Was it worth the 45 min wait? I mean, maybe...? But then maybe I should've ordered a traditional breakfast like pancakes and eggs instead of the breakfast BLT I ordered. The cinnamon roll kept popping up in all of the Yelp photos so of course I asked the waitress if this was a must-try item. She confirmed and we ordered two for the table. It was warm and oooey gooey and paired nicely with a cup of Joe. Definitely try this. The waitress could've been more approachable. She was pretty busy serving many tables, so I get it, but put a smile on that pretty face please. I wouldn't go out of my way for this spot, if I was in the area, like I was, I would give it another try. The breakfast BLT was something I probably could've made at home myself and it wasn't special or left a lasting impression. I had a bite of the pancakes and those were pretty good so definitely go with those or their chilaquiles (which were sold out when we were there) if this is your first time visit. read more

Beware of your to go order!! Recently order to go and didn't notice till i got home that they had added a service fee to my order. I am a server myself and don't mind the service fee cause I know people usually don't tip on to go but the host never mentioned anything about tip already being included. I actually tipped extra because I wasn't aware of the service charge already on it. Its a standard rule to notify guests of any gratuity fee already included so the fact that nothing was mentioned just seems unprofessional and sketchy. read more

Super cute brunch spot with amazing service. Our waiter Nate was friendly and helpful during our time and made our experience even better. My favorite thing on the menu was the sweet Potatoe fries with the garlic aioli, a must get! The eggs and more with the potatoes and subbing for a pancakes was great, I would recommend the regular pancakes over the chocolate chip since they are a bit too sweet for us. My only suggestion is to get the regular coffee instead of the cappuccino since the cappuccino does not taste freshly made. read more

The service was great and peach tea was amazing. The interior was also beautiful as well as the patio seating which is why I'm giving this a 3 star. The food on the otherhand was very bland... I have no idea why so many people went here but I guess it's mainly for the brunch vibes. The wait was about 1 hour. We ordered the wet breakfast burrito and breakfast burger but everything was very bland in terms of taste. Almost like there was no seasoning done. You have to try the peach tea though! We are visiting California and came to brunch here and it was a good time! The food was really good my favorites were the avocado toast with the sweet potato fries and the pancakes. I wasn't a big fan of the nitro coffee, but the regular coffee is really good. The staff was super nice, a BIG SHOUTOUT to Nate our server who was awesome. This is a busy place but fast service. All tables were taken and lots of noise but wasn't hard hearing and speaking to the people you're with. They also have an outside patio with heaters. Parking is easy and there are plenty of spots. It's kind of hidden in a business complex but not hard to miss. They make their jelly jams, biscuits, muffins, salsa etc in house and all are fabulous! Blackened chicken was yum and the carne asada was flavorful. The ribeye was ok, I already knew it wasn't a prime cut but I wanted to try it anyways. Not bad but the carne asada was better in my opinion. We had a lady server and I forgot her name but I had her the first time we came and she's awesome! Very tentative and checked on us which I appreciate. I want to come back and try the other items such as the breakfast burger, omelettes and waffles! Looking forward to coming back soon! read more

The wait time was not bad. You join via Yelp and they give you real time on your placement in line as well as texting you when a table is ready. The food taste was ok, tasted very salty. The seating was very cramped The service was pretty bad. Despite it being a Sunday, the employees seem to stand in a group on their phones. No one ever checked up on our table to see if we needed anything to drink. We had to go up and flag someone down for our check, and still were ignored. Would not recommend. Customer service sucks. The food is not great at all. You're better off going to a Dennys. read more

3.5 stars There was a 15-20 minute wait but they moved the line really fast. We started at the 17th spot and were seated within 30 minutes. The menu was really hard for me to navigate. I think for a place that is clearly rushing people through, they would make it easier to find things on the menu. I think one suggestion would be to group similar entrees together, and have more of a standard of what is included on the side of each dish. The menu was just overwhelming and the atmosphere was loud, so my neurodivergent brain struggled to make sense of it. The food was great! The eggs Benedict and cinnamon roll French toast had good portions and flavor was good. Our waitress was also very on top of keeping our waters full and making sure we had napkins. That being said- we also ordered a cappuccino and it tasted like hot water. A place that has Cafe in the name I just expect there to be passable coffee options. Cappuccino I thought would be hard to mess up, but it was not good. We tried a few sips and then left it because it didn't even taste like there was coffee present. The other issues were the bathroom- the women's restroom was out of service, and they had me use the men's restroom. But their only working bathroom had no toilet paper. And then there was no clear way to pay- eventually it seemed that each of the waitstaff had card readers (which is awesome, don't get me wrong), but we were not made aware of that and our waitress didn't say anything about it, despite having left our check at our table. We even left our card out on top of the receipt to signal we were ready to pay, and we asked another staff member if we needed to pay at the front. At a place that seems to prize keeping customers moving to free up tables, this seems like a key piece of information to share so that customers who are definitely done with their meal can be freed up to leave. Overall, it was fine. I just feel like there are a few balls that were dropped that would have made this spot a must repeat for me. read more

It's one of my favorite breakfast places in Seal Beach. You can't go wrong with anything you order. We try to come here as often as we can and love their crepes and all their baked goods. Pretty solid brunch place! If I'm craving classic American brunch food, this is the place I will be going to. They have a variety of brunch foods and it's reasonably priced. Came here on a Sunday for 2 people and were able to get seated quickly. It's located off street (lol) in a not so busy plaza with plenty of parking. read more

Wonderful small breakfast place. The staff is amazing and extremely attentive and friendly. My husband and I usually go after our workout and typically ask to sit on their beautiful patio. My favorite dish is the healthy cakes they're super good multigrain pancakes with walnuts, topped with bananas and whipped butter. They will also fry Serranos for you if you want some more spice in your dish. read more

I believe they don't do reservations. They would have a waiting list. I've gone on a Saturday around noonish and waited an hour to be seated. It gets very busy on weekends but I'd say it's worth the wait.

Both times I've been the local law enforcement was in having coffee, so you know the service isn't going to be horrible. And heads up for seniors, there's an early bird breakfast during the week for $10.95 for a basic breakfast. Right off the bat going to say a couple of the reviews weren't off...the coffee listed on the menu advertised refills, but truly, the mugs are small and there's not someone routinely walking around with a coffee pot like you might expect at a breakfast spot. And I too found a hair in my food...had not planned on mentioning this, but when another reviewer mentions it in less than a month's time, think it's time for management to review prep and food handling standards. On the positive side, I was able to get a coffee to go. And I wasn't going to complain about the hair (I found it halfway through finishing off my pancake), but I realized it was really stuck in there so needed to let them know they needed to likely toss that batch of batter. Having been restaurant management, I personally would have comped the ticket. But they did take off the pancake, in fairness, without my asking for a refund. But truly, it does pretty much end your meal (just took the rest of my omelette to go). The prices are steep, but I'm sure the overhead is not low...food costs are going up, staffing costs are up, and they have a large space with plenty of parking. All of that comes at a price. But the portions are good, and overall what I've had was tasty. I did give the place another shot after the pancake incident (truly, the pancake was a bit underwhelming, with an expansive menu I recommend trying something else). I tried the birria omelette and the carnitas omelette with the house potatoes. Taters were tasty, omelettes were fluffy and consistent. It was interesting how they plated. A basic cheese omelette with the meat layer on top. I also tried the loaded chili cheese fries. I ordered without onions as I'm not a raw onion fan. It comes topped with sour cream and some other sauce. I would recommend order both toppings on the side. There was so much sauciness that you could barely taste the chili, but it does fluff up the plate, so maybe there's a method to the madness there. Staff has been nice and polite, but I can see where some folks may have had a bad experience. You can tell there are some hard workers (both of my servers fell in this category), and there's a couple of slackers. But the manager on site should be floating so that they can keep an eye on the operation (front and back of house), and check in with diners. Just my two cents. Definitely worth a try if you've never been.

We went with the Silver Set, which honestly comes with everything you really need. It includes access to the Australian wagyu, unlimited meats and sides, plus a one-time seafood & sashimi platter and a specialty dish. Even though the seafood & sashimi platter is limited to one order, the portion is huge and more than enough for the table. For my specialty dish, I chose the bone marrow and WOW. It was so rich and decadent, and I loved that it came with crispy toast to balance out the tenderness. Ordering was super easy since each table gets an iPad to continuously order meats, vegetables, and side dishes throughout the meal. Between that and our very attentive server, everything arrived quickly and we never felt like we were waiting on anything. I also took full advantage of the self-service sauce bar, rice station, and ice cream bar. Mikiya is part of the Chubby Group, so you can earn and redeem points through their app if you're already dining at their other concepts.
