This is a great place for a meet up with friends who have children! This is exactly what we were here for. We came to Ohso and had a reservation on a Sunday afternoon. We were placed in a corner of the outside patio - which worked great for us. The server was super kind, but seemingly a little overwhelmed when dealing with our table (rightfully so). She was attentive to our needs and ensured that everyone (moreso the kids) were taken care of. The outdoor space is lively with other families spending their day the same way. There is a really cool play area for the kids which consists of arcade games, ping pong, and other outdoor lawn games. It truly gives them the opportunity to enjoy themselves opposed to sitting at a table the entire time. The fans blew and the 100 degree heat didn't feel so bad to us Floridians. We didn't order any food this time around, but my husband did order some drinks. He said the beer was fresh and cold - which he liked. Another outstanding experience at OHSO PV. We've been numerous times and today was an exceptional visit. We were lucky enough to be seated with Sophia again and it was great experience. My wife and I had the "Boozy Brunch" with her having the steak and eggs chili verde burrito and me having the biscuits and gravy. Perfect! Kate(Katelin?) also helped us out and just made us happy with her smile that lights up the whole world. Baker stopped by and reminded us even more of why we love this restaurant. But, full disclosure: it gets VERY noisy when kids aren't supervised and running wild (reason for my 4 stars). I am a mom so I get it, but when kids are acting like animals and disruptive towards other diners, someone should step up. On the food front, my recommendation is the Brisket Mac! On this visit, we tried the Campy Hazy beer and the Big Blue Van, and both were great. There are so many good beer options to choose from, it's always hard to narrow it down. For food, my son ordered the French toast with berries from the kids' menu, and my daughter went with the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. My husband chose the avocado toast with eggs over easy. I tried the fire roasted veggies and egg white frittata from the test kitchen menu. The frittata was enjoyable and nice and light, though it tasted more like spinach than broccolini, and I did wish it was a bit larger. It came with a generous side salad, which was actually much bigger than the frittata itself. I asked for a side of balsamic instead of the salad being tossed in ranch, which was an easy swap. Took myself to happy hour for a light meal and a drink while waiting for Good Friday activities to begin. They were pretty busy and there was a wait but I sat at the bar so I was able to find a seat thankfully. The oar was full as well. I ordered the dill pickle hummus dip and the crab wontons. They both were really good. The pita bread came out nice and warm and was paired well with my hummus. I ordered a OHSO mule and it was good. Strong so it took me a bit to drink it but I was in no rush because I had my kindle with me and read my book while I had some me time. I went for brunch with my dog and my mom. The only reason to give OHSO 4 stars and not 5 ... for brunch: no real maple syrup- they only have the plastic stuff it's so sweet and gross, and they don't have many veggie options, which makes me sad because they have so many good meat options. Why can't they have one or two creative veggie dishes??? Others than that I love this spot and my dog was in heaven. They have a dog menu!! He scarfed his eggs and burger patties!! I had a mimosa which was divine!! They can add different juice flavors, I got orange and grapefruit, and my mom got cranberry. I got all sides cause I wasn't really feeling the menu with no good veg options. My mom had the avocado toast without eggs (she doesn't like them) and it was sooooo good. They toss the arugula with this citrus olive oil that was so flavorful and my mom loved the toast because they cut it up to make it easier to eat. The potatoes were crispy and my scrambled eggs with cheese were simple but flavorful. My waffles were ruined by the plastic maple syrup. I loved seeing everyone's dogs dining with them. My husband and I had been running errands all evening and realized we needed to eat before returning to our hotel. We ended up coming to check out Ohso for our first time, at a time we admit to be pretty late in the evening... 9:30! Oops! We were greeted by Sydney, the bartender, and were treated so well. I went for a brunch a few weeks ago. The ambiance is very casual and the back outdoor area is lively. I believe some upgrades have been made to the location with new mini basketball hoops and video game cabinets installed. We've been here a few time because the dogs love it, typically the free treats (biscuits) OSHO has for the is made in-house from the barley mash left over from the brewing process. Unfortunately today they had "Milk Bone" store bought, that was disappointing. Our dogs LOVE the house made biscuits! Today there were a few mishaps; 1st the lack of dog biscuits, more importantly.... They CHARGED DOUBLE for the chicken strips because they are on the child's menu & they were ordered by an adult, then additional charge for a dipping sauce!! We truly enjoy a place like this that is so dog friendly, the service is always good, environment is fun with a lot of space & games to play. I'm questioning the double charge & additional sauce charge, that really sours the experience, brining doubt into our returning. My youngest wanted to go here for brunch this weekend. She'd been with other family members and liked the French toast so I reluctantly said yes (the menu didn't really interest me). We were seated quickly, but the table and booth had a bit of a grungy look and feel to them. I ordered The Standard, my oldest ordered the carnitas wrap, and the youngest got French toast. They only have black coffee which was decent and apparently they don't believe in refills. The food arrived as we were swatting away an endless stream of flies. For whatever reason, they brought waffles out instead of French toast. The food server looked shocked when I said that wasn't what we ordered, we'll need the French toast please. We started eating the rest since we didn't want it to get cold. The bacon was flabby, the one piece of bread was stale and slightly burnt, the over medium eggs were watery, and the potatoes were crispy but had no flavor. My oldest took about 4 bites of the wrap and said it was incredibly bland. She didn't eat much more of it. The grapes in the fruit salad came with the woody stems on them. My youngest liked the French toast which was good considering how long we had to wait for it. The place was incredibly busy, but the appeal wasn't there for me. If the brewery vibe floats around your boat, you'll probably like this place. For me, it's a no go in the future. read more

For quite a long time, I've been a fan of OHSO Brewery and visited a number of their locations. This one, however, is the one closest to me and that I have visited the most. They have indoor seating in a traditional bar area with seating. They also have outdoor seating with games and misters. There are plenty of TVs indoors and outdoors. The service has always been good, and the food has mostly been good. We also enjoy the dog biscuits on the way out and how the outdoor part of the restaurant is dog friendly. It turns out, my wife and I have a dog (though ironically, we haven't taken her to OHSO yet, but soon...). Their food items include burgers, salads, and more. They also have more than 30 beers on tapas well as cocktails and wine. My favorite items are the Classic American Burger (double stack 1/4 lb patties, American cheese, iceberg lettuce, tomato, pickle chips, mayo, and mustard aioli) or the BBQ Burger (double stack 1/4 lb patties, cheddar, bacon, crispy onion strings, and BBQ sauce). Both come with fries. I also enjoyed the Pastrami on Rye (peppered pastrami, sauerkraut, pickle, and pepper mix, Swiss, mustard aioli, and rye bread) also with fries. Came here with a friend who is a huge fan of burgers after the gym, maybe around 5:30. We were treated well by the servers, though the few workers we spoke to seemed to be pretty introverted. Luckily, for my first time, we came during happy hour and were able to try their crab wontons (which we got 2 plates of). Their guacamole didn't seem to have enough flavor, despite the inclusion of pico and fire-roasted corn (I kept having to add salt). The fries were KILLER, and they have a large variety of dips to try. My cowboy burger was good, but the patties were thinner than I was expecting. Aesthetically, the place is awesome. It's got a lot of tiki decor, free retro gaming machines as well as a small basketball lane shooter and ping pong tables. Finishing off my last month without a review for December was December 2015. I moved to the DC area in 2011, and my parents continued living in Phoenix until 2021 when they moved, and I visited at Christmastime. My friend suggested OHSO as they are dog friendly and known for this. People bring their dogs in this open air place. Brr...an open air place in December; oh wait it's Phoenix, it was sunny & warm (or at least not that cold) that late December day. Service was nice. I think I got some sort of sandwich, which was good as I recall. We bumped into someone else from our high school, who lived in Manhattan, Harlem neighborhood of NY, but like me was back for the holidays. The moment I stepped to the front desk, I accidentally stepped on something a dog left behind. It was DISGUSTING. I understand that it's a dog friendly place but that means cleanliness should be prioritized 110%. Also, shame on that lazy dog owner for not cleaning up their dog's mess. Other than that, bathrooms were clean (thankfully dogs aren't allowed in the indoor dining section). I got the blackened salmon. It was ok but the lemon butter was lacking the lemon part. I got the turkey smashed avocado sandwich tonight and when it got to the table, it was evident it either sat out for a while or didn't get toasted well because the bread was soggy almost all the way around (obviously worse on the bottom). I dealt with it but knew I basically had to finish the sandwich because there was no salvaging it for leftovers. We told her that's what we were originally told and should have been told the actual time from the start, but she said her manager told her "to tell people less time".
