Introduction: I decided to come here due to the recommendation of a friend. Ever since I had their croissants, I've been a repeating loyal customer. Food: Ham, cheese & bechamel croissant: This is one of my default go-to when I come here in the morning. The croissant has the right degree of chewiness and flakiness. The Parisian ham and bechamel together offers depth, savoriness and decadence to the croissant with each bite; the decadence, typical of European fashion, is balanced and modestly present without being burdensome. What I like about the croissant here is the fact after consumption, one does not feel overly stuffed; the baker explains it has to do with them doing only four folds of layering at most and thereby causing the croissants to be less dense in comparison to regular croissants that are found at other bakeries. After eating the croissant, one feels gradually filled and satiated; it's a pleasant feeling one should carry with them after breakfast in the morning. Ambiance: Clean, spacious, contemporary, classy Service: All the staffs are polite, friendly, cordial, and accommodating. Price: Reasonable and affordable. Overall: Until one has step foot into Oh La La, he or she has not tasted good bread. I recommend getting their baguette because the starters [bacteria] used to make them are live and imported from France. The baguette at Oh La La is unlike the usual American faux baguette one gets at local bakeries; the baguette here has a hearty crispy exterior with a moist chewiness at its center. read more

Breakfast Croissant, AMAZING.. Fresh warm flaky bread and the eggs just melt in your mouth. The server helped with offering a hybrid version with a side of hollandaise sauce since I wanted some type of spread on the sandwich. Service was decent. Atmosphere was cool. Id say this place is like a musical. Mad flashy and youll wanna sing and dance (they blasted funky tunes) but it didnt distract from the subpar drinks. The atmosphere is beautiful, and there is a lot of seating. The last time I went, things were different. No happy hour anymore. And there's kind of a dead hour. The brunch menu is over at 3 pm. The dinner menu starts at 5 pm. So when I got there at 4 pm, I couldn't really order anything substantial to eat until 5 pm. You can order from the midday menu, but it's much skimpier. Not too busy of a street and on a Wednesday morning it's 60% full with families and computer squatters (may ruin it in the long run if too many squat and work here but for now. Perfect amount). Sign clearly states if you want to pick up or coffee there is a check out near the front. If you want to order baked goods. You have to wait in line. I waited in line per instruction. A random white dude walks in. Goes to the cashier on the baked goods side. The lady cashier looks at me. Knows I'm here. Then the white dude basically cuts in front of me trying to be slick knowing he is cutting. Instead of enforcing the process she goes ahead and takes the dudes order. And he doesn't just order a coffee to go. Baked goods. Takes a look around. I mean it's embarrassing. Way to go cashier. Everyone deserves dignity and we're all busy. Absolutely loved this place! We went for dinner and the ambiance/music was amazing, loved how unique it was. The hallway to the bathroom had mirrors which was so pretty and perfect for picture taking. The food was also amazing and here's the highlights of what we tried: Beef bourguinon pie, super delicious and savory. Beef was perfectly tender Mushroom stroganoff: one of my favorite dishes of the night. Noodles were perfectly al dente, loved the sauce which wasn't too heavy or overly creamy. I was super excited to try Oh La La, but I was a bit disappointed. I ordered their MATCHA LATTE and it tasted like milk with a hint of matcha. The PLAIN CROISSANT & PAIN AU CHOCOLAT was ok - and wasn't very flakey. The SPINACH, FETA, ARTICHOKE pastry is probably the only pastry I'd go back for. I came here with my baby on a weekday afternoon, and had a great time! It's super, super cute inside, with plants galore, and lots of open seating. they have a large food, menu, baked goods, and lots of fun drinks. We were lucky in being able to try their pain au chocolat We asked for them to be warmed up and they did not disappoint. They were spot on. We had grabbed the menu, we wanted to try out some of their dishes. They are not budget friendly And on the sandwiches, the size for the price we had to pass. Sad we couldn't try but it's ok we had pastries and coffee. Service experience was great! We were greeted and were very helpful too. This place does add fees to your bill, just an FYI The Health Fee Now for families with infants Am glad to say, they do have a changing table in one of their stalls But for single dads or helping dads out there, sad news. It was a beautiful morning in Pasadena so figured we would take a walk and try this cafe. Cool crisp morning walk created great anticipation for this location. We arrived and the staff were very welcoming and it set the vibe right. We decided to dine in and there were plenty of tables. Drinks wise we ordered the matcha latter and horchata latte. Both drinks were really good, lots of flavor. Took a chance on the Horchata Latte and I was pleasantly surprised. The avocado toast was tasty and had great texture. But for me, the absolute reason I will be returning is the brioche eggs Benedict. First off the eggs were perfectly poached, and it's so hard to find a place that does it so kudos to the chef. Love love love. When I first walked in, I knew I would like this place. Driven by here quite a few times, and it's never struck me as something I needed to go try. Great, friendly people who served us. They always seemed on top of bussing the tables and bringing food. The only reason I gave four stars was for the price. I came with 2 friends, and with each of us buying a pastry to take home, drink, and main dish, it came out to more than I expected...it was almost $100. That's crazy. The food was really good though, so it was worth it to try at least once. The pastries were delicious! Please try any of the croissants--top notch! This makes it a decent place to read or work. There are some outlets along the wall, at head height, to facilitate any power needs. Beautiful space with plenty of pleasant, natural lighting, comfortable seating, and solid WiFi making it a great place for studying. I loved the greenery and southern French style. Matcha latte, and lemon donut were delicious!! I loved that they offered agave syrup as sweetener on the side for free so you could adjust the sweetness to your taste. We ordered the maple sea salt latte and cocoa mint latte as well. The milk texture was great in both. I would love a little stronger mint flavor in the cocoa mint since I got a strong cocoa taste but not as much mint. Perhaps a mint leaf on top as garnish might be cute too :) The eggs in the house breakfast plate were cooked perfectly. Also got the French burger which had some delicious cheese as sauce. I would have preferred the burger to be a little more moist since it was a little dry. The salad on the side looked great but was a little too salty. I loved the complimentary water pitchers which were beautiful and reminded me of France. The service was great and the cafe overall seems like a well-oiled machine. Everyone seems to know what they're doing. My friend and I sat here most of the day to study and did not feel rushed or uncomfortable which was also really nice. The only thing we lacked were more access to outlets but I understand that the cafe can't exactly add that. So if you plan to work, make sure to have a fully charged device when coming.
