We really enjoy this neighborhood brewery. They always have a great selection of beer and a great happy hour. There are lots of small plates you can get on happy hour and pictures of beer are only eight dollars. The food is good. Nothing that I would crave or go back for, but it is tasty. Service is great! Even when they are really busy, they are so attentive. They are well staffed. They have great outdoor space for when the weather is nice. Lots of TVs if you were there to watch a game. Came here to celebrate our new lease in the area :) we sat outside and it took a while to be helped initially, but another waitress seemed to be aware of that and made sure we were taken care of. We had the Buffalo chicken dip and an Italian chop salad to share! It was incredible. The Buffalo chicken dip never misses here, it is so consistently good. Stopped by for a quick lunch and noticed a pretty slow crowd today, so ample seating options. On slow days they encourage self seating. The team was very kind and quickly assisted me when it came time to order. I tried the Ensalda del Sol and was pleased by the portion size. Our evening began with the host totally dismissing us! Not friendly at all. I requested to sit inside was disrespected, too busy in a rude voice, and them got to watch 3 of the next 4 groups go inside. Nhi was our server and she did fantastic! She was so attentive, made sure everything was right, gave some great recommendations and made our brunch a great experience. I have been telling my husband about this place since before he relocated to Arizona and we finally made it in. The food was incredible as always. He devoured the brisket skillet. Fun dog-friendly spot, for brunch! We had friends invite us to do OHSO with them, while we were in the area visiting. We had our dog with us, and they knew they had the perfect spot. OHSO has a great dog-friendly patio on the backside of the restaurant, and on the day we visited it felt like most groups had at least one pup with them for brunch. How fun! 1/2 mile from my house. Great location, view of Camelback if you sit on their back patio. Here for happy hour. Love their white sangria that they make. Tried their mac daddy burger roll. Ground beef, american cheese, pickle, onion deep fried in an egg roll. Unsure that I would like it but it worked! Dipped in their special sauce (thousand island-ish?). I would get this again. We came here after our Little League game and everyone was great. The service was fine, but I ordered the Asian chicken salad. It was $17 and literally came with like three slices of chicken. Three bags of purple cabbage dumped in a bowl and that's it. It was the grossest thing ever. For $17? Come on Ohso...you are better than that. We went here to meet a friend who is now a local in Phoenix and she kept raving about it. We were seated immediately at their nice outdoor patio. I really enjoyed this place. It was quite large and had a huge outdoor bar that was very pleasant. Despite the 100 degree temperature, the bar was quite comfortable. The place is a nano-brewery so they specialize in small volume production of very high quality beer. They also make their own spirits which they use for cocktails and are quite amazing. Servers are super pleasant and make some amazing drinks. I had a couple of margaritas and a lemon vodka and soda. We had an appetizer of homemade hummus and pita and it was super yummy. I want to start with the good, before I get into the bad. Our friends who live in Phoenix talked this place up, so we came with high expectations. When we got here, I loved the area. There was plenty of parking. I loved the ambiance. The wall of dog pictures was very cool. Our friends brought their dogs. There were dogs everywhere. It was great! And they have a water station and free dog treats for the pups! Very cool! I loved the aesthetic. There were lots of TVs which was what I wanted because it was a full slate of college basketball for the March Madness tournament. When we were seated, it was as if our waitress completely forgot about us. Once we got her attention, we felt as though we needed to order both our drinks and food because we weren't sure if she was going to come back to us. Granted, it was rather busy so I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. However, it kept continuing. We sat for nearly three hours. She did comp our food because it turned out the kitchen never actually got our order. If we wanted our water refilled, too bad, we had to go fill our waters at the water cooler out by the hostess podium. Fortunately, we didn't have to be anywhere, so it wasn't the end of the world. However, given that we were only served one Mimosa in that three hour span, our server missed out on a bigger tip given that we were there to brunch. read more

Came here for a birthday dinner! Had a large party of 12. We were sat outside and our waiter was already set up with waters for us. The decor was really interesting, lots of plants and bicycles and fans. Three orders of chicken tenders and fries all came out at once, then it was another 10-15 minutes for the rest of the food. My sandwich was good! The aoli was a bit strong and tangy. The bottom piece of bread was pretty soggy by the time I made it to my second half of the sandwich. Fries were delicious. Confusing that they will charge you $2 to sub your fries for another side but all the sides cost the same thing. They'll also charge adults DOUBLE the price of a kids meal which is crazy to me lol... I identify as a 12 year old, in that case! The place is VERY dog friendly and even has a water spicket area to fill dog bowls with labels of different kinds of alcohol, so the dogs can pretend to drink! Heheh. You'll hear the occasional barking but all dogs are on leashes. Overall it's a place with good vibes, outdoor and indoor seating, pet friendly, and lots of drink options! read more

Went there a few months ago after I picked kids up from school. It was a late afternoon and it was slow. We got sat at inside bar table and got happy hour menus. Server came up to us and first thing she said was, "I'm scheduled to be off but I'll make sure someone serves you." Um, ok. Waited 20 minutes and no one came back so I had to flag a server. Ok, fine... it's a weird time and she gave me a warning. Placed our order of five Happy Hour appetizers then we waited, and waited, and waited... and after 40 minutes, I tried to flag someone down again. I waved to a lady who was at the bar register (there were different people working the bar counter and saw us the whole time), and I asked if someone can check on our food cuz we ordered 40 min ago, and I kid you not, she looked up at me, heard me, then looked down without answering. She continued what she was doing at the bar for about 7, 8 minutes, then walked off. No one was on that room for another good 8-10 min. I started getting pissed. If you are too busy at this time to serve customers, close it down to tally lunch totals, swap employees, do whatever you need to do to change shifts... but don't leave it open and ignore customers. Just when I was about to get up to look for someone, a guy in plain clothes with a baseball cap and blue golf polo served us our first app. He actually apologized for the wait and I did thanked him. Other apps came out soon after and the kids and I shared the first four apps, and when the last one came out, brisket sliders, the kids were full so I ate one slider and took the rest home. Next day, I'll had horrible stomach ache... and not a typical "I must have overeaten" one, but one where I had to stay by the bathroom all day, pass out, and take electrolytes. Two days later, I felt a bit better and went to eat the sliders cuz I was starving and depleted, and when I took it out, the top of the sliders were COVERED in mold spots. Not a few spots, but like mold polka dots ALL OVER the buns. I had never seen anything mold so extensively and so fast sitting in the back of a fridge, or even sitting out. I started thinking, how dirty does one's hands have to be for buns to grow so much mold that fast? Then I thought back to my stomach ache the day prior, and I'm like... ugh. I ate something REALLY dirty. I have no clue what I ate, but someone with REALLY dirty hands made those sliders.. and not just normal dirty, but almost fecal matter-like dirty to grow that much mold in two days in a fridge. I was freaking out, but ultimately was just glad the kids didn't eat the sliders so they were fine. There is no way I am going back to that place again. From service to food quality, I don't think it could have been any worse. Please make zero stars an option. This would be the first time I use it. read more

We stopped here today for our annual lunch visit as we biked along the canal. It was solid again. Our server was Elisa. She was very attentive and friendly. It seems that the menu has changed a lot from our last visit, a big shift toward Mexican cuisine., and that's OK with us. My wife ordered the Lobster Quesadilla and Iced Tea and I had the Shrimp Taco Bowl with a Pacifico draft. The quesadilla was presented well on the plate, and chock full of cheese and a lobster as well. My Bowl was also nicely presented and the shrimp were the star on the plate. These were both good meals and we liked them a lot. My wife's sister had a delicious looking burger that she had to eat with her fork and her brother in law ordered the Friday lunch special. Both meals merited the thumbs up. We are big fans of the outside seating along the canal and though today the temperature was near 90 we were cool under cover with plenty ceiling fans moving the air. The restroom was as clean as it always is as was the overall dining area. It is noteworthy that restaurant food continues to soar but I wonder if that is sometimes taken advantage of by management. This food was good, no doubt, but the tab left me thinking about a $60 lunch (with tip). I was pleased though that there was not an outrageous charge for using a credit card and I thank you for that. We always enjoy our stop at this restaurant and look forward to going back again next year. read more

Worst service ever!!!!!! We love Ohso. The food is great, the atmosphere is cool., we enjoy a good local brews. Our waitress, who refused to tell me her name, was terrible. When I asked for waters, the waitress rudely told me someone was getting that for us ...we were sitting there for 15 minutes before I asked and she ended up bringing them to the table 15 minutes later. My beer, which took forever to get, she said they were changing the keg. Had to ask twice for our bill. This waitress gave us an excuse that she had 8 tables she was taking care of so she was too busy - this sounds like an issue - I hope this message gets to someone that can help our waitress - who wouldn't tell me her name. read more

My wife graduated and received her Nurse Practitioner for Mental Health. I decided to throw her a (semi-surprise) party and invite some friends and family. I sent a note on the web form and Tess got back to me next day with how it worked. I didn't know exactly how many people were going to come nor did I know what to order as some people had food restrictions. Tess worked with me repeatedly via email and phone all the way up to the event. I even switched from the front room to the upper room last minute. The service was great. Glad I switched to the bigger room as we would have been quite crammed in there. The food proportions were just about right - people weren't starving and there wasn't a crazy amount of leftover food. For the cost for 20 adults and 8 kids was about $1100, which included alcohol, so about $40 a person. Not too hateful for a private party that is catered. My favorite beer is sour beer and they have their one on tap. Always enjoy that. Food was good. I especially loved the hummus. The big negative was parking. Holy cow, I have no idea where people park when things get busy. I got there at 4pm, which is kind of early and there was one spot left open. read more

Great recommendation by Scottsdale Bike Company, since it's right on the canal and offers bike parking next to the bike path. We rode there and enjoyed a table on the patio. Our waiter was friendly and provided just the right level of attention. We enjoyed happy hour plates, their Plain Jane Burger and a Basket of Sliders, with really delicious brisket and onion straws on top. We didn't order any food this round, just came to hang out and enjoy a pitcher, and the 89Ale was smooth and hit the spot. Only downside? We sat at the indoor bar and totally missed the awesome outdoor bar next to the canal until we were leaving. It looked like the perfect spot to relax, especially with the nice weather. I hang out at O.H.S.O. often and have to say that this is my favorite location. I love the Arcadia neighborhood and have always enjoyed sitting on the patio here. I am not a beer connoisseur so won't go much in details. You could always ask for recommendations from the waiter if you don't know much about beer. But my husband and his brother are beer enthusiasts. The said the beer selection is pretty good. For the food, we ordered crispy buffalo cauliflower and steaks fries. They were very good. Love trying different versions of cauliflower whenever I travel. It's amazing how you can make so many different types of cauliflowers and they still taste so good. For the mains, I ordered beer braised short ribs. So delicious. Perfectly cooked short ribs and amazing flavors. Went so well with the side of potatoes and green beans. Service was great. I can't say enough good things about this place. We travel with dogs, so finding somewhere for us and the dogs is a challenge. There's a difference between being dog friendly and being dog welcoming and this place is just that. Our pups sat in the seat with us the entire time. And they have a dog menu! No one in our group was quite sure what we wanted for dinner, so we opted for OHSO, which has a little bit of something fro everyone on their menu. For starters, we ordered the hummus plate and the artichoke dip. We like the hummus but did not care for the bacon jam that was on the artichoke dip. It made it sweet which just (in my opinion) should never be the case for artichoke dip! For the main course, I went with the shortrib plate and I was not disappointed! The mashed potatoes were delicious and the green beans were crispy and well seasoned. And the shortrib was perfectly shreddy, though I did wish for more gravy sauce! Also ordered at our table was the chicken tenders (they were yum), the kids cheeseburger (quickly gobbled up and enjoyed), and the kids mac n' cheese (this is Kraft, out of the box mac n' cheese). My boyfriend ordered the hot pastrami sandwich and was pretty disappointed with what he got. It was a few pieces of pastrami laid flat on a hamburger bun.
