I figured it was going to be a crazy line so I went super early with my daughter to secure a good spot. I'm glad we did! By the time we left the store, I couldn't even tell where the end of the line was. So the set up inside is so adorable and a good amount of photo taking opportunities when you first enter. As you move your way back, you'll see all the merch for sale. Very limited merchandise, more shirts and sweaters than anything else. Not sure if there was more when they first started the pop-up. There is a build your own keychain charm section that's specific to the pop-up and there also is a Hello Kitty and Friends small tote that's cute as a memorabilia type of thing. Other merch like exclusive keycahins, water bottles, mini tote bags, are available for purchase and a bunch of Chococat plushies. I picked up two keychains of my OG fave character and my newest fave character for a decent price range. My daughter also got a keychain which you could personalize. Cute experience, but definitely go early on a weekday with pop ups like this.

I've loved Hello Kitty since I was a little girl, so visiting this pop-up at Del Amo Fashion Center in my hometown felt extra special. There are plenty cute photo opportunities the moment you walk in! It really feels like a kawaii corner. There was plenty of exclusive merch too (move over Trader Joe's totes - my Hello Kitty and friends tote bag is cuter ;). They also had a DIY charm station. Best of all they had a Hello Kitty meet-and-greet today. There are other meet and greets planned - Pompompurin and Chococat on November 15 and Cinnamoroll and Lovelymocha on November 29. The meet and greets are from 11am to 1pm. It was such a sweet experience and my heart is so full.

I'll start off with the parking. There's plenty of parking in the shopping center if you get there early enough. The decor was on par with the theme. The place is not big but every inch of this place was decorated. Definitely gave a Halloween vibe. My husband and I wanted to try the food. At the entrance I was told to ask a waitress about a table. Some were reserved already so we waited a little while. Paola hooked us up with a table about 10 minutes later. We ordered our food and some drinks and within 10 minutes we were eating. We ordered some wings a burger and Cajun fries. Everything was delicious and although the drinks are kind of pricey they were delicious. Paola kept checking in on us and once we were ready to close the tab, she got us a high top table by the area where people were dancing. She still would check in on us from time to time and even brought us some water. So shout out to her! The dj played good music and the whole place was vibing. Everyone was having a good time. They played music that made me reminisce of my high school days as well as current music. The only thing I was not to fond of was the bathroom. Only two stalls for the women's restroom and a bathroom for either gender. At times the line would be long. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves very much and would definitely go back next year if they do it again.

I've lived close by for years and I gotta say, after coming to Quality Seafood twice (once in Nov…read more '25 and in March '26), I will definitely stop taking this South Bay gem for granted. I've only had the pleasure of having the following items below, but I'll be back in the coming years to try more. - Calamari [7.7/10]: regardless of what size you order, the portion is generous. This place doesn't overdue it with the batter and lets the flavor the fresh squid shine - which I adore. Only giving this dish its rating because there are a few Italian spots in Torrance that have my heart when it comes to the best calamari. - Fish Tacos [8.5/10]: Every bite gives a nice crunch of both batter and fish. I've had unpleasant experiences where I've had pockets of crispy batter, here the fish tacos are so great it actually doesn't need much support from lemon and/or tartar sauce. Be sure to order a couple of these bad boys during happy hour for $5 each. - Clam Chowder [8.3/10]: This place hits the mark on the texture of a classic chowder. Admittedly my cup could have used a touch of salt. I would have liked a bigger portion for what I paid for, but if you're in the mood for something hot to compliment your fried seafood - this is worth getting. This is also featured on the happy hour menu for $5 - Garlic Fries [10/10]: My favorite bite from this place so far. Not on the happy hour menu, but 100% worth getting and eating with your fish, shrimp, crab, lobster, etc. Perfect amount of seasoning and that white wet sauce on top is so so so addicting. The unsung hero of my most recent visit was Jose over at Station 20. In addition to taking my order, he single handedly called out orders for everyone by the dining the area during the end of happy hour rush. A whole wave of customers came in less than 10 mins I placed my order so I can only imagine how overwhelming things were on the service side of things. For my most recent visit, most of my order came in and my garlic fries came in last. I could tell there was a mix up in the kitchen, but Jose apologized and said a new order would be ready for me in less than 5. Definitely worth the delay/wait imo. Food is great. Seating is limited. Customer service is superb. But once you fish your food, you gotta take a long walk along the pier. It's a wonderful way to rejuvenate and make sure the quality seafood digests well. Can't wait to explore more of the menu, including the happy hour drinks.

I've been coming to Quality Seafood for the past couple of years, usually on Fridays for fish…read moretacos, and I've ordered the same fish taco and shrimp taco combination 40 to 50 times. It has generally been a place I've enjoyed and recommended, which is why this stood out. There's always been some normal inconsistency in portion. Some days the fish is bigger, some days smaller. Same with the shrimp, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. That never bothered me. It's part of a busy seafood counter, and I've never felt the need to say anything. What I got today was different. The fish taco was on the small side and dry, but the shrimp taco was the issue. It was served fried, very dark, and overcooked to the point the shrimp was tough. When I opened it after a few bites, I realized I was mostly eating tortilla and toppings. There were only about three shrimp total, which is noticeably less than what I've consistently received here before. In prior visits, I've also been asked whether I want my tacos grilled or fried, including the shrimp, and I've consistently chosen the lighter, non-fried option. What I received today was not that. I approached the counter politely and simply said the taco wasn't good, pointing out the quality and portion issue. I wasn't trying to make a scene and I'm not someone who returns food, especially over something this small. I was more pointing it out so it didn't keep happening. I was told nothing could be refunded because I had taken a few bites, so I asked to speak with a manager. That's where this went sideways. Instead of listening, the manager immediately dismissed it. She repeatedly told me that what I described was "not possible," insisted they have never prepared shrimp any differently in her 27 years there, and said they only ever serve three shrimp. As someone who has ordered this exact item many times, I was essentially being told that my own experience did not happen. The conversation ended with me being asked to leave. I've worked in and managed restaurants. Mistakes and inconsistencies happen. This was a simple situation that could have been handled in seconds, either by replacing the taco or offering a refund. Instead, it was denied outright and escalated. This wasn't about a $5 taco. It was about how it was handled. Being told that your repeated experience is "not possible" and then being asked to leave is not an acceptable way to handle a reasonable concern.

This place honestly felt like a little Hawaiian comfort food paradise…read more Right when we sat down they brought out a tray of their famous Hawaiian rolls and let me tell you... those things are dangerous. Soft, warm, slightly sweet, and impossible to stop eating. We ordered the BBQ Mix Plate, Lava Bowl, and some Spam Musubi. The BBQ mix plate definitely hit the standard of a solid Hawaiian BBQ meal, but the real MVP there was the teriyaki sauce. That sauce carried hard in the best way possible. The spam musubi was also really good, but what made it stand out was the presentation. They cut it nicely and served it with cucumber and ginger on the side which made it feel way more elevated than the average musubi stop. Now the REAL star of the night was the Lava Bowl. That dish was incredible. The sauce was packed with flavor and the noodles were cooked perfectly. Every bite made me want another one immediately. The ambiance was awesome too. They had a really cool fish tank that added to the whole vibe and made the space feel lively and welcoming. And somehow we STILL weren't done eating. Before leaving we loaded up on desserts to-go because the bakery section looked way too good to pass up. We grabbed a pineapple cheesecake, paradise cheesecake, guava slice cake, lilikoi cookies, and an apple coffee cake. Haven't tried them yet, but after everything else we ate tonight, my expectations are sky high. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in Torrance and craving Hawaiian comfort food.
