My new favorite restaurant. From start to finish a wonderful experience. We were there early enough for happy hour appetizers, which were generous and delicious.(Meatballs, Stuffed mushrooms) The 4 of us are generally not easily impressed. We had the Cajun Halibut,Filet, and Marsala and everyone was thrilled with their dishes. Again, generous portions, cooked and seasoned perfectly . One of the best meals I have had in ages, and I just returned from Italy. Not a low priced place, but for what they give you,100% worth it. I had high hopes for this place after reviewing the menu. It wasn't bad, but missed my expectations by a fair amount. I was warned it was loud, and that is very true. Even we sat in the "outside" area but it was still quite loud. Service was slow. Not slow enough to complain to the host, but very slow. Our server was very nice, but just on the very bleeding edge of attentiveness. It certainly wasn't all her - the bar was slow, the food was slow. Fresh bread was provided while we waited, and it was quite good. The cocktail menu was wonderful. Execution was lacking. My first try was the Mrs. Foxy's Lemon Drop. I swear it was a mocktail. I couldn't detect by odor, taste or experience any alcohol at all. My dining partners had other choices and seemed satisfied. I moved on to something less capable of dilution - a Perfect Manhattan. Certainly it is nice to have a cocktail menu with all 3 Manhattan variations on it. The preparation was fine, but just on the small side (maybe 3 oz total). After that I moved on to a glass of wine. For dinner, I ordered the Pork Chop. It smelled wonderful and was cooked *exactly* to order. The balsamic glaze and mustard though just didn't come through on the palate. It lacked salt, and none was on the table. Dining companions ordered Scallops and seemed satisfied, though nobody was ooh-ing and ah-ing. To my surprise, my dining companions expressed an interest in desert. The cheesecake was very sweet and not as cheesy as I would prefer. Definitely didn't seem in-house. I had a decaf which was very clearly instant. At some places all this would be fine, but the pricing and the atmosphere just didn't live up to the expectations. We loved Foxy's! We were in town for the first time (celebrating my birthday) and they made it a great and memorable experience. We love a good steakhouse and speakeasy and this place paired the two perfectly. The ambiance is great, the vibe is comfortable and service is wonderful. At every step along the way I felt celebrated. From being welcomed at the host stand, to a birthday card being on our table, our server wished me a happy birthday and I got a birthday dessert as well. We enjoyed martinis, steak and salad. We had dinner at Foxy's on a Thursday evening, The ambiance is eclectic, cool, and fun. A great desert evening vibe. During the season, it's tough to get a prime reservation hour for dinner. So, reserve your table in advance. The staff here is super friendly and accommodating, even when the restaurant is full. In the front dining room, there is entertainment. Unfortunately, our table was away from front room and along the outer area. I ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. The sauce is creamy with sun dried tomatoes. I'm giving a 3 star based on the satisfaction level of my husband and friend's meals. I wanted to eat lighter and ordered soup and salad. I dare you to guess from the photo what type of salad it was. The onion soup was bland and lacked the deep simmered flavor expected. The bread used in the soup fought the soup; my guess is a very sour, sour dough. After digging into the pile of greens, I found some tiny chopped red beets, avocado and blue cheese, but gave up on it's lack of flavor and content. This was the most amazing restaurant in Palm Springs yet ! From beginning to end. First off... my husband set a dinner reservation for a Saturday evening at 7pm. But after a day drinking in the pool with friends we ran late. The restaurant called my husband to ask how we were doing and if we would like them to hold our dinner reservation for a little later. That was awesome! So made it to dinner by 7:50. The host greeted with a big smile and so happy we made it. We were greeted by several hosts bring water , bread and butter, drinks, and menus. Everyone was so happy it was impressive. Amelia was the best of all. She was our waitress. She explained a little family history and the restaurant history. Her parents ate the owners and her family all work there. We loved that ! Ok so the food was a 10 out of 10! Actually even better! We started with the Mediterranean Salad w vinaigrette dressing. It was huge! Large enough for the two of us. Delicious! We cleaned the plate! We ordered the rib eye dinner with a side of shrimp scampi. We were in heaven. The rib eye was perfectly cooked. Tender juicy. Delicious. The shrimp was the best I have ever had. Huge jumbo prawns with a buttery lemon sauce. At the end of dinner we were surprised with a special desert on the house. Eventually, a female bartender placed a glass of water in front of me, prompting me to inquire about a menu and a glass of wine. While the establishment was indeed busy, it did not seem too hectic for a staff of two to handle, especially given the size of the bar. After placing my order, I had to remind the staff twice about the bread, never receiving a bread and butter plate for my appetizer. As time passed, I had to inquire about the status of my entree. If you're sensitive to noise, have anxiety, or are prone to sensory overload, I would strongly recommend avoiding the table underneath the dome near the olive tree. We experienced a very unusual acoustic effect that sounded like muffled voices or conversations coming from right beside us, even though no one was there. It was incredibly unsettling and very triggering. We switched seats, and three out of four of us heard the same strange sounds in that location. All three of us also left with pain in our left ears when we left the restaurant. When we mentioned it to the staff, they said other guests had commented on the echo in those seats before. Aside from this, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. I hope the restaurant investigates the acoustics in that area, as it could have a real impact on guests who are sensitive to sound and can cause a lot of unnecessary anxiety. I'm beyond grateful I discovered this place, it is hands down one of the top two or three restaurants in the entire valley, no question. The chicken piccata was out-of-this-world amazing, and the clam chowder? Honestly life-changing. Every bite was perfection. The service was outstanding from start to finish, and the owner personally came by to introduce himself--such a warm, genuine person, which made an already incredible night even better. I am giving foxy's kitchen and overall rating of five stars because the service and the ambience are outstanding. From the moment we arrived the valet gentlemen was so nice and our server, Janice was so sweet and efficient. We loved the beautiful atmosphere. It was so nice of them to let us know that they have happy hour from 4 to 6 in the Dining Room in the summer up until September. We thought that we were just coming to dinner at 5 o'clock but then we got to order our drinks for $11 and an appetizer of fried zucchini for $10 that was excellent. They also served sourdough bread which was probably the best I have had in a long time along with the real butter which is hard to find nowadays. So it's good to know that summer is a real plus price wise if you order drinks and a starter before 6 o'clock. Mom loved her chicken and pasta dish. My husband and I ordered the Pescatori which we only thought was OK. I think that dish could use a little more work on their part. We are definitely coming back and we will try a different entrée next time we loved the flowerless chocolate cake, however, the coconut cream pie did not have much flavor. FYI read more

You know what they say about 3rd time is a charm, we'll it was. Ours was the celebration of a birthday. From valet to closing, 3 hours of pure enjoyment. Raining on the outside of the restaurant and all sunshine inside. What evening out does not start with the first stop at the bar where Toni and Dave are knocking out drink orders left and right. All seats are taken spare two where a lady moved over one chair so my birthday lady and I could join the most ebullient of partakers. A Vesper Martini for me and an Oaxacan Old Fashion for my wife. Closing out our bar bill we were notified our table was ready and Danny, a host like no other, took us to the table and ensure we were set up with water and a waiter. Foxy's have a very lively crowd of diners so taking in the the evening diners was its own sort of entertainment. Lots of people that aura of success and confidence that allows them the swag of being dressed to the Rizz or stylishly simple. However, whether young or old the atmosphere is alive and somewhat festive. Micheal, our waiter, burst on our scene and alerted us that water and menus would be coming and not within a few minutes later Daniel appeared asking us what kind of water we would like while Michael went to order our drinks. It so happened that this same evening our grandson was playing in a semi finals high school football game and we were able to stream it. Seems sort of out of context to go to a top notch restaurant and while celebrating a birthday to also stream a high school football game but being grandparents has its benefits and not holding on to formalities is one of them. Micheal came back and my wife ordered the 8 Oz Filet Mignon with Peppercorn Sauce and I had the Pescatore. No pictures of the entrees but I can guarantee they were served hot and full of flavor. The Filet was so tender it could have been cut with a normal knife, the pasta and seafood were like they were made for each other. The shrimp light and crispy and the calamari breaded and tender highlighted the sauteed salmon and scallops on a bed of linguine. Although we shared a wedge salad it was like an opening band playing before the headliner comes on stage. They may be good but you know what you came for and they did not disappoint. Micheal brought the gratuitous birthday one candle deep dark chocolate cake with whip cream and a stem if mint which was a fitting encore to an three hour tour de force. Yet we missed Tim's table visit and the Las Vegas Raiders woes of football conversation. However, we will be back for more of Foxy's food, fellowship, and fun. PS: The grandson's team won. read more

I wanted to love this place but I was underwhelmed. The service was ok. I was seated at the bar and there was very inconsistent service across the different customers at the bar. For example, some had bread, I was not offered that. It took a minute to put in a drink & food order. Given the time it took to get one order in I didn't bother ordering another round of drinks. I had the stuffed mushrooms, potstickers, and chicken Marsala as entree. The stuffed mushrooms were limited in flavor without the sauce which I wish I was warned was sweet before ordering them. It did not pair well with the savory mushrooms but the bartender said they were popular so perhaps this is a preference issue. The potstickers were ok. The sauce that they were in would have been nicer on the side for dipping. The potstickers themselves lacked any flavor without the ginger sauce. And the pork meet was very firm although it was ground pork. The chicken Marsala was the biggest disappointment because the mushroom sauce was also overly sweetened. I don't know if sweet dessert Marsala wine was used for it or sugar added but it took so much away from the natural flavors. The chicken itself was cooked well. I could not eat it and brought it home in hopes that someone would like some. The ambience was ok. It's a much older crowd for the most part. Visited Focy for the first time this weekend. We were visiting ifrom out of town and this was actually a ChatGPT recommendation. From the minute you walked in we felt welcome. There is a cozy elegance to this place that makes you feel at home. Our server was Lorraine and she was so genuinely nice. Explained the menu as well as happy hour. She gave us some great recommendations. I had the chicken piccata, my husband had the fillet and scampi, and my daughter had the Bolognese. All three dishes were delicious, we had the meatball appetizer which tasted like they had been simmering all night, so much flavor in the sauce and very good quality meat. No pictures because we were hungry. We were pretty full, but decided to try the lemon bar dessert. Great presentation, cut into mini squares and placed in a martini glass with fruit and whipped cream. It was perfect for sharing and was delicious. I would love to be able to visit again when I'm in the area. Great place, if you are local and haven't tried it you are missing out!! read more

We were in Rancho Mirage for an event that we were attending Saturday night Prior to driving out for the weekend, we had looked at a couple of different locations to have dinner Saturday night My wife came across Foxy's and said we should try it since it had great reviews on Yelp. And the restaurant did not disappoint! The ambience is incredible (we sat inside in a corner booth with an open shot of the entire restaurant ) We started off with cocktails. I had an old-fashion and my wife had a wine that was suggested by our server, Amelia. Amelia was absolutely fantastic! I had the 12oz ribeye and added a lobster tail, my wife had the salmon with lemon sauce (pictures below). Everything was made perfect! We had the carrot cake as a dessert and it was absolutely incredible! When we mentioned how good it was to Amelia, she told us that it's homemade by her mother who also happens to be the owner of Foxy's. I think this restaurant is pretty cool. It has a very cozy and intimate seating with nice lighting. The ambience is everything that you want for a date night, classy, but not too stuffy. Overall, I would rate the food, a strong, four out of five. It really was the amazing service that pushed me to rate Foxy's a five star instead of a four. My husband remarked several times that everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there and I agree. The calamari was nicely seasoned and so soft. I love the garlic aïoli dip with it. My osso bucco was great. My husband and I did not really care too much for the pork chop that he had. The lobster mac & cheese was interesting. The cheese sauce was prepared perfectly maybe a bit too much garlic even for this garlic lover, but with every bite, I found myself asking where is the lobster?
