The scallops tasted fresh and the braised beef was well done. Both items melted in our mouths. We both ordered a filet with a couple of sides. Cooked to perfection. The black truffle mac and cheese and the jalapeño potatoes were the best sides we ordered. Our waiter provided the best service of our lives. I'm over the moon about Ocean Prime!!! This is going to be a long one! We decided Ocean Prime would host us for our 2nd year anniversary from a glowing recommendation from our Pastor and his wife. Full exposure... they earned these 5 stars well before we were even seated at the restaurant. Over a week of planning I was in contact with the staff trying to make our night a memorable one and they immediately locked arms with me to take care of my wife and I. They stored a bouquet I brought for my wife and a (secret) Tory Burch bag that was to be her gift up until we came in to dine. Valerie one of the hostesses helped tremendously, over two days we spoke over the phone and when I finally dropped them off she even kept my 1 year old busy while I frantically tried to write on her greeting card legibly . She deserves a raise ! I don't know who I need to ask about this! In addition to her the gentleman I spoke to before I met Valerie was amazing also helping to start this process. Jose was the manager who was on staff the night of our wedding anniversary and though I didn't get to meet him. Everyone was so phenomenal and a immaculate representation of the leadership at Ocean Prime. Our service began with warm greetings from the host who guided us to our private booth. Nick our server was one of the greatest we have ever had. I'm not joking! He promptly greeted us and was polite, punctual and most importantly he was authentic. We aren't an older couple so we like a balance of humor and relatability when we dine with more upscale restaurants. He made great recommendations and brought out the gifts for my wife with a celebratory butter cake (highly recommended from the pastors ). I cannot thank Nick enough. His assistant server greeted us also and was very kind, we had hoped to have seen him again before the night was over but he did mention that he was newer to the staff at Ocean Prime and it was later in the evening so he potentially may have gone home but with Nick we didn't feel his absence in the least! Ask for Nick he will take care of you. The food was as my wife would say "crack" lol. The crab cake was phenomenal with a light slaw that made for a combination of flavors so explosive and balanced all at the same time. The sushi; firecracker roll was quite honestly the best sushi we have ever had... crack lol. Our entrees were cooked perfectly; the blackened snapper was a spicy sweet filet and my wife had the bone in fillet with shrimp scampi. All of the food was amazing and we shared everything including our side of asparagus which I don't know how they made so delicious and crunchy and one of the very best lobster mac and cheeses we have ever had. We ended our dining experience with the highly recommended butter cake and it did not disappoint in the least. I have a love hate relationship with restaurant desserts. I feel as though it's the red headed step child of fine dining and often opt to leave the restaurant and end date night at a nice bakery... NOT AT OCEAN PRIME. This butter cake was absolutely amazing. It's like they have temperature down to a science the ice cream wasn't frozen but it wasn't melting and the butter cake was hot but not burning. I can't talk enough about it. Get. The. Butter. Cake. Atmosphere was elegant as you would expect from fine dining but this was the first experience where we had a curtained booth. The restaurant was beautiful but in our booth where I only saw my beautiful wife, delicious food and wine, and Tyler every 6 1/2 minutes. Was all that I needed. It was so far removed from earth in our little private area that it felt like it was just us in the restaurant. Tyler made it feel like we were his only customers. Valerie felt like my personal assistant getting things ready for the occasion. This experience deserves a million stars. We can't wait to celebrate at ocean prime again truly truly. We came here as a large group and enjoyed every aspect of our dining experience. First of all, the service was top notch. Our water and wine glasses were constantly refilled, the timing of our courses was perfect and everyone was so polite and helpful. To start, we opted for oysters, goat cheese ravioli, calamari, several salads and deviled eggs. Everything was so good! I originally wanted to order the sea bass as my entree but they were out, so I opted for the blackened snapper instead. It was delicious! It melts in your mouth. We ordered most of the available sides (they're big enough for sharing), my favorite being the mac and cheese- it was so good! Loved the brussel sprouts and smoked Gouda tater tots, too (wish there was more of them, though!). We finished off with several desserts which are made in-house and the portions are massive. We went here over this past weekend to celebrate our 20th anniversary and all I can say WOW! This restaurant exceeded our expectation. We were greeted once we arrived and were acknowledged for our anniversary. We waited for them to set up the table. When they were ready we sat in a private area where they set everything up for a romantic feel. They had a card wishing us a Happy Anniversary with rose petals and candlelight. The food was beyond amazing. I ordered the 8 Oz Filet Mignon with a garlic shrimp scampi the sides we ordered were the roasted Brussels sprouts with the smoked Gouda tater tots. I recommend the east coast oysters over the west coast, as they had more flavor to them even though they looked smaller. The calamari was fried perfectly and wasn't rubbery. It comes with a good complementing sauce and carrots and sprouts. The French onion soup was superb. Had plenty of cheese covering delicious onions and bread. The soup comes in a big bowl, so be prepared for that. The lamb chops were a good size and was cooked to perfection. Had the right flavor too. The bacon creamed spinach didn't seem to have bacon in it, but had a strong bacon flavor. Maybe it was cooked in bacon fat? The asparagus was tender and even better with the hollandaise. The lobster mashed potatoes was amazing. Tasted a little like crawfish, but the sauce they used really made it. I definitely recommend this place, and the server Alex. First time we have been back since the pandemic. Decided to comhe here to celebrate our 40th Anniversary. Did not disappoint. Started tonight at the bar where Jason opened the bottle we brought with us and we also ordered the tuna tartar. Which was awesome!!! Jason was great at the bar. Talked with us for a while and provided great service. When done we moved to a table that was decorated with rose peddles for our anniversary. Aliyah provided great service and recommendations. We never felt rushed at all. We shared a wedge salad which even split was more than enough. We shared the sea bass which is by far the best in the area. Everyone was extremely friendly and made the experience very personable. I wish I could remember the name of our hostess because she was amazing. We were escorted to a booth that was reserved for us and they decorated the table with REAL rose pedals. Ocean Prime had a larger seafood entree menu than the others. A little smaller than the rest as well. Great bar. Decent cocktails. Service was solid. Even though restaurant was not half full on a Sunday night, we were seated next to the waiter valet station. We heard dishes bang constantly, silverware rattle, and got to hear the staff talk about tables and their lives. Do not sit near this station. Really detracts from a $150 a head restaurant. Steak tartare would have been better diced vs ground. French onion soup was stellar. Bone in filet was perfect. Potatoes au gratin better than Flemings. Grouper, scallops, and tuna steak superb. Sautéed mushroom terribly salty. Truffle fries were Parmesan fries. No one at the table could taste/smell any truffle at all. Great option if you can't get into Eddie Vs. Ocean Prime is a high end, high quality restaurant, err fine dining establishment. I think I had lunch at the Ocean Prime in Denver and it was a very popular restaurant. I was in Orlando for a conference and a company offered to take me to dinner, little did I know we were going super high end. Ocean Prime has a nice selection of fresh seafood and steaks. The appetizers offer a variety of hot and cold seafood options including fresh, hand rolled sushi, oysters and of course a seafood tower. The drink menu is terrific from delicious, refreshing mixed cocktails to a vast wine menu (and there's beer too). After determining neither of us wanted the meat sweats, even though there was a 48 oz. Tomahawk steak that serves two. The steaks have add-on options, aka "accessories", needless to say because this was Ocean Prime, my colleague and I opted for seafood/fish dishes - he got the Blackened Snapper, which looked very good, and I decided on the Florida Grouper because when in Rome, right? While there was some pieces of lobster, gnocchi, and peas with my grouper, we ordered a side of Parmesan Truffle Fries - so good! For those who don't care about calories, I probably would have gone with the Black Truffle Mac & Cheese. We also decided to get the Warm Butter Cake which comes with fresh berries (raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries), vanilla ice cream, and raspberry sauce. It's definitely the best dessert they have but again, it's not super healthy. As for drinks, I recommend the Cucumber Gimlet - light and refreshing. Service was impeccable, however the only thing I would say is for those on a budget, do not got to Ocean Prime - it's not an inexpensive place (think $$$-$$$$, not $ or $$), but when it's business, it's worth it! Our waiter was Wilmer and he was the absolute best! This was my husband and I's first time here, Wilmer explained the menu in great detail and was her attentive to our needs. The food was beyond compare, we've never ate at somewhere so good in our lives. There's only one vegetarian option which is the vegetable roll (sushi) but it was good. The lobster bisque was flavorful but I wish there would've been more lobster chunks, but then again I've never had lobster bisque with a ton of lobster outside of New England. Our waitress brought out a basket of bread, (sourdough and pretzel). I personally ordered a couple of sangrias. The drink were decent, not the best, but definitely got the job done. My ribeye was great, it was tender and extremely flavorful. I ordered a side of their Truffle Mac and cheese as well, it was decent. My wife ordered the filet mignon from the magical dining menu. I was too busy devouring my steak that I forgot to even ask her if she enjoyed hers. For Dessert I ordered the ten layer Carrot Cake. although the cake was delicious I felt as if there was more icing than actual cake, having been to other locations I was pretty disappointed. But the cake was delicious nonetheless. First time here, reservations recommended especially during the weekend. There is free valet in front of the restaurant since parking lot can get really busy during the weekend. The place is very nice the lights are dimmed low, you can gol on a date or for a nice family dinner. I tried their lamb chops and I must say it's been some of the best lamb chops I have ever had! Steaks don't come with a side you have to get this separately. I also tried the lobster bisque soup it was a good appetizer or a good starter if you're sharing items with someone, they'll serve you a bowl with lobster pieces and then the waiter will pour the soup over, I say there could be a little more lobster pieces for the price. I also got to taste the lobster pasta dish, which was delicious! I think I will get a dish for myself next time. I had a cucumber tequila drink which was very refreshing, they' do have some cocktails with the nitrogen ice, you can see your glass smoke when the waiter pours the liquor into your glass. Magical dining month visit. First time here and it was wonderful. It has a beautiful bar area. I had the lobster bisque (husband copied me on that), filet mignon with whipped potatoes and green beans and five layer carrot cake for dessert. He had the short rib with whipped potatoes and carrots and the peanut butter pie. The meats were perfectly done and the veggies were al dente and delightful. However, neither of us were impressed with the whipped potatoes, which were not thick and just kind of bland. Likewise with the extra side dish I got the crab & asparagus Oscar, which was missing the Bearnaise sauce (maybe that is not how it's made, but it has always had it when I get steak Oscar) and the lump crab meat had zero flavor. My husband tried it and agreed. I asked what kind of crab it was and was told blue crab. I have literally grown up eating Blue crab, we spent summers at our beach home in SC from my age of four years forward. I have never found it to be tasteless, whether catching myself (total in the thousands) or purchased (easily well over a hundred times, I pretty much order it t any restaurant that offers it!)
