Came here on a Friday afternoon and the place was pretty busy with a good amount of customers. The interior is really nice and spacious. The wait wasn't too bad like 10 mins to order and 10 mins to get the twice matcha. The service was also really nice and they were really friendly; they even offered an extra twice matcha that hadn't been picked up which was super nice of them! We really enjoyed the matcha and it was honestly one of the best matcha from sac I've tried so far. The matcha was really creamy and smooth with great flavor. Oh yep. It is worth the hype and noise and is just so so delicious. I cannot stop thinking about this place. First time I've ever heard of matcha FOAM. Absolutely insane combo with an amazing yummy matcha latte. We ordered the Twice Matcha. I had it with oat milk, my cousin had it with whole milk. We got here at around 3:40pm and there was a bit of a line. We got pretty lucky with parking which I'm so grateful for but keep in mind the lot is pretty small and you may have to find street parking instead. There was a sign that instructed us to wait outside until we see the line inside moves forward and makes space for us to come in. After taking our orders we probably waited for about five minutes before my name got called. I think from the moment we arrived in line and waited to order to the moment my name was called to pick up my order, it all took around 20 minutes! They worked quickly and had the cups set out and prepared. I just really admired how organized it all looked and even though there was a lot of customers, they kept their calm and worked very efficiently. Visited during their Saturday pop-up at their new coffee shop and the line was out the door during the whole time I was there, I got my coffee for "here" and was there about an hour and a half. This speaks volumes about their coffee and their connection with the Sacramento community. Coffee ordered : -Saigon Cinnamon- from the first sip, I could taste the cinnamon and great coffee flavors. Although it has condensed milk, I couldn't taste the condensed milk a lot so it is not a super sweet coffee. I prefer my coffee less sweet, so I would totally order again. They also have The Pastry Cat pastries at their shop so I tried the chocolate croissant. The croissant was fluffy, and had a nice thick layer of chocolate in the middle. The interior is sleek and clean with wooden furniture and some plants. It seems that they are still adding some finishing touches to their decor and interior so I can't wait to be back and see the final look after their grand opening. read more

While driving down to Front Street animal shelter for a volunteer shift, I saw a line out the door for Offbeat Coffee. I had never heard of this coffee shop before so I bookmarked it and went about my day. Recently, the opportunity arose to come check it out. My husband and I came on a Sunday morning while we were out in the area walking our dogs. The line was not out the door this particular morning, which I appreciated, but they still had plenty of customers. I decided to try their Saigon latte with oat milk which came iced with cinnamon and condensed milk. My husband was a bit more adventurous than me and decided to try their strawberry banana homemade purée over espresso. We both agreed that the strawberry banana purée would be better served with their Matcha, but lesson learned. All in all, I found my latte to be perfectly sweet and delicious but my husband's drink was a bit of a miss. I think this place is mostly known for their Matcha so next time I will give that a try. read more

Made plans with some friends to check out the midtown farmers market but my friend suggested we stop here first for a matcha drink to sip on while we walk around the farmers market. She mentioned that their Twice Matcha drink is the best and cannot compare to other placed matcha drinks. I ordered the Twice Matcha from her suggestion and she was most definitely right. my friends and i were driving down from lake tahoe & was craving matcha so we decided to visit this cafe. since we came on a sunday afternoon, there was a line that formed out the door. although the line was long, it moved fairly quickly. my group waited around 15-20 minutes before ordering. we all ordered the twice matcha since we read so many good reviews about it. the taste and color of the matcha was excellent. the only complaint we had was how inconsistent each drink was. some of our friend's drinks were too milky and lacked the matcha flavor, while some of our other friends had a well balanced drink. at one point i did notice a barista eye balling/pouring a large quantity of milk into a cup. nonetheless, the twice matcha was still pretty good. it would be better if the consistency was solid. read more

Ive been here multiple times and I LOVE the twice matcha. it's so smooth, creamy, and you can really taste the strong matcha. It does say they recommend sipping rather than using a straw and I usually love to sip it too since the matcha cream is so good. BUT I really had to write a review this time around because the brown butter financier was SO good!! It came out fresh and was still hot when I got it. Definitely recommend trying if they have it available. There is usually a line but it goes really quick. It also seems like a nice place to hang out or study since they have so much seating! ( I didn't know they offer cold foam, i just happen to see they were pouring into other people's cup, so make sure you ask for it.
