Dinner with another couple and it was underwhelming. Adding $40 for valet when the dinner bill is $450 is a bit unseemly. The food was ok but not remarkable. Service was slow. Sat us near the entrance of a room hosting a wedding, the stream of people in and out was never ending and the door hitting my wifes chair multiple times was problematic. For the money there are much better alternatives in the area. If you want to charge Manhattan prices, you better deliver. read more

Beautiful view of the river and nice ambiance. Exorbitant amount of money spent on mediocre at best food. The atmosphere gives the illusion that the food will match up but unfortunately fell completely flat. I'd recommend doing happy hour at the bar but finding another spot for dinner. read more

After reading many reviews we were skeptical but tried odettes for lunch. We were actually very pleased with both the service abs the food. The staff was extremely professional (guiding you to the rest rooms, not just pointing in an approximate direction for example). The environment is beautiful and most importantly during these times, clean. We had the mezze platter to start, which was ok. We had sandwiches for lunch which were quite good and couldn't really find a fault with. Compared to many other places in new hope to grab lunch, I'm not exactly certain what many of the previous reviews experienced here, but I think Odettes is by far better than most. Perhaps they bumped up their game considerably since the original opening, but this place is solid. read more

When I walked in , we went to bar, the drinks & bartenders we're great. So were very excited for there food . Set down waitress came right away placed orders for appetizers. Muscles and the calamari very disappointing. My wife ordered fillet came out ice cold . My sister-in-law ordered chicken Parmesan she said was an edible and returned it . My brother ordered the salmon and liked it and I ordered the hamburger and loved it. they ran out of spinach for side dish and I ordered mushrooms that never came. If that's their permanent chef and not a replacement for the night they will never make it . To add insult to injury I had to pay 20 bucks for my car . read more

We made a reservation for lunch and arrived a few minutes early, as it was our first time to the restaurant. The valet asked which restaurant we were there for, and then gave us directions to the elevator, etc. he told us to give our parking ticket to the person at the desk when we were done. When the hostess took our information, she seemed to not really care that we had a reservation and gave us a high top table in the bar area, facing the road. That seating selection was wrong in so many levels-- no one else was seated in such a fashion, and the fact that we are Sr. citizens, you would have thought she would have asked, if we were amenable to that type of table! Which we were not. She then offered us a table inside the restaurant, which we had also made them aware when we made the reservation, that we wanted to sit outdoors, and that she confirmed when we originally met her. Again, we said no. And finally she did us a favor and opened another section for us! Then, when got to the table there was a card on the table, telling us to pull the menu up on our phones. I was able to get it up, and with assistance, so did my friend. However, she then told us she had regular menus. Why didn't she ask us prior , if we wanted a paper menu? No, instead she thought it was a good idea to have us read menus in our phones in a tiny font. Or maybe they were trying to save their fancy menus for other guests they deemed more worthy. I ordered the lobster roll, which was disappointing--the lobster was fine, but they didn't butter the roll and then toast it, which made it sort of tasteless. It came with a side order and I chose mixed greens-- the plate was hot enough that the person who delivered our food , warned us that the plate was hot. Why would you serve a cold meal on a scalding hot plate? And then, while I was eating, I thought there was a shell that had inadvertently been left in. When I pulled it out of my mouth, it was actually a piece of hard plastic! I didn't make a fuss, but did make them aware of it and they did the right thing and took that dish off the bill. However, when we went to leave, we took our parking ticket to the desk, at which time we were told that the parking was $20. Now there are plenty of parking lots that charge that in New Hope, but you know what the fee is from the get go! We went down to get the car and because there was another car, checking into the hotel, it took an inordinately long time to get the car and then for the other car to actually move, before we could leave. I've gotten out of parking lots in Center City Philadelphia, more quickly than at this place. Needless to say, I don't think I'll be eager to return until there is new management and a new chef, as I wasn't particularly impressed with the menu either. Had a great experience at Odette's. The location on the river and canal is very special. The ambience of the entire property is casually elegant. We arrived at the restaurant and were greeted by valet. Yes, you will pay $20 for parking which is the same price you will pay on the weekend at the municipal lot in town which doesn't have a valet. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and does a great job of bringing the beauty of the river views inside. We had cocktails before dinner which were excellent. The service throughout our stay was perfect. We never felt rushed. We had a salad course which was very good. Nice and fresh as would be expected considering the local farms. Entrees were very good. They included salmon and meatloaf. We also had the cornbread which was great. Desert included bread pudding and beignets, both delicious. Since we were celebrating our anniversary we were comped some Prosecco and cholocate truffles. Our waitress Mariam did a great job. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable. She even took our pictures outside after not being satisfied with the lighting inside and the resulting dark pictures. We took some time after dinner to stroll around on the back deck which has a full bar and gorgeous fireplace. Thank you to all of the staff especially Mariam who made our dinner very special. Our party of 3 spent $150+ on lunch last week, only to get food poisoning from their foul mussels. My friend and I were ill for over 48 hours, and management does not appear to care (contacted them the next morning to alert them, hoping no one else would get sick.) Mussels arrived to the table with hot shells, but when bitten into, were cold. We then noticed an obvious bad odor - how do you let that dish leave your kitchen, with 3 total tables in the entire place? Not surprising that we were made sick - this is such a basic food-handling fail. $18 burger ordered medium arrived like a hockey puck. View was nice, though, so it's a shame the kitchen & management is incompetent. read more

Atmosphere, service were wonderful. Good was very pricey and although good, the price was way above what it was worth. Looking forward to Escargot appetizer with pine nuts and cashew butter. Couldn't taste anything but the butter it was swimming in. $39 for sea bass that we were not sure was sea bass- average. Scallops supposed to be Thai flavored but just basic scallops. Highlights were brussel sprouts - outstanding!! Pineapple dessert was very good. Chocolate cake with ganache was basic cake with good ganache. Drinks were good. The kicker was the $20 required valet parking. Not going back soon. read more

Odettes restaurant inside is very beautiful & cozy, the food in odettes is like dragging your nuts on the floor. Horrible! Wish i can get my $$$ back! Rediculously priced and no flavor what so ever! The french onion soup is thick like gravy and bland. We got the filet mignon ans it was absolutely terrible... flavorless! For 59 dollars a pop we were very unhappy left sad and went to the salt room after and had the best mac and cheese! Terrible let down odettes!! Draging nuts!! read more

My wife and I tried this restaurant after hearing about it for years. It's a beautiful setting, but they're missing out on the details that make a great restaurant. First of all, the mandatory $20 parking is a turn off. Then, the food: the prices are high (expected), but the chicken parm I ordered was dry and almost burned, and linguini sauce was pretty tasteless. My wife wasn't too happy with hers, either. We were glad to see a piano-singer duo in the corner, but the sound was really bad, you couldn't hear the singer at all and she was walking around the room just so people could hear her a little. I asked her if they use a house system, and she said yes. I took a look at the "gear" and it was just about the cheapest thing they could buy, and it wasn't working well at all. It's a shame, because if you're going to the trouble and expense for live entertainment, shouldn't you try to make sure they can be heard? On the plus side, the bartender was attentive and personable, and our waiter was the same. The service really was good. Overall though, a little disappointing, and a shame because it could be great. read more

We looked forward to celebrating a special Wedding Anniversary with our family for brunch. The restaurant is very nice with comfortable seating. We knew beforehand it was a little pricey, but expected the quality of the food and service to reflect the price...it didn't. We were very disappointed. We were pleasantly welcomed and seated at a large comfortable table. Three of us ordered Eggs Benedict, three ordered French Toast, and one ordered a hamburger. The bread under the eggs was so tough we couldn't even cut it with a knife..it was inedible. The French toast dish contained two pieces of white bread cut diagonally..tasty but insufficient. The hamburger was tasty and enjoyable. There were few extra offerings....no juices or breads, but lots of pricey alcoholic offerings. We had to ask for salt and pepper which came in cheap plastic containers that were clogged. The service was unremarkable. Valet service with no other option is $5 before 3PM and $20 after 3PM. Overall, a disappointing and pricey experience. We won't be returning. I gave it three stars for the ambiance and comfortable seating only. read more

I'm going up a star. Still the crazy prices, $20 to park when you drop $500 bones for dinner. Double sawbuck for a drink, pour was just OK, margarita was with real limes...and OK. Went in for dinner and drinks. Our guy Anthony was a consummate pro. We are NH locals and asked if we could get a glimpse of the coveted and private upstairs area. We saw Anthony confer with this effete manager dude and he came back to us and said "no". Eat me, dude, I've lived within a mile of this place since before you had a drivers license. A couple of us got the burger...some places you make your own burger...this is a place where you take the burger and what they put on it and trust them...this was seriously the best one of those burgers I've ever had. Simply amazing. Wedge salad was an amazing combo of bacon salty and sweet. We got the 3-way dip. Good portions of each of the 3 and also 3 small pieces of bread for 4 people. Bread was gone and most dips remained...no offer of more bread. BTW, the hummus is in dire need of salt, as is the "artichoke" dip which also needs some flavor of artichokes. Odettes Riverhouse is good quality food, excellent service, and distainful of their neighbors. I will be very interested in their future level of success with this business model read more
