Been wanting to try the brunch at Officina for a while and finally was able to make it. We were seated promptly and given our water preference. Our drink order also came out quickly. We started with the meatballs and Caesar salad, and I loved how they kept the anchovies more whole versus broken down. For entrees we opted for the pancakes and the bolognese. Both were so good! The pasta was rich and full of flavor and the pancakes were so fluffy and had a great hint of lemon. Will definitely be back to try out the dinner and happy hour. Highly recommend.

The service here was slow. Food was ok, I would recommend the tuna carpaccio. The Agnolotti was a good pasta dish as was the flavor of the Agnello (lamb) but it was overcooked.

Officina gives a wonderful dining atmosphere right on the DC wharf. Can serve perfectly as the setting for a romantic date or a lunch/evening with friends. The Vitello (stuffed veal) is a MUST! Delicious flavors filled with celery root puree, trumpet mushrooms, hazelnuts and glazed w/ an ossified buck sauce. Delizioso! I also enjoyed the spicy rigatoni. It wasn't too spicy and I loved the nuda ricotta drops it's served with. It literally melts in your mouth. The broccolini was also a great vegetable complement to the meal:). Seasoned perfectly w/ a great crunch but NOT undercooked.

Great rooftop bar area, comfy couches and personalized fire pit seating. Enjoy a cigar, some bubbly and a the view! Buy your cigars here - although be mindful - some are dry - the humidor is a curio glass case and my suspicion is not monitored for humidity to keep the quality of the cigars offered at a pretty marked up price.

Came here for a birthday happy hour that turned into a rooftop party our friend was DJing at. My review is about the downstairs only. I had: Standard lemon drop w/tequila - 10/10 - no notes Fritto Miso - 0/10 - this may have been the most underwhelming calamari I've ever had. The dish was supposed to have: crispy calamari, rock shrimp & green tomato. Served with a lemon aioli. It came with a nearly raw potatoes, peppers, popcorn shrimp and soggy calamari that was more oil than anything. The aioli was the only thing that saved it. At $19 you definitely have expectations and I love calamari so it was disappointing. With the hassle that is parking in the wharf I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to come back for the food. Service overall was fine and they came to clean the area frequently. It's also stunning inside and on the roof and the bathrooms were clean.

I love Holidays! Last 4th of July 2024 we just ventured to local beaches. This 4th we staycationed in the city and made our way to Officina on the Saturday that followed. Officina is located at the Wharf in D.C. with that said, parking is a nightmare! Prices for parking are high so expect 40-60$ extra just to park. On to the restaurant, the aesthetics of the restaurant are just beautiful! Definitely can dress up or come casual. To my surprise the honey picked Italian, he's not really a pasta guy. I do love Italian, so lucky me! Service was great! Let's get into it! Fritto Mitso - Super Yummy! Fried Shrimp and Calamari with a medley of peppers! Portion size on the smaller side. Polpette - Braised Meatball, sauce delicious! Portion side on the small side. Lamb Chops - Delicious but very small! Fusilli with Crab - Fusilli drizzled in oil dressing with crab, this was on a speciality menu and unfortunately I forgot to write the name down or take a pic of the menu. Drinks - Great! Overall, portion sizes were on the small side. Very good food but for the extra expense of the Wharf and small dishes, I would likely not return. Service was good but nothing that would woo us back. Definitely a must try for those who like Italian.

Officina has a lot to offer for a restaurant. The restaurant itself is hosted on the first and second floor. There's a large bar on the first floor and a very small bar on the second floor, but the second floor has the most activity as far as patrons. There's also a rooftop that often has events or parties after the restaurant closes on floor 3 where they only serve drinks: I dined in and I tried the lobster linguine. This is why I gave four stars. My lobster was not chewy and meaty, but rather quite soft and flimsy. Not sure how it was cooked. Yes the flavor was there but the texture wasn't what I expected. Linguine was great. Service was also very fast and polite, friendly & accommodating despite having quite a lot of people in the restaurant. I was able to order quite close to closing, which I appreciated and I would return.

If you love Italian food then you'll like Officina. It's a multifaceted restaurant where the lower level is super casual, kinda rustic, with a large bar. The Second level is fine dining, white table cloths and is definitely a vibe. The second level also has a generous amount of outdoor tables to take in the water views of the Wharf. When we visited, it was super hot out, so we didn't take advantage of the third level rooftop but we did dine outside although the sun seemed to follow us around. Lol The food was excellent taste wise. We had the Fritto Misto (calamari and shrimp) as an appetizer, she had the crab topped pasta and I had the lamb chops for entrées. Again, all top tier taste wise, but unlike most Italian restaurants, the portions were super small and left you wanting more. I had to get an order of meatballs just to leave somewhat full. Service was impeccable and made for a great 4th of July weekend dinner, next time I won't come as hungry.. Lol!!

My family and I enjoyed eating here for an impromptu brunch! Some of us had more of a breakfast feel (e.g., pancakes, hash), and some of us had more of a lunch feel (e.g., pasta) - perfect options for brunch time. The quality of the food was great, although I will say the portion sizes were slightlyyyy smaller than I'd want for the price. The ambiance is very cute - we were seated on the top level and it has a great view of the water/wharf! Our service was good!! Give this place a try!

Great drag brunch!!! My friends met here for the drag brunch and it did not disappoint ! We took the elevator to the rooftop (spectacular views!), welcomed with the complementary cocktail- some kind of frozen YUMMINESS - and were seated. The DJ was AWESOME as he warmed us up for the entertainment! I ordered the French toast and bacon. Be sure to ask your server to bring you syrup as it took awhile for my side of bacon and hot syrup to arrive. The coffee with milk was delicious! On to the drag show! It was awesome! I enjoyed the costume changes, energy and fierceness! Good times for sure!

My wife and I were visiting from out of town and came here on May 31 at 11:00 AM to celebrate a special occasion. I'm so glad I picked this spot--she absolutely loved it, and the view of the D.C. Wharf made it all the more memorable. I had made a reservation in advance and noted that we'd only have about an hour before needing to head to the airport. We were greeted by someone who seemed to be the manager, who kindly acknowledged the timing and ensured everything ran smoothly--even though our flight ended up getting delayed. Every dish we tried was excellent, and the service was thoughtful and well-paced. Huge thanks to the team for making our visit feel special--and for helping me earn a few husband points! What we ordered: * Seabass - Loved it! * Linguine with Lobster - Loved it * Caesar Salad - Loved it * Tiramisu - Loved it! Highly recommend this spot for a meaningful meal with a great view.

Very cute vibe but the service was a little slow. There were only a few other tables in the restaurant occupied. The food was delicious though!

This looks like it has great promise. Waterfront views, high ceilings, breezy interior design. The main dining room is upstairs, cool stairway, there is an elevator option as well. Service was extremely slow. While I have read you can eat pork medium rare, it's not how I prefer pork. The starter was decent, ricotta had a strange texture. The pork chop was ok, the sides were not seasoned well. This would not be my first place to eat any meal. Additionally, they do not validate parking.

Between the handmade pasta, creative cocktails, beautiful waterfront views, and welcoming staff, it's become one of our regular OpenTable reservations. At this point, we've tried just about everything on the menu, from the bomboloni and fluffy Morini pancakes at brunch to many of the pastas at dinner. If it's your first visit, don't skip the gnudi--they're pillowy ricotta dumplings that are absolutely worth ordering. The pappardelle and cappelletti are also favorites, while the gnocchi and tagliatelle are always a hit with kids. The espresso martini is a great way to kick off a relaxing weekend, and what keeps us coming back isn't just the food. We've gotten to know the chefs, managers, and several servers over the years, and they consistently make us feel welcome. It's the kind of restaurant that remembers its regulars and creates an experience that's just as enjoyable as the meal itself. Paccis looks like a small family owned Jersey Italian spot tucked inside a classic Capitol Hill brick home so of course you gotta try it. This fella keeps flapping his jaw the whole time. Even to the elderly couple cross the room. Ok so maybe I was part of the problem but whatever. Anyway it feels like home. They eat there all the time, so that's a good sign. Good people. Which is good because the food is good too and You don't want bad ambiance to detract from a great meal. Oh and did I mention the couple who sat next to us after that were speaking Italian and sharing pizza and pasta? Paccis is certified FOOD: So oh yeah they serve food here too right. Let's talk about it. Me and the girlfriend love to share everything because why come to a delicious restaurant and only try one dish? Fuggedaboutit! We're sampling over here. She starts with a Hugo spritz that apparently is a "girliepop fave" which I might deserve jail time for typing those words but whatever sue me she liked the drink ok? Antipasti: We tried the eggplant fritti which was delicious. Also shared the beet salad. Also delicious. But I will say that we eat a lot of arugula salads and dry arugula even with all the toppings can be a little rough and I'd love if it was lubed up with a tiny bit of olive oil. Anyway don't hesitate to try either of these. Entrees: Buccatini alla carbonara was awesome. Creamy/cheesy, nice bite through the pasta, and that cured meat or whatever it was. We also had the chicken Marsala which was delicious but if you don't already know, don't ask how it's made so delicious because it's basically all butter and cream. Anyway pasta and sauce and chicken we're all delicious. Desert: Especially in an Italian restaurant this is almost always an automatic tiramisu for me but this time we decided to go with something different. The girlfriend loves a lemony dessert so we tried the limoncello cake. She loved it and I liked it. I would say get it if you're a lemon fan. And bada boom bada bing that's your review. Let me start by saying that the atmosphere in this restaurant is one that is so welcoming the minute you arrive. I approached the hostess stand to inquire if there was bar seating available to which the polite hostesses provided a gentle hand gesture and oral direction to the bar. While walking to the bar area, I encountered what I presume to have been a server who was likely standing watch from a distance over his service area, who apologized as our paths met. (There was no reason to apologize, very polite nonetheless) I found a seat at the bar and was greeted by Paul. Paul was an exceptionally pleasant and answered all my immediate questions while preparing my initial cocktail during happy hour. We discussed the menu and he provided great insight which helped finalize my decision for the evening . In the meantime, bar manager Laura stopped by to ensure that I was taken care of to which I informed her that Paul and I spoke and he is making a beverage for me. For the food...the Caesar Salad is #1. I am a food snob and this salad HITS!! While enjoying my salad I inquired about their cast bourbon selection. The staff was very knowledgeable and provided a price list to coincide with their higher end selections. My 40 layer lasagna arrived some time in the midst of the conversation where Paul extended a courtesy sampling of a wine that he recommended that pairs nicely with my meal. It was perfect. I closed out my meal with an espresso type martini, at which time Paul and Laura further extended and offered me a sampling of one of the bourbons I was looking at. I cannot say enough about this establishment. I can't wait to go back and have already recommended via phone conversations to three people and I just left. The evening and encounter was more than just pleasantries with a customer, rather I felt as if I was the only one. If the owner or manager is reading this, Paul and Laura are 10+ and I will be back. Thank you so much for the best meal I have had in DC over the last 2 weeks. Can't wait to do it again!!!
