The quality definitely stands out here. I could rattle off my favorites, but it wouldn't matter because some people like sweets and others like savories. I personally love both! They specialize in Korean-style pastries and breads, and they offer many unique signature items that you won't typically find at other bakeries. Dear Buena Park, you have a new gem in the cityyyy, Literally everything I picked up had me ascending, because wdym these cookies were the BEST cookies I've ever had!? I love to bake cookies but I know damn well I will never be able to replicate this. It is beyonddddd perfection. The size, the consistency, the moist to crispy ratio. The amount of sweetness. I wasn't even here for cookies but when I seen a whole tray behind the lady ringing me up, I had to get all of the flavors. Backkkk in the day, 85D bakery had squid ink bread but stopped making it for whatever reason. So when I seen this, I had to order and it was better than I've ever had! They had a sausage option too. Both were amazing. Majority of the baked goods were pretty much sold out and the bakers were constantly coming out with random breads. I was having so much fun like "ooooo what's that! Oooohhh ok I'll take 2". I don't speak Korean and the workers there were also trying their best to explain what was what. They were extremely patient and kept suggesting things to me. The bakery is small and clean with a good amount of seating. They also sell tea and coffee options ..which I did not try. Their hours are 7am-7pm and guess who's parking up front at 6:50am ?? ME. One of my favorite childhood bread is the chestnut bread. Their chestnut bread is probably one of the best ones I've ever tasted! It's a very soft pillowy loaf filled with lots of chestnuts with a lovely sweet crust on top. Also got their olive cheese bread which was decent. I think I prefer their sweet loaves more. I'm not sure what it is about their nutritious rice cake bread. It's just not my favorite among all the nutritious rice cakes I've tried. It's a nice size though. The lady working there (possibly the owner) is so sweet! After complimenting my toddler, she offered him a chocolate chip cookie which he enjoyed. She also gave me a sample of a matcha cookie that was freshly baked. Oh my word, that cookie was delicious! I wasn't planning on buying any cookies during this trip but after having a taste, I had to buy one! Don't expect a hard cookie, this one is a bit more cake like with a nice crumble. It's filled with chocolate chips and I think walnut. I plan on getting more of those cookies again in the future. Salt bread continues to be consistent in taste and texture. Cute small local shop in La Palma with a friendly owner and reasonable prices. Loved that they had a trio of mini buns with corn bread, mocha bread, and red bean bread: great for sharing! Red bean bread was tasty. Coworkers loved the mocha bread, and they are foodies! Corn bread was weirdly garlicy? Or buttery? Reminiscent of Smoking Tiger's garlic bread. Stopped by here to try this Korean bakery spot. The store owner/worker was super nice, she gave us a run down of all the breads and said she bakes them everyday for freshness. She also was super thankful for us coming in and trying her bread. The corn bread was insanely amazing!!!! It's their signature bread so it's a MUST. The bread is super fluffy and soft and there's cream corn inside the bread creating a delicious texture. The Korean salt bread also was amazing - I love how light and fluffy the bread is with delicious salt and butter. They also sell whole cakes here too which I'll have to try in the future! read more

They were out of the proper juices or mixes, & long conversation short: I wound up ordering a matcha latte, or rather the cashier/barista suggested a matcha latte after all alternatives were deemed unavailable. While the cashier fixed my latte, a genteel manager/owner lady reached into a the display case of salt bread, & handed me a loaf. That's when things got warm as freshly baked bread. One bite of the salt bread, & I was totally pimped out. The baked goods here are why words like "Daddy" are said out of context, & off the cuff. A wave of bittersweet butter salt flavor breaks across the palate after each deep bite. My camera did not eat first this time. I fed my head until I reached a state of global satisfaction. I do not think I got a photo of the salt bread at all. Oh Bakery, what have you done to me. Oh yeah, the matcha latte was all right. The salt bread made me forget to mention it at all. Was looking for a breakfast and found this place while searching. It's still in a Soft opening stage but they have all the items available. The surprising best item was the Squid Ink Garlic Baguette that they warmed up. It is the best garlic bread I've had, strong garlic aroma, bread is slightly chewy, and in the middle there seems to be some caramelization from the garlic butter, just divine. The Mammoth Bread has many layers, texture of a crumb cake with jam and raisins inside, thick and hearty, without being too sweet. Egg tart was good, perhaps a tad sweeter than I would like but still good. The crust is closer to a pie crust (in contrast to Chinese egg tarts which I think of as flaky). Salt bread was solid, we warmed it at home and it was slightly gooey on the inside. Lastly the black sesame mochi bun was extremely chewy, had to pull hard to rip it apart. The black sesame seeds are more decorative than flavor, since the taste was just bread. read more

What a hidden gem! This is probably one of the best Korean bakeries in this area. I actually don't even frequent too many Korean bakeries because most of them offer similar items. This place has some unique items and also takes everything to another level. I really like its flavored loaves of bread. They were all super soft and packed with flavor. The strawberry bread and mugwort/injeolmi bread are few of my favorites so far. These are not regular loaves of bread with just subtle hint of its main ingredients. The strawberry bread was filled with strawberry jam in between the crust and inner layer. Not even sure how they got the jam filled this way. I think this place also makes its own strawberry jam. Mugwort/Injeolmi was surprisingly good despite how it looked. I was kind of scared by the big green spot in the middle because it almost looked like mold, but I knew it was from mugwort. The bread had some cream swirled within to give it some sweetness. The garlic squid ink baguette is another clear winner at this place. I believe this is the signature item here. I rarely get anything with squid ink because they tend to be just gimmicky with the color but hardly any flavor. This one is potent with garlic. You definitely need to brush your teeth a few times after eating this one. The bread was savory but also sweet. It's almost like eating bread with some bulgogi marinade. Price is a bit high but I know this place uses high quality ingredients with no preservatives. The owner recommended eating everything within two to three days or put in the freezer. Service has been friendly. Owner has been very helpful in explaining all items in detail. My only suggestion for this place is to offer some regular, plain loaves of bread as I still need to buy some regular bread to make sandwiches with. I usually go to Okayama or Cream Pan to get my loaves of bread but I would prefer to come here because it's so much closer to me. read more

This is the place for salt bread lovers! I visited during a weekday morning, and every pastry was in stock. I've been looking for salt bread near me, and this Korean bakery showed up. I forgot to take a photo of my bread, but I ordered 2 pieces. They're displayed in the front of the bakery (near the cash register) in their own little display box. I was visiting my cousin's house, and my cousin's wife took me to this bakery. It was such a clean and welcoming neighborhood bakery, and all the bread was fresh. The owner was very friendly, and I was especially impressed to see her two sons helping out at the bakery on the weekend. I highly recommend the Butter rice cake bread! Wow~~ The outside was crispy, the inside was chewy and soft. The Injeolmi Bread was also amazing. Next time, I'd love to try one of their cakes. I first tried their bread from a coworker and it was DELISHH. I HAD to come to try their other breads considering that the ones I tried were sooo tasty and nothing that I've had before. I immediately noticed that they had a small seating area, which would be nice for those who're just looking to hang out! We were celebrating a work birthday and wanted to try somewhere new for a cake. One of my coworkers recommended Ohh Bakery, so we went for it--and I'm so glad we did! We ordered the blueberry cream cake (I think that's what it was called ), and wow... it was delicious. Light, flavorful, and not overly sweet--just perfect. At one point, a coworker even said it was better than the Whole Foods Berry Chantilly Cake... and honestly, that's saying a LOT! I wouldn't say it quite beats it for me, but it's definitely right up there and gave it some serious competition. Now I can't wait to go back and try more from their cake collection. Fresh, fluffy, and full of flavor--this bakery truly stands out! As a dedicated bread lover, I've visited many popular bakeries, but I was blown away by the quality of their bread and the much more reasonable prices compared to other spots nearby. I had originally planned to make sandwiches with the loaves I bought, but the bread itself was so flavorful that I ended up enjoying it on its own. The dough of the loaves were incredibly fresh and fluffy, tasting as if it just came straight out of the oven--I enjoyed every bite. The squid ink baguette was also absolutely delicious. During their soft opening, they were offering samples of a new nut-stuffed bread (I'm not sure of the name), and it was amazing! It wasn't available for sale yet since I came early, but I'll definitely be looking forward to getting it next time. I think this is going to be one of my go-to bakeries. read more

I am in love with this bakery's scones & butter+salt bread. I have to admit that the butter+salt bread is my favorite compared to all others that I've tried. The bakery owner highlighted how she uses top quality butter in this particular bread, and after trying it, I could tell. The bread was soft, definitely buttery (but it wasn't overwhelming), and the bottom had a beautiful crisp. It was heavenly. Aside from the bread, the bakery also has popular asian pastries, garlic bread that the owner highly recommended, and many flavors of scones & small bread loafs (cookies & cream, matcha, earl grey, the list goes on). I definitely plan to make my way through the list, especially for scone flavors. So far, I really like the early grey & walnut/pecan? (Some kind of nut that I forgot the full name though). Inside has a few tables & chairs, and the parking lot had ample parking since the plaza wasn't very busy. I also previously worked for a large corporate bakery, so I feel like I have a pretty good sense of quality. That said, this small local spot honestly beat almost all of my favorite pastry memories. My sister-in-law gifted me bunch of goodies from this new bakery. Tried the salt bread for the first time & it's a good balance of salty & buttery taste. The Basque cheesecake was really good. Not overly sweet, with silky soft texture made it decadent to taste it. My hubby enjoyed the crab meat sandwich. He enjoyed the crunchiness of the cucumber & lettuce with the savory flavor of the crab. He had the sandwich a day after we got it but it was still fresh & enjoyable. Heard they have other sandwiches too, all under $10. Can't beat the value, especially if they taste good & include fresh vegetables inside. The sliced bread was good on its own - i didn't add butter or jam as I wanted to taste the bread itself. Buttery taste, with moist & soft texture was perfect. The scones were tasty as well - they were portioned into 6 bite size pieces. I liked the scones too as they were the right texture & not overly sweet. Easy to eat on the go without dropping crumbs but I think I prefer the 'traditional' size of scones. Maybe just a creature of habit. I haven't tasted the chestnut bread & egg tarts yet but they look yummy so looking forward to tasting them. The chestnut bread has a cookie on top of it, which ove never seen before. As another reviewer noted, I much prefer to support small, local businesses than the large corporate, franchised bakeries. The owner was super sweet. She explained each item & shared how she came up with different items & planning to create more items, including cakes. This bakery opened about 2 months ago so is in the beginning stage of setting things up. I was impressed with the items they already have & will be back soon. It's not a short distance from my home but I think it's worth the drive. Try this bakery out, especially for the 'salt bread'. The owner said they are the best when fresh out of the oven. So if you're a morning person (I'm not), go early in the morning to get them. She told me to microwave it for a short time, not air fry, if i was going to eat it the next day, which i did, & it was super tasty. Both were beautifully presented and tasted even better than they looked. The shop itself has a warm, minimalist vibe with lots of seating to sit and hang out. The staff was friendly, and everything was neatly packaged, perfect for both dining in and taking home. This place was my favorite place when it was the Chinese bakery but glad it got another bakery. The staff here so nice and offered to give samples of their popular squid ink garlic bread. It definitely had a garlic flavor and although I don't love squid ink but I thought it was mild and this combination worked. They don't have a huge selection of baked good but they do have various bread loaf flavors. Their prices are fairly common to many other Korean bakeries. They also serve coffee drinks and I had an iced americano and I thought it was light and good! They have few tables inside the bakery to sit and enjoy the baked goods and have coffee. I enjoy supporting local business and I'm also glad this is all women run place! That's what I was told from the staff there. Their breads are soft and good! This place is a sleeper hit in north Orange County . Small cozy local small business with people who put love and care into the products they put out. Corn bread was a hit with my family and kids and I especially liked the sweet glaze over the squid ink garlic bread. They don't release too much all at once to ensure freshness. Bread interior has an amazing texture. Currently still in soft opening phase and rotation of breads varies between my two visits thus far but would love to support local rather than the big chains like Paris baguette or tous Les jours whenever I can. Reminds me of the small corner bakeries when I was in Japan.
