The food is fresh and delicious. BUT what really stood out to me at this restaurant was the staff!! I was a first-timer and the woman that took my order walked me through the whole menu and offered some of her favorites at my request. I sat down and waited for my food and another employee came and brought my food, utensils and napkins. I have been here twice for lunch and every visit has been a delight. Everything on their menu looks amazing. I tried their Chipotle Steak sandwich on my first visit and it was so delicious that I had to get it on my second visit as well; I highly recommend it. The sandwiches here are very tasty and made with fresh-tasting ingredients. The quality is better than subway or other fast food options. Sometimes the service van be rather slow, generally the wait is only a couple minutes, but occasionally the wait can be 5 minutes or longer. read more

I just went back here for the first time in a while and the menu has changed. The portions are a lot smaller also. I order a Buddha Bowl and added salmon because they no longer had what I normally order. I got my bowl which was surprisingly much smaller than the picture they advertise... when I took a bite of the avocado it was ice. I took a bite into the salmon and it was all pink inside and really under cooked. I took the bowl back and asked them to fix It so they put it in the microwave. So I had a microwaved avocado and a salmon that was still pink and didn't even taste good. I don't know why this place messed with their success! My stomach is hurting after that now. read more

If you are considering going to the Offerdahl's on Hollywood blvd I urge you to read this review in its entirety. Originally it was just going to be about a recent incident of totally unprofessional and horrendous behavior from one of their so called "managers" named Ryan. (It seems like this is the type of place that gives everyone a title of Mgr ) however after making contact with the District mgr named Mark Lopez to discuss my terrible experience I was assured that my complaint would be given to John Offerdahl's (owner) and that he would contact me to let me explain the event . It has been over 2 weeks with no follow up from Mark or John Offerdahl. Now for some history : this is the first time I have ever felt compelled to leave a review on social media. I had been frequenting this particular location from 2014-2016 7 days a week every week for breakfast and dinner to take home. The food is average-good and fairly priced. My low end estimate is that over that 2 yr period I spent a minimum of $14,000! In 2017 I stopped going there because I felt they did not treat me properly especially for someone who had proven to be a loyal patron. A few months ago I decided to give them a second chance. ( it is conveniently located for me). Things were going along fine until one afternoon I was watching CNN around 4 pm in the afternoon. There was a SPECIAL ALERT regarding Contamenated ROMAINE LETTUCE in the whole United States...They urged everyone to throw out all Romaine Lettuce no matter where you live!!! Now for the part that's hard to believe! I had just purchased one of there salads as I did every afternoon to take home. I hadn't touched it yet so I called Offerdahl's and spoke to Ryan. First I asked him if there was any Romaine lettuce in the salad I had just purchased and he said THERE WAS . I then explained to him what I just heard on CNN about Contamenated ROMAINE Lettuce. I told him that I was going to stop by in order to replace the Salad for one that had no Romaine Lettuce! He said he would check into it and call back... of course he never called back so I took the salad untouched still in the container back to Offerdahl's! When I said I would like a different salad this so called MGR said he called his supplier and that there Romaine Lettuce was ok. I said very politely that I don't care what his supplier said . They probably just didn't get the info yet!!!! Please just let me return my salad and make one with no lettuce ! He stood there with an obnoxious grin on his face and refused ! Now even if I was a first time customer which of course I'm not.. the proper business response should have been "thanks for the heads up and I will look into it further " At this point I was so angered and disappointed that I called him a f- - -kin moron ...Instead of doing the right thing and just making another salad he offered my $ back and I told him I don't want $ back I just want a salad remade... he refused and then told me he would call the cops if I didn't leave the store...As we all know by now all restaurants and food places were told to throw out all Romaine Lettuce!!! I gave Mr o every chance to contact me to no avail... I also know from a reliable source that my message was given to Mr. Offerdahl... I also told the district mgr Mark Lopez that if I didn't get a call from Mr. Offerdahl that I would be left no other choice than to leave a review about my experience!!!o Here is my review!!!! Btw... I had told Mark Lopez that I required an apology from Ryan before considering frequenting there place again! Of course no apology... I am now utililizing a restaurant with much better food and one that appreciates a LOYAL STEADY customer !!! read more

Amazing Food, Incredible People! Glad to have Felicia back in the house, she brings joy, hugs and hilarity! After frequenting this location for the last five years, it looks like our relationship is coming to an end. A few months back the menu was changed a bit, no real new additions, it was just rearranged and prices were changed. I understand the concept of inflation, but if the prices are increasing so should the customer experience, or at least utilize the funds to upgrade/revitalize the interior...which is not the case here. The quality of food is pretty consistent still, but not as good as it was in the past...the freshness just isn't there anymore. This store should consider the local customer base and that there is a competitor across the street putting out a better quality product, in a nicer atmosphere, and now at the same price point. I'm willing to keep my allegiance....but Offerdahl's needs to put in some work. read more

My fiancé and I were looking for someplace to get soup the other day. We stopped here and it instantly became of of my favorites! Their chowder soup is amazing! The only problem is they didn't put a whole lot of chicken in it. I ordered their Johnny's house salad with grilled chicken as well. It's a unique salad so I was a little uneasy about if I would like it but I loved it! It had plenty of chicken and it tasted great. Honestly this place has great food especially for lunch. If you want a healthier option definitely worth your time. I am a bit disappointed that their protein is not separate from the dish you choose. I got the salmon with the pacific Rim, and they seem to fill it up with rice more than protein. It was definitely a small salmon for a large plate. Taste is great but they changed their menu not to our favor which is annoying. If they gave larger portions on protein it would be noticeable to think about. read more

Okay. I already knew I didn't like this place because I've had the Johnny's House salad before, and my first thoughts were 1). I could have made a better salad for half the price and 2) The employees seriously lack professionalism and customer service skills. The salad was limp and the greens were not... green. They were a yellow-green which I suppose is okay for most people but when the grocery store sells better stuff I'd rather save the hassle and buy/make my own, but I was running low on time and didn't pack a lunch so to Offerdahls I went. Anyway, when I got to the restaurant, the girl at the counter was having this full-in depth conversation with a customer who already had her food, and had paid, talking about her kids and how many other jobs she has to work, meanwhile I patiently waited to order. 5 minutes later, after visibly showing I was running out of patience (I mean come on, you're there to do a job, not chit chat with someone while you have customer's waiting). Worst of all, she was completely rude to me, barking back my order to me and not even saying "you're welcome" after I said thank you several times. (That was my first experience, wherein I vowed not to return again). Unfortunately, I asked my coworkers what they wanted for lunch, and this was the consensus, so I sucked it up and decided to try something new. I ordered the Steak Sandwich today and .... what a surprise! Bitter disappointment. Okay, first of all, let me just say this place is ridiculously over priced for a deli/cafe. Today, I paid 9.70+ for a "steak sandwich", which to be honest, was really tasty, but seriously lacked in every other category. Second, I opted for the fruit instead of the chips and when I opened my bag, it contained a WHOLE banana. NOT the fruit bowl depicted on their website (nothing against bananas, but I had one for breakfast and I was really expecting more of like a berries/apple mixture). Hmph. Okay, well I dissected my VERY small portioned sandwich to try and find any trace of the portabella mushrooms that it is supposed to come with and I couldn't find one. Unless, maybe they blend them up to make the fennel sauce, but, if that was the case I was missing two ingredients. Not only that, but it was supposed to have romaine lettuce, what I got were two of the saddest little leafs, not even enough to cover the whole sandwich. I mean, I expect this crap from Burger King, but really? You guys sell SALADS and you couldn't spare an extra leaf for my sandwich that COMES with romaine? But, I have to give credit where credit is due, and that would be the reason for the two stars instead of just one, because I can't lie, it was a tasty sandwich, but now I'm thinking it was just my sub conscious telling me it was good because I was so hungry. I often frequent Offerdahl's especially when I am around one but the one in Hollywood is my favorite. They have the most friendly staff especially Felecia who lights up the restaurant with her personality. Also this location is always kept very clean and you'll never feel rushed.
