As far as first watches go, this one was not it. The entrance was chaotic, the food took forever to get out, we never got any water, and the potatoes were still hard. Between a text sent to a friend and when the food came out, it was roughly 30 mins. So be prepared to wait and enter chaos should you come on a Sunday. My sandwich had an egg in it, but my fault for not specifying that it was wanted as well done, so since it came out as yolky it was everywhere and leaves a mess. I haven't been to First Watch in quite a while. I dropped in for breakfast the other day and I was really impressed. I generally prefer independent, quirky-good places over chain restaurants. But I've got to tell you, First Watch has clearly been working hard on creating menu items that are bursting with flavor and originality. I had their Elote Breakfast Burrito and wow, was it tasty! Flavors of chorizo, red peppers, cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, avocado and pickled red onions...those are just a few of the flavorful ingredients. Wrapped in a warm, soft tortilla. I ordered a Watermelon Wake-Up drink. (Watermelon, pineapple, lime and mint). I had a nice quiet table in the corner, with the morning sun at my back. I sipped my coffee and drank in the atmosphere; all the sights, sounds and smells and it was a delight to my senses. read more

First Watch is always consistent and you can count on the food being decent. It was pretty busy on a late Friday morning but I was seated after about 10 min. The music was great as well as my server who helped me narrow down some options. I ordered from the regular menu (they had a spring menu available) - the AM bowl with a cranberry orange muffin, side of chicken sausage patties and a Pomegranate Sunrise. Everything was full of flavor, the Nutella was rich and filling although light on the stomach. I felt like I was eating healthy without sacrificing the taste. Only my second time at this First Watch in Hollywood. The rustic southern decor was relaxing with an open kitchen concept. Ordered the vegetable omelette with potatoes and thick wheat toast and they provide a raspberry preserve. My dad ordered the blueberry pancakes which was only two fluffy slices but was enormous and I helped him eat the last few bites. The server was super friendly and on top of the coffee refills. The server provides the bill although you pay at the front counter. They offer bags of First Watch - Project Sunrise Coffee for a reasonable $8.00. The bathroom was decent with modern tiled flooring complemented by black smaller tile up the walls. The four rolls of toilet paper was strange. They offer two men's and two women's private bathrooms which was a smart idea especially in an eatery. read more

Came here after a day at the beach, we were the first ones in and they greeted us politely. We placed our order and it seemed like she was new which isn't a problem. She just kept repeating what we wanted and would bring out the wrong this. I was just confused because she would repeat it correctly and would bring something else. I had the chance to visit this lovely spot for the first time, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quick service. My order arrived in a timely manner, which was great. I chose the asada hash, and it was quite tasty. I would rate it a solid seven out of ten just because it was a bit salty . The waitress was very friendly and welcoming, though she didn't introduce herself. The atmosphere was vibrant, even if it was a bit crowded, which added to the experience. We came here about a week ago for my mom's birthday. This was not our original choice, as the other breakfast spot nearby had an enormous wait and super small dining area. We were pleased to only have to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. Our waitress was super kind and indulged our request for a group picture after our meal. I have been to first watch and this location is the first time I came here. They were super busy like always. We went at around 12:30-1pm and there was about a 30 min wait. The server we had was a tad slower but I think it's because she had too many tables to serve. The watermelon wake was so refreshing and I loved the little kick of alcohol that it had. The food however was not that great. The veggies were very sour not sure if it was the sun dried tomatoes or what but it did not taste the best at all. Went here with my girlfriend for a late breakfast/brunch. When we got there it was super packed and we would've had to wait a long time but the hostess was kind enough to let us know of the community table they have which had space for us. We sat at the community table which could seat 8 people in total. 3 were already sitting in it and one joined us later. Service in the community table is pretty quick and you get the added luxury of more or less knowing when someone will come serve you or the food comes by when it happens to others in the table. We all seemed to share the same server (who was amazing by the way, what great service despite the craziness on how packed they were) who did a great job of knowing who to go to first etc.. I got the Honey Caramel Crunch Iced Coffee and went with the 2 for you deal that let's you get half a sandwich and a soup or salad. I went with the Ham & Grueyere Melt for the sandwich and the Chicken Avocado Chpp Salad. My girlfriend got the ice coffee (which we didn't realize would already have milk in it so we had it replaced with a cold brew - which was recommended by our server who overheard us talking about replacing the iced coffee) and the Hawaiian French toast and million dollar bacon. The food overall was great. My sandwich was so good, I finished it even tho I ended up getting full st some point during my meal. The salad was amazing. Definitely don't think it's on the healthy side but it's so good I don't care. I tried my girlfriends bacon (which I put one slice into my sandwich) and a bite of her French toast. The French toast was great but my gf said the pineapple didn't seem in season (taking her word for it cause I hate pineapple). The bacon was amazingly sinful (one of our comrades in the community table jokingly said the bacon was a sin) . Overall the service, food, and experience were great. Actually drove past the "First Watch" that's closest to my home in Dania Pointe; because this one had the better reviews . Unfortunately, ONE bad apple spoils the bunch . Fun Fact, I don't even like Apples!!! However working in a Service/ People industry myself I do have expectations and in this economy they're higher than normal, which I can abide with . But it takes 2 to party, so retail, healthcare, hospitality we all have to be fair, as providers and consumers . And when an unfair opportunity presents itself decide how to respond. I responded by leaving and taking my business elsewhere , to the same place I give my money to over and over again. Reason being , I understood and accepted that the restaurant was running at a high volume, and waited to be called . And I apologize for not having heard her, however grace and follow thru is always appreciated . Her tone was dismissive, and condescending when she told me she'd already called me; then another young man who was actually polite took me to our table; but before that him having asked her, "where to seat us" her response "Anywhere there's a table" came out just a little to eh and unseasoned for me . And if that's the service, I don't want the food . Point blank and Period . And I am doing everything not to put her name here, b/c again considering the times we live in . I've been coming to first watch pretty frequently since it opened and it never disappoints me. I love how they have a seasonal menu and drinks and their usual menu. The staff is also always very friendly and service is very prompt. I ordered my favorite farmhouse hash with a biscuit and it was very delicious I love that they put haas avocado on it adds a different texture to the fluffy eggs and crispy potatoes. We also got the million dollar bacon which was crispy sweet and spicy it was so delicious! it usually gets pretty busy on weekends so I recommend getting their early or putting your name on the waitlist online and checking in when you arrive I've noticed it helps me get seated faster when I do this. Overall the atmosphere is very clean and inviting which is defintely a reason I frequent here so much. read more

I love First Watch. They do so much right. The portion size to value ratio is quite a bargain I chose the Parma skillet hash. Italian sausage, Crimimi mushrooms sun dried tomato and cheese mixed with the seasoned potatoes. 2 eggs on top and it is perfect! Aside from being greeted by the hostess with "...only one?" (a pet peeve of mine when I dine solo) the service was right on point. Who doesn't like a whole pot of coffee and carafe of water...? The place as casual with hardwood floors and comfortable seating. This has to be our favorite "First Watch" location. It does get very busy on the weekends but, as busy as he gets, the staff does a great job at moving the flow along. Besides, it's worth the wait. We've had several of their menu items and they are all a hit, but their frittatas, in my opinion are absolutely incredible. You can tell that the ingredients are fresh and everything is made to order. Their ice coffees are OK but feel more like a milkshake than an actual iced coffee, but I think that some people might prefer that lol. I don't know if the cornbread that we ordered was a seasonal item, but it was truly the best thing we had all day. The restaurant itself is very nice, very clean and has good vibes. This breakfast spot was the definition of a mixed bag. I was fortunate to get really yummy food & good service, but some of the others are my table were on the complete opposite end of the spectrum. I had the sunny seoul hash & the kale tonic juice. The hash was a delicious breakfast mix of runny eggs, potatoes, & peppers with a Korean flavor profile (the gochujang sauce added a great tang and spice). It was exactly what I wanted! The kale tonic juice was bright and refreshing. Unfortunately, others in my group did not have such a good experience. The coffee cups were stained with lipstick from whoever had last used them (which means they likely weren't properly washed), and my one friend's food went to the wrong table & she didn't get her meal (a simple oatmeal!) made for her until we had been there for close to an hour. When it finally did arrive, she said it was cold and not flavorful. The manager did handle the situation well by comping her meal & giving her a gift card, but it was wild that it took so long to correct an oatmeal. This service issue did seem to be out of the norm, however. The ambiance of the restaurant feels like a breakfast chain, but there wasn't anything bad about it (besides the lipstick stained coffee cups). I have never been in any of this very famous chain restaurants before but I was pleasant surprised by the creative menu and all the organic and fresh ingredients. Our waiting time was reasonable since it was on a Sunday for brunch. The staff was attentive and the food arrived hot, our dishes tasted delicious. Fresh ingredients and generous portions were served. The homemade potatoes were fantastic and the eggs were cooked and seasoned well. The pancakes were also fluffy, tasty and delicious. 4-23-23 Noon We were a group of five my friend who lives closest to this restaurant got us on the list before arriving so wait wasn't too bad. Now I must admit when I heard we were going here I was less than thrilled. But hey wanted to see my friends so said nothing. Our waitress was fabulous and my friend asked for separate checks she didn't blink and said no problem. Since I already tried the breakfast at another location I thought salad go healthy for once. Asked which was the most popular than chose something else as the Pecan salad sounded interesting and I love pecans. Our server said it would be spicy but it truly wasn't just delicious. Also got a unsweetened ice tea with fresh lemons and our server kept them coming. The atmosphere which is most important was very nice. We sat in a booth and I could hear everyone speak and there was no unpleasant odors in the air. In fact the seating was ideal as we weren't on top of another table. Second visit. After not being too satisfied with my first visit (Order: Lemon Ricotta Pancakes (dry and hard AF), Bob's Red Mill Cheese Grits (delicious!), Kids Bacon and Egg (meh, egg was cooked a little hard; scrambled eggs for takeout should be a little under to account for continued firming during travel)), after a long pause, I decided to give it another try because I was intrigued by the Holiday menu, particularly the donuts and the Hibiscus Punch; I LOVE hibiscus. Order: Gingerbread Spiced Donuts, Citrus Hibiscus Punch, Bacado Omelet, Million Dollar Bacon, Bob's Red Mill Cheese Grits. I was a little nervous when I saw the sad sliver of avocado and the sour cream looked a little curdled, like it may have been sitting out for a while, but it turned out there was avocado inside and it was all hot and delicious. The grits were again delicious, hot and cheesy (there was an ACTUAL cheese pull...in GRITS). The Million Dollar Bacon was ALL of the things, so good! The main issues were that the "warm gingerbread donut holes" were not. On the way home, I like to snack on food that should be crispy while it's hot (e.g., french fries, onion rings, etc.) to enjoy it at what should be it's peak. These were not. They had to have been made way before the pickup time. If the other food was hot I don't see how something that should have just come out of the oil would be not even lukewarm, but cold. And when I got my order, the Citrus Hibiscus Punch was in a regular cup with ice and the lemon wheel. I mentioned that I had requested no ice and they went back and brought a new one. The replacement was in a children's cup, that wasn't even full and didn't have the lemon wheel. I just took it because I didn't want to make a big deal out of it. It looked like it may have been a manager that I talked to about the ice and when he stopped a server and asked him to redo the drink with no ice, the way he said it was almost like either the guy was in trouble or something for getting it wrong or I was being annoying for making the request. This was one of the main reasons for my score, as I have a pet peeve with restaurants that have a passive-aggressive issue with "no ice" requests and don't fill up the original container. I'm not even trying to "game" the system, it's just that if I'm not going to drink something immediately I don't want ice turning it to water before I do. If what I got was supposed to be the equivalent without ice, there is A LOT of ice, like it's half ice, which DEFINITELY would have made the drink nothing but flavored water by the time I drank it. So it's really just being cheap. Just as a I accept that I may not get certain things on a takeout order that don't pack well or at all (in this case a cinnamon-spiced sugar rim, which you obviously can't do on a closed to-go cup), restaurants shouldn't have a problem with requests for no ice without being avaricious. I might try again, but now I'll cross pancakes AND drinks off the list. read more

For Wednesday morning this place was packed. I was a bit surprised. The food was good, but for 1 sausage they charged us $2.99 I was in shock. I told the server is there a sausage missing from my plate and she was like "No the order comes with only 1". I will never again do that. The service was all that, she came by once to check on us. The food took a while to come out so you would she would pass by more than once to see if we needed anything. For breakfast you can't go wrong.
