We were recommended by our Air BnB to visit the OB's Cafe. We visited on a Sunday morning and it was busy. One of the guest moved over on the counter so our party of four could sit down. We were welcomed in right away by staff. It was amazing to watch the staff greet people by name and interact with everyone in the room as if we were all old friends. This was all done while managing a packed house. The breakfasts were HUGE portions of perfectly prepared food! The menu was also such reasonable prices. The diner was clean and decorated with lots of local awards filling the walls of the cafe. We all left with a full belly, take out boxes, plenty of cash still in our pockets and a smile on our face given to us by the friendly staff!! read more

I've been to O.B.'s Cafe multiple times and have generally been served acceptable diner breakfast food. The staff is generally courteous and I've been a faithful customer of theirs. However, today (10/3/15), I decided to once again dine at O.B.'s and had severely sub-par service and food. Had the situation been resolved internally at the restaurant, I would not feel compelled to present this publicly. However, the staff at O.B.'s Cafe did not show me this courtesy as is standard with customer service, and thus I feel obligated to bring forth this situation. My boyfriend and I ordered the Eggs 'n' Hash and French Toast with Strawberries (with whipped cream). The eggs and hash were phenomenal as usual. But to our dismay, a number of strawberries on the french toast dish were found to be moldy after we uncovered them from the whipped cream that was very excessively topped (perhaps strategically) thus masking the evidently moldy strawberries. Being conscious of not wanting to waste food, I carefully ate around the moldy strawberries with the plan to note it to the staff following our meal. When the waitress came to collect our plates, we explained the situation to her, and she paid minimal attention to it. While waiting for the check, we assumed that the staff would have the courtesy to apologize for serving food of inedible quality, instead, we were presented with the check without any acknowledgement of the situation. Infuriated, we left paying just half of the bill, feeling justified that as customers, we should be revered with respect and have our concerns acknowledged by the institution. Upon leaving, another waitress chased us down from the restaurant exclaiming that we had not paid the entire bill. When we explained the moldy strawberries to her, she adamantly stated that no such thing had occurred and moldy strawberries were not served. After some time, the waitress that had been attending to us came out and we settled the situation. She stated that had her boss been present, she could have brought the issue to his/her attention and everything would have been resolved. Instead, we, as customers, were treated as if we were in the wrong. I did not ask to have moldy strawberries served to me, and never, as a customer, should I leave your business feeling as if I was the one at fault. I do not expect to return to O.B.'s Cafe again as their treatment of me today does not deserve my patronage. read more

Tried it once and won't return. The food was over-cooked and under seasoned. The service was slow at best. It was difficult to get the attention of the our waitress. Our meal from start to finish took an hour and a half while we watched other parties sit after us and finish before us with no apologies from any staff member. Not a good experience. read more

If anyone gives this place less than 5 stars they're lying. Service is always friendly, cheap prices and honestly the best hollandaise sauce I've ever had. I get a breakfast special number 8 (not even looking at the menu I just come here that often) wheat toast, eggs poached with bacon and I add in a side of sausage with hollandaise sauce on the side, I also love their home fries. read more

Waitstaff was amazing and very friendly. The diner is a lot bigger than most diners I've went to in Quincy. I ordered the number 8 : two eggs, home fries, toast and ham. You have two other options which are bacon and sausage. The food was okay, the home fries didn't have much of a taste to them but other than that I had a very good experience with them. read more

Seriously O.B.'s........SERIOUSLY! Granted I've only had your breakfast, but it is ...how you say.....THE BALLS. Everything I've had has been great. I usually get a standard breakfast. you know, 2 eggs scrambled with home fries, bacon and toast. Which is always great. This past weekend i got a Broccoli and Cheese omellete. Perfect! mmmmmm. nick and i love walking over to o.b's on weekday mornings. we usually sit right at the counter if there's room. the tv's always playing cartoons, which i love! i can have an adult breakfast while still feeling like a kid watching saturday morning cartoons. :D i love that! we usually end up getting the same stuff, 'cause it's so good. we share an order of the eggs benedict with sausage on the side. a monte cristo sandwich (my first one ever a while back. and it's my new favorite sandwich!!!), and sometimes a pancake. but usually, that's overdoing it 'cause it's so much food. the portions are great. the prices are super low. the service is awesome. they're all really friendly there, and it doesn't matter what you ask them for, they always bring it to you with a smile. it's a nice way to start any weekday morning. a cup of coffee, friendliness, cartoons, and yummy food! read more

Just moved down by OB's recently and decided that it was time to try it. So my sister and I headed down there today for a late breakfast/early lunch. Never ever disappointed. What's not to love about this place? Seat yourself and the wait staff is quick to get you menus and drinks. Orders don't take long to come out of the kitchen. The menu is pretty extensive and the prices are great. The breakfast specials always have so much food, as does every other plate here. French toast and pancakes are amazing and the servings are HUGE. The breakfast combos are great if you're in the mood for everything. I always get one with eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, and a pancake. Not a fan. There are so many breakfast places in Quincy, so I don't know why anyone would go here. I ordered a pancake and it was undercooked-mushy. Table was sticky, silverware was dirty and there was dried up egg on my coffee mug. Breakfast is usually a 30 minute ordeal, but here it took an hour and fifteen minutes. Hit up Emma's instead. My favorite diner. Come hungry. The amount of food you get can make a body builder on cheat day blush. Service is slow, but as long as you have good company and you all can put your phones away and talk you won't even mind the wait. The staff is wicked friendly, and the menu is very straight forward. My personal favorite is the hash, which is what I order on the side of anything I get and then share with a friend. Come early to snag a table on the weekend...or if you and your crew are too hung over or lazy or want to eat in the comfort of your own home: pickup is an option if you call in. Overall I thought this was a good place to eat. The portions were very generous and the quality was good. The coffee tasted a little burnt, though. Also, you can't beat the price. The total bill for two big eaters was less than $20 and we couldn't even finish. The service started off great. We received our food pretty quickly, however, after we finished eating it took a good 15 minutes to get the check. A reminder, it is cash only -- so come prepared! I read some of the reviews before visiting O.B.'s this morning, and since some of them mentioned bad service, I felt the need to come back and write my own review. Our waitress was Barbara, and she was nice and efficient and super friendly. The portions are indeed large, but tasty. I had Breakfast special #3, and my two scrambled eggs looked more like four, but the bacon was crispy and the eggs were cooked nicely. The blueberry pancake I had was enormous. It was a bit dry, I'll admit, which is why I gave four stars instead of five. But, as far as breakfast places go, I agree that this is one of the best breakfast places in the area! read more

The food at OB's is soooo good:-) They have almost everything you can think of as far as breakfast goes. I would have to say the pancakes are my favorite, but I also love the SPUDS & SCRAM, and the Banana Nut French Toast. I generally go there on Sundays, and lately I think I wait longer for a table (sometimes 10-15 minutes) than I ever do for the food. I have tried the other diners in the area and their food always seems to be greasy or have some kind of funny after taste. This has never happened at OB's, the food is always fantastic. The waitstaff is friendly and fast and they even have a busboy, which means my coffee cup is always full. I would eat there everday if I could, but than again I probably wouldn't fit in the seats if I ate there everyday :-) read more

This place is sensational! There seem to be many local regulars that come in and the servers all know their names. The food is really good. Breakfast is great, but the cheeseburgers and chicken Parmesan sandwiches for lunch are hidden gems.I love that I can have the option of pasta salad with my lunch.
