Today I visited the hospital with my aunt and decided to order a turkey provolone sandwich with tomatoes and avacado. This is also my first time trying food here at Torrance Memorial. The drink was delightful, a small carton box of vanilla soymilk. There are options here at the cafeteria, from burgers to pizza. I watched how they made the food and it seems to be made of fresh ingrediants. The sandwich overall didn't have anything striking or unique. But I do see that there are less diverse options. It would be nice to see a lot more flavorful dishes from different cultures. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was pleasant to try cafeteria food here and loved the ambiance of the place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So many people were helpful and guided me through the cafeteria. The service is quite good, no complaints so far. Thank you Torrance Memorial Yang's Cafe for the warm experiance.

I've pretty much been here all week and had food from Yang's Cafe. Today I had a tuna melt and curly fries. It was delicious! I needed this comfort food. It hit the spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service is always good and ambiance is clean with plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Condiments and utensils are available as well as a microwave.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Earlier this week I also had flank steak and mashed potatoes, a salad, and chicken wings with onion rings... honestly everything was good. If you're visiting and need something to eat, come on over to Yang's Cafe.

11-7-24 The positives are that they do have decent food for Breakfast and lunch. I did a grab and go breakfast burrito for $6.49 and a $2.59 coffee at the cafe.. It was hot. The coffee not as hot as I'd like. There's also a Starbucks if you rather spend more. I was here yesterday for lunch and had the Italian wedding soup, the turkey wrap, pepperoni pizza, salad and the seasoned fries. I liked everything. The BAD: I went by to see what they had and it was literally the same pot of soups from lunch all dry and crusty looking, and sadly sits around all day, so if you're not getting a freshly made sandwich I would not eat any of the cafeteria style foods. Service was great, depending on shift change and times you may have a bit of a line. I'm not in a rush so I let the staff go first to check out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Tables are bright and clean. Plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Yoooooooo this hospital cafeteria food is actually BANGIN. Had to run down here as my nephew is taking his SWEET time coming out. Young king making us operate on his time, can't help but respect that. My expectations were BEYOND low for this meal... I was expecting a premade burrito reheated in a microwave. Desperate times. To my suprise, I ordered a breakfast burrito and saw the dude throw the eggs, sausage, and bacon fresh on the griddle and cook them right there. I couldn't believe my eyes. They also had all sorts of different salsas, hot sauces, and other condiments. Locked and LOADED. I bit into that burrito and hit a stank face as if to say "They're making burritos this good in a hospital cafeteria?!?! DAMN!" Pleasant surprises like this every now and then are essential to happiness. You must have peaks to counterbalance the inevitable troughs. It was under $20 for 2 burritos too... this cafeteria whooping inflation all across the playground. Anyways, gotta lock back in on nephew watch... take your time though Young King! The world is yours! Ig @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

Torrance Food Crawl #275 Yang Cafe is located on the first floor of the new Main Building at TMH, the newer building that is parallel with Lomita Blvd. I believe this location takes the place of the older cafeteria, at least that's what another person there told me. Hospital cafeterias and cafes are not necessarily destination restaurants, you go to them because you have business (usually not pleasant) at the hospital and you're looking for something to eat. There was a decent set of options: burgers, pizzas, salad bar, etc. The just-made small pizzas looked good but I went with one of the pre-wrapped Breakfast Burritos. My first discovery was that the flour tortilla had become moist and was sticking to the wrapper. I guess that's inevitable for burritos wrapped in foils and then sitting under a heat lamp for a long period of time. The burrito contents included eggs, sausage, potatoes, and cheese. There was very little taste to it. A liberal application of Tapitío helped. But it still was a very average plain breakfast burrito. Generally hospital food, and even the cafes in hospital, have nutritious food. The prices are not high here and there is a nice choice of items to choose from. Even though my burrito wasn't the best I can't knock this place too much.

    Most amazing pizza.

I have gone with a few people many times and our favorites are: the Spanish latte, Mexican Chai, Chai Latte, and Mocha Latte. The Spanish latte is especially good, and the Chai latte is the best I have had in my life it's so well made. The Mexican Chai I can only describe as a cinnamon heaven with the best Chai base flavor ever. The Mocha latte is heavy in the best way possible, it's super strong and I love it. The best part I think for all the drinks is the baristas do not hold back on the coffee, and you always get your moneys worth. None of it is water down, and it's such a great pick me up. I can't really speak on the Matcha cause no one in my group has tried it since we aren't really big Matcha enjoyers. But I have been told that the strawberry Matcha is transcendent and absolutely fantastic. They have a bunch of Matcha flavor options as well, which would be amazing if I was a Matcha connoisseur, but unfortunately, I'm not . So I can't really speak well on that yet, but have only told fantastic things about it. The workers are all kind and work really fast so you get your drinks really quickly even though the line is pretty long. I will say the best time to go and get drinks is around in the morning when they open around 7:30 on the weekends. Again I have to restate wait is always 100% worth it for the amazing quality drinks you will get. I also forgot to mention the fact, you can customize your drinks to have different types of milk and they also have a bunch of other vegan food options as well. I think this is amazing even though my group doesn't really get those options, because I've been told even when people change out the milk, it taste the exact same, which I think is absolutely incredible. (Side note I may update this when I take a photo next time I go because I always forget to before I put on the top on and start drinking ) The experience is great. The drinks are absolutely incredible and the workers are very nice and very helpful.5/5 stars

The WiFi was so slow that I had to use my personal hotspot, and the seating consists of benches and mini tables that aren't comfortable for long periods. I'll definitely be back for the Island Matcha, but not to get work done!

Unfortunately, my visit on July 25 was a completely different experience. The black sesame bingsu had a strong pepper-like taste, making it unpleasant to eat. On top of that, the taiyaki we ordered didn't arrive until about 30 minutes later, so we no longer had time to enjoy it at the restaurant and had to take it to-go. When we politely brought up the taste of the bingsu with an employee (a young man with glasses and shoulder-length hair), he became defensive, spoke to us rudely, and walked away in the middle of the conversation before we could finish explaining the issue. At that point, we weren't even complaining about the delayed taiyaki. We simply wanted to let them know something seemed wrong with the dessert. We did eventually receive an apology for the delayed taiyaki, but only after we asked about the reason for the delay. The employee explained that he had mixed up our order with another table. I've supported Okrumong for years, which makes this experience especially disappointing. Everyone makes mistakes, and a delayed order or a food quality issue can happen. What really stood out was how the situation was handled. I hope the management takes customer service more seriously, because this visit was far below the standard I've come to expect from Okrumong.

The avocado toast was alright. It consisted of toasted white bread spread with cream cheese, scrambled eggs, topped with peppered and sliced avocado. It came with a side salad; not too much dressing. Banana Cream Pie Latte - this one carries the biggest punch for banana lovers. Banana cream the entire way from start to finish. Not too sweet. Awesome foam top too. I highly recommend drinking these without the straw. Foam top drinks are best appreciated when you get a nice 50:50 ratio of the foam and drink. Banana Matcha Latte - the name speaks for itself. It's a nice mixture of both. So if you're looking to feel a little healthier with the matcha element, then go for it. This was probably the prettiest drink of the 3 that we had. Americano - delicious and got the job done here. I naturally enjoy Ethiopian and Colombian beans. I brew them often at home. I was definitely wide awake after these drinks lol Strawberrynana Waffle - If you LOVE belgian-style waffles like me, then you'll find yourself ordering this again and again. It wasn't too sweet but sweet enough to easily go through 2 or 3 of these plates if you're crazy enough. Banana Walnut Honey Bread - the best for last! I really loved eating brick toast growing up.
