Each time I've stopped into Blueprint coffee they've been consistent. The team here is always friendly and make orders quickly, and the coffee is always just what I expect. I love that the cafe is very open and that there are some different sized tables, and there's a good selection offered so most people can find something they'll like. Parking can be a bit tough in Old Sac, but if you're already in the area or walking around downtown this is a great option for great drinks, snacks and a place to chill or meet up with others. read more

I needed a bit of caffeine to keep me going after a busy morning in Old Sac. I got the Chai Latte, without any syrup added. Upon taking a sip, I realized I should've asked if they could just use half the amount of normal syrup because I could've easily made this same drink at home; this was my mistake! Nonetheless, it was nice to know they don't infuse their chai with a bunch of premade syrup! Will come back to try more drink options in the future. It's a nice, open place. The interior balances modern minimalism with warm, earthy vibes. A place you could spend an afternoon reading, working, or just people-watching. I ordered a mocha, an Americano, and one of their signature sandwiches. The mocha was solid -- not too sweet and with a pleasant cocoa depth (7/10). The Americano leaned a bit too bitter for my taste and could've used more balance (6/10). The sandwich, however, was the real standout: fresh ingredients, toasted perfectly, and packed with flavor (9/10). Service was friendly. Came in the other day and got an iced vanilla latte and it was so bad I couldn't drink it. Unsure if it was the milk or espresso but kind of think it was the espresso. Either way, there's way too many great coffee shops in sac to pay that much for something that bad. Also watched the barista text on his phone in the middle of pulling a shot and then not wash his hands before continuing. The guy running the cash register was very friendly but the pink haired guy was not. I'm very confused how this place is rated so high and I wish it was better since I live close and they have a lot of seating. read more

Came by for some coffee because the coffee place I want to try out is closed. I like Blueprint coffee project's minimalist decorations. Street parking ($3 per hour on meter) was easy in the morning. Cashier was friendly. I ordered matcha latte with lavender syrup, and oak milk. The cost of it was closed to $10. The drink came out weak on matcha and lack of lavender flavor. I had heard this opened up in Old Sacramento and finally was in the area and able to check it out. It is easy to find once you're in Old Sac. They are two parking garages (one I know you for sure have to pay for). Sometimes you can street park if you're lucky enough to find a spot. They have free WiFi too. First impression upon entering is I love how bright it is and I love how the decorated it. The seating set up perfectly maximizes the interior and it's so cool and has some really awesome photo ops. The menu is simple and easy to read. The staff is very sweet and friendly. They have food options including some gluten free pastries and savory items which is awesome! Another bonus is they have FOUR sugar free flavors! Most places have none or just one. They offer sugar free: vanilla, caramel, simple syrup and lavender! Although I do try and stick to sugar free flavors, I couldn't help but be drawn to one of their specials which was a cold brew with earl grey syrup and vanilla foam - perfect coffee choice for all my London Fog lovers! Great ambiance, atmosphere, vibes and coffee! Has definitely made its way into my top 3 places. read more

It was at the Blueprint Coffee Project that I found the only worthwhile a cup of coffee in the Old Sacramento waterfront. Yesterday it was a mildly acidic mexican, today it was a far more mellow smooth bodied colombian. The service here was quick, competent, with staff that knew what single source beans they were brewing for drip. Compare that with the answer I got around the corner: 'it's a mix of beans from places". The ambiance indoors is light and airy, with a lot of personal space. There were also a bunch of chairs and tables outside, on the wooden walkway that's a feature of Old Town. Blueprint is my go-to coffee place when visiting the waterfront. read more

My visit here was a profound disappointment. I was trying to be aesthetic for once and support a local business instead of a big chain, but what I got tasted like absolute shit. The matcha was rancid, foul, and tasted expired. It's honestly insulting to serve something that is so ass. I will definetly come back for more as I do want to try out some of the other drinks they have on their menu. Even though it was not outragously differernt. I love stopping by Blueprint Coffee before work in the morning! The staff is always so friendly and provide a warm welcome to start my day. They are located in the middle of Old Sac so parking isn't the most convenient. However, there are spot in front if their store, garages nearby, and lots nearby. Most of the parking in the area is paid. Inside is gorgeous. There are plenty of windows making it the best lighting for insta pics! It is a super spacious spot. I would also say a great spot for working! I've tried their vanilla latte which wasn't my taste. It was too strong for me. However, their matcha was amazing! The prices at this place paired with the "ambiance" and customer service leads me to not want this place as a flagship store in old town. A pistachio rose latte that was in no more than a 6 ounce cup is eight dollars, trying to justifying more than a dollar an ounce for a coffee. It's crazy prices! for nothing mind blowing. I got an additional chocolate milk that was a name brand not made in house milk along with an applesauce pouch and a croissant for $20. The staff there had no greetings when walking in. when he finally did talk to us when walk up to the cashier to get our order seemed like an inconvenience for them to be speaking with us. no friendly conversation no friendly facial expressions. My dark chocolate mocha was silky smooth, I thought dark chocolate wouldn't be as sweet but nonetheless it was good. They have a lot of open space for seating and standing. Since I work from home and generally consume a conservative cup of Jane brewed by my Keurig, it feels like a nice treat to support a local small establishment and have what I call "designer coffee." To accompany me in checking out Blueprint Coffee Project, I reached out to a close friend of mine who happens to be a coffee connoisseur. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by a friendly employee who was eager to assist us. While we decided upon our orders, I took in the large work spaces and various seating options to accommodate an individual, a couple, or a team of professionals looking for a change of scenery to get some work done. My friend ordered the Mushroom Matcha, while I browsed Yelp photos to see what looked appealing (I clearly did not do my homework ahead of time). Unfortunately, the drink that I would have preferred was seasonal (Beam Team Latte which is a combination of ube and matcha); however, the employee was very patient and helped influence my decision to order an Iced Caramel Coffee. Since I proactively burned some calories during the 30 minute walk to the establishment from my job, I figured that I would also try their peanut butter cookie. I found the Iced Caramel Coffee (with half a pump of caramel) to be a perfect pairing with the cookie. It was so delicious that I made sure that I was pacing myself so that I would have an even coffee to cookie ratio. Aside from servicing the surrounding area with delicious coffee and treats, Blueprint Coffee Project is also a non-profit that partners with Project Church to provide relief to Sacramento and surrounding areas. I hate to leave this review because I come here pretty often, but today these first time had this experience. Today I went in as I usually do chatted with the employees and per usual ordered my chai. After I received my drink I went next door back into my office only a sip taking to make sure everything was right. As I got into the office i was grabbing the door for someone and accidentally knocked the drink out of my hand. I was sad, but I thought I could just go back and hopefully they would comp as I had just left less than 3 minutes ago. I went right back in, explained what happened, and hoped they could remake it. Instead, I was met with awkward stares and no offer to help. All I got were awkward stares the coffee place I frequent couldn't show any mercy for a crappy situation.
