If you're looking for a low-key place to grab a beer, cider, or wine on tap, be sure to check out Olney Beer & Wine. They have about 25 beverages on tap at a time that rotate. If you have the munchies while you're there, they offer charcuterie (2 or 4 selections of different meats and cheeses) and hummus as well. Bonus if you go during HH (M-Sa 4-7pm and Sun all day), where you get 20% off drinks and food. Score! While you eat/drink, you can also watch sports on 1 of 2 TVs. There are plenty of high tops, and when I've gone here, the place wasn't too busy so you can definitely socially distance yourself from other patrons Service is super friendly, with staff happy to answer any questions you may have on the items in the shop. If you're near the Olney Village Center and looking to grab a drink somewhere (or to go), definitely check out OBW.

Great selection, fun time and friendly staff. We will definitely be back to support this local gem.

Great atmosphere with seating for a beer or wine tasting

Go Here! In fact, drop what your are doing and go here right now! Great beer selection - lots of local and unique beers. Also they have a bar on site with a real chill atmosphere to have a couple of pints or take away a crowler. There is a real nice seating area to enjoy some beers or wine. They also have charcuterie platters. The owner, Miguel, was awesome to sit and chat with as we drank our beers.

Surprisingly pleased with my Walker's experience!…read more I met with a former student. Since I got there a little early, I ordered a small pizza as an appetizer. The waiter didn't quite know what I meant, but did get the request to slice it in smaller rectangles rather than triangle slices. It was light and tasty. However, I'm pretty sure I'd be very hungry if I had ordered it as my meal. That was followed by the beer can chicken cobb salad. It was just the right size! We sat outside. Since Walker's is at the end of the strip, they have outdoor seating on the sidewalk. No fault of the establishment, when the sun went down, it got cold quickly! Now, I'm inclined to try the other Table and Tap restaurant a couple miles west.

Hubby and I met friends here for double date night. We were greeted by a kind hostess who quoted a 30-35 minute wait. They do not accept reservations. We were seated within 15 minutes and greeted by Jackson. This restaurant was spacious, clean, and had a semi woodsy décor. Collectively, we ordered the following. Winter Daiquiri Walter's Old Fashioned Shots (Titos, Crown Royal, Lemon Drop, Green Tea) Sparkling Cosmo Black Manhattan Smoked Wings (Buffalo) Pan Seared Salmon Fish & Chips Cajun Crab Cake Sandwich The beverages did what they were ordered to do. They gave hefty pours and we appreciated it. The Smoked Buffalo Wings were pretty yum. Great portion size. Tasty. Pan Seared Salmon was perfectly prepared to my liking, I substituted the risotto for fries to avoid the dairy. It was pretty good. I would order again. Well plated w zucchini under salmon. The fish and chips were the hit at the table. The breading had an amazing flavor, and the fish was prepared well. The Cajun Crab Sandwich was a hit w my hubby. He devoured his food quickly stating he would get it again. It was well plated, flavorful, and fulfilling. We received 10/10 service by Jackson who was attentive to our requests. There was an issue w a dish at our table that the manager (Kelly) resolved quickly, and left our table mate happy. I highly recommend this establishment for a good, hearty meal.

World of Beer was one of those places that pleasantly surprised me…read more I stopped in expecting a typical sports bar vibe and standard bar food, but the atmosphere was much more relaxed and welcoming than I anticipated. The beer selection was extensive (as you'd expect), with plenty of options whether you're a craft beer enthusiast or just looking for something familiar. I've been to other World of Beer locations before and honestly couldn't remember if I enjoyed the food or not, so I'm glad I gave this one another try. What stood out most was the service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable without being pushy. It's always nice when servers can make recommendations without making you feel like you're taking a pop quiz on beer. The food was solid too. Everything came out fresh, hot, and well-portioned. One person in our group ordered the chicken sub and thought it was a little dry and basic, but the rest of us really enjoyed our meals--or maybe we were just really hungry. Either way, there weren't many complaints coming from our table. I also appreciated that it felt like a place where you could do a little bit of everything--catch a game, meet friends for happy hour, grab dinner, or just unwind after a long day. Overall, World of Beer delivered good food, good drinks, and good service. Sometimes that's all you need. I'd definitely stop by again when I'm in the area. Fair warning: the crab rangoon dip isn't pictured. We attacked it the moment it hit the table, and by the time someone mentioned taking a picture, it was gone.

He rushed us to order, made us uncomfortable when we were deciding what to order, and asked us if we wanted the house made bread. I knew the bread was $5 but he made no mention of it. If I was coming to eat there and was asked if I wanted bread and didn't know there was a charge, I would be upset. It was kind of deceiving, and when the bill came out, shoved the handheld device to pay in my face and I couldn't go over the bill. He told me to put my phone here when paying and that was that. The bill was incorrect and I had to get a manager to fix it (the manger was very friendly and took care of everything). I also have an issue when a server asks us how the food is, right when the food gets put down on the table. We hadn't even had a chance to take a bite. Now, why I gave this place a five star. Like I said before, the ambiance was amazing, if we had a different server, I'm sure it would had been great! The food: it' was top notch. Some of the best food in Maryland. I wouldn't had changed anything with the food. Everything was seasoned perfectly, had the right textures, and tasted so good! Would I go back? Absolutely!

The house is also subdivided into smaller rooms, so there is no more than about 6 tables per section. It made it intimate and well curated. We went with friends and came prepared to eat. We ordered plenty of appetizers, our meals, and 2 desserts. My favorites were the burrata and arancini. My salad was basic, but trying a bite of my husband's steak was fantastic. Pretty much everything was a baseline of good enough to order again, but now that I've gone once the things I need again are pretty much all the appetizers and a steak. As for the desserts, they were just ok. I don't think I've ever had a dry olive oil cake, but this one was. The gelato on top made up for it because it was like an added sauce. Finally, our server was ok. He was great with our orders and refilling our drinks. However, he was a little sneaky with asking us the type of water we wanted and if we wanted the focaccia for the table that you had to pay for. He also just rushed my husband through the bill so he could not see if it was accurate and he had added an appetizer that we never got. He was still nice and good waiter. Just minor things in an overall great experience.
