Ocean Thai is probably my favorite Thai food restaurant because I order take-out and dine at this location often! My favorites are the Spicy Eggplant with Tofu, Green Curry, and the Red Curry. I always drink a Thai Iced Tea with Boba as well and almost always start out with the Fresh Rolls with Tofu. I honestly could never get sick of the food at Ocean Thai because the taste is authentic! Fresh Spring Rolls, Drunken Noodles, Panaang Curry...just awesome and affordable!

This used to be my favorite Thai place in North County. We would eat there all the time. Over the past couple months I have been less than impressed. I have one go-to meal, Pad See Ew with chicken. They made it the best of any local place I found. I ordered my trusty meal and took it home for take-out. It was so bland. I tasted no flavor in the entire meal. Both my husband and I couldn't finish it. I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Forgot about that experience and went again, same thing! I even asked the waitress if there had been a management change b/c it definitely did not taste anything like before. I sent my meal back, did not ask for a replacement. She did bring back a new dish. It was a little better but still not the full of flavor entree that I was used to. I'm sad. They lost us as customers and now I'm back on the hunt for good local Pad See Ew. read more

I went there this week after not having Thai food for a very long time. Atmosphere is nice, and the customer service (waitresses) was good. I was just REALLY grossed out/ disappointed to find a long hair not only in my curry, but also in my coconut milk soup. It wasn't just on top, it was in the food. We visited Ocean Thai on a Friday night. It wasn't very busy and we were seated promptly. Service was quick and the staff was attentive. My water was refilled and my boyfriends iced tea never emptied. I order the panang curry with chicken and bf ordered pad Thai. The food arrived to our table quickly. His pad Thai was as expected. My panang curry really lacked flavor. I ordered it a 7 out of 10 on the spicy scale, but still felt the need to add peppers. The restaurant is very clean and the service was great. I had seen the place years ago but never really wanted to go for Thai until I was talked into giving it a go. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. I tried the drunken noodles (pad kee mao) with beef and some pork ribs and I really liked the meal as I don't frequently try Thai. I must say they really go out on their own cultural dishes.
