This is the third location I have been to. I discovered it's sister restraunt in Northpark. I found out about all the specials and the burger of the month and I have not stopped going since. I think so far I like the Little Italy location the most but this one was fabulous! The decor was on point it's got a separate area for a bar. It's an open-air concept dining so you get a cool Ocean breeze. I'm making my way through the menu and have recently tried the meat pie and then this time I tried the burger of the month which actually was a buffalo chicken wrap. It's definitely worth it! I still have two more locations to go but this one is definitely on my rotation in the future. We visited on a Saturday around noon, and the first challenge was parking. Finding a spot in the area was surprisingly difficult, so give yourself extra time if you're coming during peak hours. The restaurant itself was clean, bright, and well maintained. We were seated near the bar area, which had a nice atmosphere. Food wise, there were definitely some highlights. The hummus was excellent. Fresh, creamy, flavorful, and easily one of the best things we ordered. The burger was also very good. High quality ingredients, cooked properly, and packed with flavor. The breakfast plate was mixed. The sausage and the rest of the plate were enjoyable, but the biscuit was extremely hard and difficult to eat. The cocktails were pleasant and enjoyable, though not particularly memorable. Unfortunately, the service lacked attention to detail throughout the meal. Our hummus arrived before any utensils or napkins were brought to the table. After joking with our server that we must have forgotten our silverware at home, they apologized and eventually brought everything over. The iced tea took multiple requests before it arrived. We had to ask three separate times, and once it finally came, there was no sweetener. We then had to ask again for sweetener before being able to enjoy the drink. None of these issues were major on their own, but together they created a service experience that felt disorganized and inattentive. Overall, the food was good enough that I can understand why people like this place, especially the hummus and burger. However, the service needs improvement, particularly when it comes to paying attention to basic details and responding to requests in a timely manner. I suspect the team here is still ironing out the kinks. Three of our party of four were very disappointed for several good reasons (mostly food prep related), but my own experience was very good. My King Salmon was cooked perfectly, as was the rice. My squash was over--too mushy. My wife's spicy fried chicken sandwich had way too much gristle and the shoestring fries were strangely seasoned (off sweet). The other couple we were with shared the sea bass and thought the portion was too meager (maybe a self inflicted error). The space is delightful and our server was solid. Delicious food with good portion sizes. I give them 4 stars instead of 5 for only 3 reasons: 1. Not alcohlic drink prices are REALLY high. 2. They only have a 2 small bar tables indoors and all the rest of the seating is outside and it would not be a great place if it is cold, or raining. 3. The server insisted that the sauce on the tacos was not spicy and it was actually "hella spicy" - like make your eyes water spicy. Otherwise, The menu was interesting. They have fantastic happy hour food special prices. The server was very friendly. And the food we had was great. We ordered off the happy hour menu and the portion sizes were good. We had the beet salad which had this amazing dressing. They told us it was the Plum vinegar they use. Sooo tasty. We also had the Poke tacos. If you don't like super spicy get them without the sauce. So bummed. I have been going to Queenstown downtown since they opened. My coworkers have probably been there over 100 times. When they opened up in UTC I tried, they tried, it was mall food with mall quality service. And then they open up in my backyard of Del Mar. I love the way they outfit an awkward footprint and they found a way to get the sheep involved. We went for happy hour ready to eat and drink. Sadly it was not to be. Their version of a spicy margarita was fine but a little too sweet for my liking. The sausage bites came out piping hot but after eating a few bites we noticed a couple of hairs. The poke tacos (2 for $10) were ok. Not alot of tuna but that was fine. Our food stayed half eaten, plates and drinks empty for at least 15 minutes. We were not in a rush so it started out chill. And then it grew to frustration as staff walked by like were invisible. When we finally flagged someone and asked them for service and told them about the hair they ignored it. Oh well. I tried Queenstown last night. We do a weekly motorcycle ride to dinner. There were 4 of us last night. I had the Smash Burger and a Cesar salad. All the food and drinks were fantastic, as was our server. I will definitely go back. The only downside was at this time of year, at dinner time the sun was baking our table. We asked to have the shade lowered and they told us they couldn't do that but offered sunglasses. Eric went through several napkins mopping sweat his bald head... but then the sunset. As a local, I'm so happy that Queenstown has moved into this location! On the corner of Camino Del Mar and 15th just up from Powerhouse park, this spot has been home to a few other businesses and this is the one I would like to stay. Gorgeous on the inside, filled with plants and large windows that open up to the outside so you can still get that patio feel if you're on the side close to the windows. Their bar and kitchen is across the walkway which is unusual but I love the equally appealing but different vibe of the darker and more tucked away bar. For happy hour I have had their burger, fries and bubbly special and it is sO good. The fries are shaped like chips but textured like fries with both a ketchup and a brown sauce on the side for dipping. The burger is perfect and the prosecco added on is a wonderful bonus. I'll absolutely be getting this combo on repeat to kick off happy hour or before moving on to Monarch to continue the evening. read more

Very much enjoyed and would get again The not-so-great: We also got the Lamb Hash, which I couldn't eat. First off, it was flavorless. Second, it was an unappealing presentation. Thirdly, it was served in a ramekin and half of it was filled with water. Not broth or juice, but seriously so watery, it was very off-putting. Also isn't hash suppose to have some sort of potato? It was strange and I did not eat it. The waitress was kind enough to bring us a cheesecake slice as we were celebrating my birthday. Took one bite and couldn't have another--it was bad. All my friends thought so. Tasted very strange. While I'm grateful for the gesture, I would definitely not order it in the future.
