One of my nails broke and I wanted to get it fixed before it ripped off even more and Oh La La was immediately able to take me in. The store is fairly large and has a wide selection of nail colors. To fix my nail plus an acrylic and gel refill, they charged me $45 which is a really good price. And I loved that they didn't make a big deal out of or lecture me about my broken nail like other stores have. My nails look great; however, they scraped up the skin around my nail beds pretty bad. As they were working on my nails, I noticed that it stung a little, but I didn't realize how bad it was until I washed my hands later in the day. Around 5 of my fingers were scraped up/sore to the point that washing my hands or even touching these parts of my finger hurts. I've had it happen before but only on one finger at a time typically. As the days have gone by since, I've developed a little patch of dried blood by the top of my nail bed as well. read more

The design I chose was completely different from what I received. She notified me that she accidentally put polkadots on all of the nails but I understood and said it was okay. If that were the only issue I would've been okay with the service provided. That wasn't the only issue... I realized most of my nails were crooked and shaved completely different. A couple details were missing completely and most of the nails had air bubbles in them. The red is also transparent and the French tips are really low. I honestly would've kept my mouth shut but I realized the nail tech is just a bit mean. A customer came in to ask if the tech can file down her nails a bit because the tech left them a little rough on the top. The girl was extremely polite and super sweet about asking. The tech said okay I'll do it in an annoyed tone and sat her down. When she had a further look she saw that the polish was applied incorrectly but blamed the customer saying it was her fault! She said it was because she had her hand in an angle when curing. I don't see the point in blaming the customer, the nail tech should provide proper instructions if this is a regular issue. The tech should also check her work before the clients leave the salon. read more

I booked my second appointment over the phone the week prior, and when I arrived to my appointment, the salon was closed and undergoing renovation. I wish that the reservationist took down phone numbers to let customers know of last minute cancellations. I wasted my time on my day off and money parking at the meter. If they knew of renovations coming up, they should not have booked me. I called the number and they apologized and said I could either wait 3 hours for someone to come do my nails or come back another day and they would give me a discount for the parking I paid. I did not know what design I wanted, but I knew that I was looking for something simple yet fit the halloween theme. Went here with my boyfriend for two pedicures. I got a gel VIP and my boyfriend got a standard pedicure. Tracy helped us both and she was amazing! She really cleaned our toes and was very thorough with the service. She was also very kind. My nails looked perfect :) The place is also very clean and nestled right in the center of little Tokyo. Eh, first time going and I'm not sure I'd go back. I am happy with the color and the shape and really hoping they hold up well. However, they didn't seem to have enough employees to manage people in a reasonable amount of time. It was a Saturday afternoon and there were at most 6 customers in there and 4 employees. One girl came in after us with a 2pm appointment and they didn't event start her till nearly 3:30. We came in at 1:45 with an appt for 2 people and were finished around 4:30. We both got pedicures and I got a gelX set, but then kept having to ask the lady when they were going to start my boyfriend's manicure and they acted like we had never asked for it to begin with but I think she was just deflecting since no one was available. I got a regular acrylic manicure a week ago, and I was very dissatisfied. I didn't catch the technician's name, but it was a male who worked on my nails, and the service was poor. He didn't do any cuticle work and immediately started applying acrylic glue. I showed him a picture of nude nails, but he couldn't replicate it, and the result was blotchy and uneven. When he was finished, I asked if he could go over it with nude polish, and he told me no. Mind you, I would have paid for a color change, but it seemed like he was rushing so he could start on my sister's nails(mind you there was no one else there before or after we arrived, so there was no need to rush). The nails were charged at $75. We ended up ending our service early, and they let me walk out with these (picture for reference). I had to go to another nail salon to have them fixed and even they were surprised at how bad they were. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I wouldn't return or recommend this place to anyone. read more

The price list on their website says $42 for a back wax. She charged me $80. I'm not that hairy...

I usually have no problems when the women of the salon do my gel manicure and pedicure however any time male staff does either there is an issue or I'm over charged. Today was the last straw. Not only did the nail tech shave my nail off when removing my gel polish from my toes but he then proceeded to charge me to fix HIS mistake. I normally pay $75 for a gel manicure and pedicure and today I was charge $60 for a gel pedicure ALONE. When I asked the cause of the charges he stated I had a broken nail (which he shaved off after gel removal) callus removal (which was mediocre at best because he spent time observing everyone else doing good work and gave me garbage) and gel removal (when I usually don't pay that as I get my nails and toes done here every 3 weeks). The worst part of it all was that he soaked my feet for 3 mins and then left my feet out of the water the entire pedicure. On top of roughly oiling my toes and legs and not using any lotion at all as all other techs in the salon do. Again no issues with female techs but every single time I have a male tech the service is lack luster. Extremely disappointing because I frequent in this location often. Today will be the last time and is the last straw. read more

We had called in for an appointment for three people, was told it was fine. Arrived and there were only two people there - as anticipated now that we saw that, we were all rushed through our individual appointments so that we would finish fairly around the same time. This also meant that none of us even got a chance to add-on extras, which was mainly the reason we came to begin with. Was hoping for the chance to treat my out-of-town visitor to a relaxing experience and instead it was just, mediocre. We had chosen this because last time we were here (before the name change) we had a great experience here, but I'm not sure if the management/owners have changed and that in turn is part of the reason our experience was drastically different. We lucked out for parking this time, but we went midday on a weekday. I'd imagine weekend parking in this area is extremely tough, so just a heads up if you're going to anticipate trying to find street parking. A big part of me really wants to rate the whole thing just two stars but I'll give three because color wise the gels came out fine, I just really really wish they had told us it would not have been three individual techs. read more
