Chilean Sea Bass 9.6/10

Amazing! My mom was visiting town and wanted seafood. I've driven by Oceans many times over the years, but nobody I know has ever been there. As we walked in the ambience was nice, but they were only serving in the front area of the restaurant which was pretty small. My mom wanted to leave, but I said let's just give it a shot. The food was absolutely amazing! The service was great and we ended up having a wonderful dinner! We were both so happy that we decided to stay. Looking forward to my next visit at Oceans!

Sometimes you venture into a restaurant only to find out that you are in Heaven! This is that place. From the moment your eyes feast on the gorgeous place, your nose will capture the smell of garlic, olive oil and fresh fish cooking. The service is first class after 29 years in business. Nothing is left to chance and they treated me to a birthday dessert that was excellent. We look forward to coming back many times! Thank you again for a priceless evening. Cheers,

Prices online do not reflect the actual prices brought it up to the owner and held no accountability. Luckilyi wasn't worried about that but was inquiring why three $13 appetizers came out to 76. It's because they were 18 and they reflected on a different menu that is not shown online. Great food just horrible website for non locals to go off by. Zero tip

Sand dabs piccata over pasta checca

Okay I never leave a review unless it's phenomenal or it's terrible and sad to say it's the latter. Came in for lunch and sat by myself outside. Service was ridiculously slow. Wasn't even busy. 5 tables max and you could tell they were at different stages of eating meaning either finishing up, eating, or waiting for food so it's not like the server was slammed. After 10 minutes sitting alone I get a menu and ask for water. After another 10 I finally get my water and place my order. Ordered sand dabs piccata with pasta checca. Food arrived fairly quick( concerning because everything else took forever so I wonder if they just heat it up or it's pre made). The fish had no piccata sauce and the waiter did not ever pass by again to check on me. Wish he did because I wanted to ask for some actual piccata sauce. Food was okay, 6/10. Nothing special but wasn't nasty either. Wait another 10 minutes to pay once I ask for check and mind you server never asked how the food was. After I pay I go inside and ask a couple of questions since it was my first time here. Then the server had the gall to ask for a tip I work at a restaurant myself and I've NEVER asked anyone for a tip because it's not mandatory I understand that. This guy doesn't lol. He wanted a tip after providing TERRIBLE service what a guy. I even told him I've never heard a server asking for a tip and he said "Well I do" and walked away haha. Couldn't get the waiters name but he has dark hair and a autopean accent if that helps. So if you like so so food, terrible service, and the waiter asking you for a tip this is the place for you!!! :)

Shrimp scampi over capellini

We ended up here by accident because the road closures made it difficult to get to another seafood place in downtown PS. So we decided to try out Oceans for our frigate night Lenten meal. It was packed but they found us a table. The bread and the garlic oil dip was enough to put us into heaven. The perfect combo of a light olive oil, spices and garlic made it perfect. They had a wonderful array of seafood. I had the bouillabaisse and my partner had shrimp scampi over capellini. Everything cooked perfectly with great flavor. Sumptuous soup base. Drinks were great. Room is sexy, definitely a date night place. Service was off the hook. Great attention like they actually care about your experience !!! It was pricey, but worth. Who would expect to find fine dining in a shopping center??????!!!!

Bar in the dining room

This gem has been here for 30 years and I'm just discovering it now!! The front dining room with a small bar and an enormous aquarium is a cross in decor between modern and 1970's mariner kitsch with rose pink tablecloths and napkins. We took our own seat and were given menus and fresh hot crusty bread with a side of herbed olive oil to dip in. They have a hand written menu on a white board with all of the specials of the day plus their standard menu. I had fried oysters to start with which we shared. My mom ordered grilled octopus with linguine which was phenomenal. I had the seafood Caesar which was ribs of Romaine with the clams and mussels in the shells around the center which had a very large prawn and scallop, and house made dressing with fresh garlic. I dove into before I could take a picture ‍ We finished by splitting a tiramisu which was by far the best I have ever had and I've eaten a lot of tiramisu! Everything was cooked to perfection and obviously made with fresh ingredients. Can't wait to come back!!

Grilled Octopus with salad (real good bread too).

Great service, food above average. Barramundi was excellent, lemon tart desert over-rated. Overall a nice experience

Always on the hunting for taco Tuesday. It's hard for some reasons as there's not many places that…read morepromote taco Tuesday. I've seen places that supposedly offered it but I get there, it's a whole different concept of it. Well, I may have found one that's worth it. Plus a lot of places do close early on Tuesday's and Wednesday. Also not open those days as they tend to be more mellows. Anyway, we found this place last minute. It's part of a strip mall with a few other Mexican restaurants surrounding it. Once inside, there's a bar to the left right by the door when you walk in. Restaurant is to the right where the main seating area is. There's also a back area but it was utilize for a private party that night. At first we were kind of iffy as there was barely anyone there but since we were here already it was a go. The waitress was quite friendly and very sweet. Throughout the while dining experience, they constantly checked up on us to see how the food was and if we needed anything else. Made sure we were taken cared of and enjoyed our experience. Then comes the menu, quite a lot of dishes that you would typically get at a Mexican restaurant and some that seem to be new. The birria ramen which lately have been seeing at loads of Mexican restaurant. Of course as it was Tuesday, we came for the tacos. Before you walked in, there's a board that says tacos Tuesday, 4 tacos for 10.00. Thats a deal that's worth it. Either chicken, al pastor, chorizo and buche. Of course that was needed. We wasn't quite sure what buche was so opted out from that. Started off with a cold beer as they have draft and price was quite nice. 2 order of the tacos, one with 2 chicken and 2 al pastor while the other was 2 al pastor, 1 chorizo and 1 chicken. When the dish came out, it was well plated. You usually see just the tacos alone but it was plated with slices of cucumber, radish, grilled onions and grilled chili peppers. Quite nice. And of course I had to try their birra ramen. Seems lately that Mexicans restaurant are incorporating that dish to their menu. I'm also on the hunt for the best...lol... This dish too was quite tasty. Pretty decent bowl full of broth and loads of meat. Served with a side of onions and cilantro and lime slices. The color was nice. Had a dish a while back where the color of the broth was pretty light and watery. This place was nice. The tacos were very tasty both the chicken and al pastor which also had slices of pineapple added. Chicken was flavorful and chorizo was goods. Onions and cilantro also added but asked beforehand if we wanted them. Beforehand, three different salsa was brought out, spicy medium and mild. Wow, both the spicy (red) and medium (green) were delicious. The right amount of spicy and perfect for the tacos. Food was delicious both the ramen and tacos. It's with the 10.00 for the four tacos and birria ramen was tasty and delicious. Worth it. Glad that we found this place. And the staff, all very sweet and very friendly. Attentive and made sure that we were well taken care of. Didn't have room for dessert but will definitely be back. We got seated at one of the booth which literally looked a lot to the men's restroom. It was fine but not a thing you want to see while eating.

That's seriously still the best Torta ever -- light bread, cheesy, grilled onions and delicious carne asada. Arriero had so much meat! And they have Diet Coke. The service was great and friendly, and willing to seat us even an hour before closing their lunch hours and giving us lots of time and patience and never let our waters get low either! Their coffee is french press, and they offer fresh pressed juices too. They brought the french press pot to the table so you could press and refill your own cup as needed. We got grapefruit & watermelon, and both were refreshing and cooling. We ordered the avocado toast, the breakfast croissant, the breakfast sandwich, and the salmon crepe. Everyone really enjoyed their food. I found the salmon crepe to be really delicious, served with a jammy egg, a generously sized portion of salmon on a bed of spinach with some creme fraiche all wrapped in a delicious crepe wrap. I've never had anything quite like it. Also major compliments to the simple but refreshing side salad that came with each of our breakfasts, but we were also given the option of potatoes or mixed berries. Would recommend highly to anyone in the area looking for a good spot to have brunch.

Which they normally alway have one. And it was Father's Day so we expected it to be quite busy. There was one person in-front of me when checking in with the hostess. It was going to be about half an hour for a table under first available. They take your number and text you when your table is ready with a 10 min grace period to get back. It did table about half hour till we received the text. This visit, we got seated inside which was a first for us. Majority of the restaurant is outside with covered umbrellas and small sections in the inside area with different rooms. Our waitress was quite sweet but didn't remember her name. Menu is pretty much same as I remember from last time. Of course the Bloody Mary is always a must here. Started off with that. Food wise, the andouille sausage omelette served with potatoes or a salad and avocado. That also comes with a side of baguette. And the baked brie platter which is a shared starter. But works also a meal if needed. A nice hefty portion of baked Brie with hazelnuts, both ciabatta bread and Asian pear as well as date jam. And a side order of bagel and cream cheese. Food was good. We've only been for brunch and each visit was great. Dinner is a prix fix menu which we have never been. Service was great and the staffs were all very friendly. Water was constantly filled when it was emptied. Until next time.

We came during happy hour and our server, Delaney, was running the show when we arrived. She was helpful, attentive, friendly and provided excellent service. We ordered an Avocado Flatbread, Candied Walnut and Pear Flatbread, Ahi Sashimi and the Mezcal-Rita. Everything was so good. My guest loved the Avocado Flatbread and I enjoyed the Pear Flatbread. I didn't care for the soft pears on it (a crunchy pear hits) but I would order it again without the pears. The Ahi Sashimi was fresh, beautiful presented and a 12/10. I could easily gone for another plate of this. I asked for the sauces on the side, put my own amount and it was perfect! Mezcal-Rita tasted great and was an excellent size. Barrel District has an amazing Happy Hour and extensive regular menu, including many vegan and vegetarian options, which is rare! Usually you have 1-2 options to choose from and there is something for everyone. Visiting the Coachella Valley for decades has now turned into me moving there in a few short weeks. Barrel District is high on my list to frequent and bring visiting family and friends. See you soon!
