Do not order a shake! We ordered 3 chocolate malts and basically got 3 chocolate milks. These are the thinnest shakes ever. And we had to pay $2 extra dollars a piece for malt that you can't even taste. Beyond disappointing for way over priced "shakes". Oh, and no whipped cream either. read more

Scoop score- booo Solo worker but quick to serve (maybe why the scoops don't stick ) The giant ice cream cone on the side of the building won't steer you wrong, but don't be naive, it's still an old beachside shack surrounded by smelly trash cans and homeless people who have absolutely peed and slept (or may still be sleeping) in the parking lot behind it. The little place seems to have everything you need, though there was no chance in hell we were going to order food there. They advertise hot dogs and other stuff in addition to the ice cream and shake options. We just kept it simple. We all got ice cream in waffle cones! They had fabulous flavor choices and all the cone options. The big bummer for us was that the lady, albeit SWEET AS COULD BE, didn't do a great scoop job. It was a mess and the top scoop slid right off onto the sidewalk. I wasn't sad, really, because my son didn't need that much ice cream, but he was pretty upset about it. haha! We didn't return there for ice cream during our trip, but I wanted to be sure and mention that the seating here was PERFECTION for my early morning walk I took the following day from our Airbnb. Ok so they're basically selling Thrifty ice cream for 4x the price as right aid... but honestly sometimes that just hits the spot. The best thing about this place is the location... grab a scoop and head straight onto the beach. Can't really complain with that. I ate here for the first time a few days ago. This is a cool little spot right directly in front of the beach. The prices are slightly higher than I expected but the food is really good. The workers are friendly and prepared the food and drinks really fast. It's kind of the perfect location to have a little snack shack like this. There are a couple of benches in the front where you can sit and face the beach which is convenient. If you want to take a break from walking and get a bite to eat this is the place to go. read more

While walking the boardwalk here about 2 weeks ago, the family decided we needed a break and a snack. Most of the places were either closed or had no outdoor seating available, so we stopped here. I've seen reviews about the overpriced ice cream (it's beach real estate next to tiny overpriced apartments, you can't expect cheap), and "microwaved" food. I can't speak to either of those since it was too cold for ice cream and we only tried the pizza. When I placed the order for the pizza, the woman working there told me "it will take about 20 minutes because I have to make it by hand" After walking around a bit more, we made our way back and the pizza was ready in just under 20 minutes. I'm not sure what I expected, but this was surprisingly delicious. The crust was perfection if you like thin crust with a little char that's both chewy and crispy (and frankly, who doesn't?). We got the 12 inch and the price was very reasonable. My only regret is that we didn't order 2 pizzas. Service was quick and friendly, and you cannot beat the location for people watching with the ocean literally right in front of you. When the weather is warmer, I will be back for ice cream too. read more
