although it's not a popular veggie amongst most. I also like the pepperoncini which some might pick out. The bread was pretty solid too, but not for the faint of carbs... Shall we jump over the salad straight to the dessert? The cookie was quite delish so that I forgot to let my camera take a bite before I took a chunk off and popped that into my mouth. It's got the chewiness, but also a bit of crunch around the edges. But what really surprised me was how good the chickpea / Garbanzo bean salad was! It was light, refreshing and flavorful, I forgot to get a picture. In any case, the whole meal was tasty and the sandwich was hefty so even half was too much at one sitting. Since it was a catered event, I can't comment on the service, but the presentation was good on the tables and the packaging of each box was careful and thoughtful. Overall, OBO' did a great job. I'm not usually in East Sac much, but now that I know about OBO', I'm going to have to go check them out.

We came here for an early dinner and ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese, OBO Combination pizza, mac n cheese, and the Devil's Food Cake. The rigatoni is smothered in rich, savory bolognese made with beef and pork, and topped with fresh herbs. The OBO Combination pizza was made with tomato sauce, mozzarella, salami, pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives, and parmesan. Everything we ordered was delicious. However, I originally ordered the tiramisu at the cashier, and when the waiter brought our food to the table, they informed me that the tiramisu had sold out. So I chose the chocolate cake instead, which I personally didn't enjoy as much. I hope they can improve communication around sold-out items in the future. I still recommend it if you're looking for Italian food in a casual setting.

Food was great! We shared a Crispy Edge Short Rib Lasagna and Summer Corn & Cherry Tomato Gnocchi. We grabbed some desserts to go, salted caramel cookie and strawberry trea leche jar. Everything was delicious. Staff was nice and super cute inside.

Me and my wife came to this restaurant for dinner. I found out about this restaurant through social media. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by staff. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. We ordered the hot Italian pizza, chopped salad and the short rib pappardale. I ordered an old fashioned and my wife ordered espresso martini. We both loved our drinks. The pizza and the pasta were the stars of the show. The pizza was delicious and very flavorful. The pasta was soft and the short rib was cooked to perfection. The salad was delicious and fresh. The ambiance is customer friendly and the restaurant is very lively. The menu has a lot of great food options. This is a great place to eat.

We came to OBO on a Saturday evening. It was surprising how difficult parking was, the parking lot across the street was packed! I actually quite dig OBO as a concept. The checkout reminds me of IKEA food court, line up and order, and they'll bring your food to you. Self service for utensils, water, etc. We had two of the pizzas, one of which was the combo pizza. Crust was soft but still held shape, and toppings had good taste. For the pastas, we had the Rigatoni Bolognese. I would give it a 4/5, slightly al-dente and quite nice. Skip the Mac and Cheese imo.

The food was solid. Loved loved the salmon. It was tender and buttery and the capers added a nice bitterness to complement the flavors. My second favorite was the shrimp tortalini was a bit more bland but the creaminess was very good. It's a unique spot as you order at the counter and they bring you fresh Italian food! Parking here can be a little hard to find but you'll get it. Very cute inside and great for larger groups.

My boyfriend and I were in the area for work and decided to stop by OBO'. There are 2 small paid parking lots across the street. We stayed there for about an hour and paid $4. Ordering was easy and straight forward! I got their chicken fettuccine alfredo and appreciated how creamy the sauce was. I added a little cracked pepper and chili flakes and it was even more tasty than before! My boyfriend ordered a cold sandwich and was also very impressed with his dish! In his case, he declined a side of fries with his meal but I love how a side dish is even a possibility with their sandwiches! Their focaccia bread was delicious but for sure would have loved it more if it were warm. Finally, we ordered their chocolate mousse bar and loved the balance between the rich chocolate and whipped cream on top. Definitely a great place for a quick bite!! Loved the warm hospitality from the amazing workers!

Came here for happy hour for the first time (love when I find out a place I enjoy also has happy hour!) and got the meatball sliders and Parmesan fries. You get three meatball sliders, which come in focaccia bread (delish) and with a pesto sauce. Sooo yum The Parmesan fries were also good but I think I was more impressed with the sauces they came with! A balsamic ketchup and some sort of a tangy ranch. 10/10. OBO is always good, gets pretty busy at dinner time but if you go for happy hour you should expect to get your food quickly!

For drinks, I ordered the Watermelon Raspberry Margarita. It was crisp, refreshing, and packed with flavor. The skirt steak was juicy and tender, topped with fresh onions and cilantro, and served with salsa verde and lime on the side. The tacos had that classic street taco feel, simple but satisfying. They were generously filled with meat, which I definitely appreciated. While I'm personally not a fan of purple tortillas, the quality of the steak and toppings still made these very enjoyable. My only real criticism was the water service. The cups were fairly small, and refills weren't offered as often as I would have liked. If you're thirsty, it may be worth asking for a pitcher or larger water service upfront. Overall, I left feeling full and satisfied. This is my first classic martini (unlike lychee martinis I've had before at other places). My server asked how I like it, with olive juice or with lemon twist or another option I don't remember. To be honest I don't know how I like it because it's is my first classic martini. So I was honest with him. I said I'll do whatever you recommend because I wanted to try a classic martini cuz I've been watching Gossip Girl. I felt silly admitting I wanted a martini because of a tv show. But my server actually did his research and found that Blair (a main character in the show) likes her martini with a lemon twist. And that is the martini I got. He brought frozen glass and poured the drink on the spot. It was such a vibe and a great drink. For food I got the grilled prawns. This dish is delicious and goes so well with my martini! For my second drink I got the shiso fresh. I was debating between two drinks and asked my server for suggestions. He is absolutely right with this recommendation. Shiso fresh is refreshing and sweet but not too sweet. I loved it. Service is wonder and drinks are tasty. I can't wait to come back!

The interior is dark and light simultaneously, with its rich textiles and colors, high ceilings and the large south-facing window on the long exterior wall. Really nicely done and quite inviting. Travis mixed up what could very well have been the best Old Fashioned we've ever had. It's not my preferred cocktail, but if more were like this one, that may be another story. I opted for the Kumquat Kiss, which was delicious and different. Besides that Old Fashioned, the Hash Brown Lyonnaise really stole the show. Pillow-light hash brown sticks (how did they do that?!) with a scrumptious onion dip with crispy shallots and finely chopped chives. This is one of my top happy hour dishes of the year. Just wow! Try it yourself and tell me you don't agree. The Grilled Prawns missed the mark for me a bit, although the husband liked them. Tasty, but just not as much of a star as the other dish. Only suggestion is to have a happy hour menu for bites as well as beverages, as is found on the website. This would help avoid the need for staff to present a dinner menu (which admittedly, I was confused by) and acknowledge that the first course options are all available but at no happy hour discount (which felt a bit awkward for all involved). Overall, a delightful discovery!

I'm going to enter their first annual steak cooking contest! I think I have a good chance. Well, actually a GREAT chance!! SERVICE The staff is top notch. They are great at explaining the experience, food items and cocktails. They ask what you like and what you don't like and then make informed recommendations drawing on their experience and expertise. DECOR Dark, soft and cozy. Great 70's music playing. Not too loud currently. A nice chill vibe. Live music on certain nights of the week. Take a chance and come in to find out when and enjoy! CLEANLINESS Always clean! I have never experienced otherwise. They have pride in all that they do and it shows! LOCATION In the heart of Sacramento. Good street parking. A nice location! PRICE All in all, respectable. Comparatively speaking in our current financial climate, they are priced great! OVERALL EXPERIENCE Always enjoy coming back. I come alone, with another person, or a booger group. All are great experiences!

I came here for happy hour and ordered a handful of their items. Chicken Lumpia - over all I was pleased with how piping hot, fresh out the fryer it was. A bit thin for my linking but I appreciated there were 6 pieces. The sauce did not pair well. There was something off about it that isn't your typical sweet and sour; maybe the sauce was made in house. Sisig fries - decent portion of fries but fell short on the pork. Lacked an egg and didn't really meet the sisig flavors that I'm used to. You can definitely taste the zestiness of the lemon - nice touch, but other than that it's just fries with pork, red onion and green onion garnish. Hot dog - a $9 happy hour hot dog was the biggest disappointment. Sure the bread texture was good, toasted with a nice chew, but that was it. The dog itself was charged to my linking but it really didn't feel worth the money spent for its portion. Fries - 100% would get again. Cauliflower bites - I liked this too, flavor was good but such a small portion our table has to order two. Similar to the hotdog, not sure if it's worth the spend for the portion size. Despite the food not satisfying my cravings, the service was great. The young lady was helpful and was working hard taking orders, making drinks and delivering the food. The place was pretty busy at least the indoor area. Plenty of seating outside, but in this heat not sure if it's a good idea. Didn't see any misters but would be a nice touch to draw in more folks. Side note: some of the cocktails are premade, and can be overly sweet.
