Overall, a good experience. The staff seemed knowledgeable and did a lot of explaining. They actually did check all of the filters and fluids and showed you the results. They tried to sell me a bunch of stuff, which I guess is typical of an automotive shop. What I didn't like is my air filter was dirty (oops), and they guy showed me and said they'd put a new one in for $15. I said no thanks I can do that myself. I got a 'ya fucking right' look from the guy. I went to wal mart and bought the filter and installed it for $10. Saved time and money. This place is great! I just moved to the area and didn't know where to go for my oil change. I happened to pass by once and remembered this place. As soon as I got there, the employees were ready for me. No waiting, no line. I always come here and have a great experience but this time I was greeted by kody. He already seemed annoyed just from me showing up. Normally, they tell u either to wait or go thru, this guy just walked straight back and when I followed him in he gave me shit saying "don't go till I tell u, if u fell in the pit that would be on u and u would be waiting for a tow truck instead of an oil change" like ok bro I get that ur probably having a bad day but chill out u should've told me to wait like everyone else. Went here because I got screwed over by jiffy lube. These guys were 100% on the level and did the right thing by me. Jiffy lube overfilled my oil, stripped my drain plug and left an oil mess all over my engine. My truck was pumping blue smoke and vibrating after jiffy lube screwed it up. I have been going to the same mechanic for years. I needed to get an oil change before going on a trip, but my normal mechanic was booked solid, so I decided to go to Oil Changes to get this done. They were quick and friendly, but I did not appreciate their attempts to upsell with a bunch of additional maintenance items that I know I did not need that added another $400 to the bill. I politely declined and when they finished draining the oil in preparation for putting new oil in, they stopped and told me that the oil drain plug was stripped and must have come in that way. I asked to see the plug and when looking at it, it was obvious that it had been over tightened. They insisted it came in this way, but I never had an issue with this in the past, nor did my car ever leak oil. they put a butterfly plug in as a temporary fix, but now my car leaks oil and I am driving around concerned that the plug will loosen and fall out which would be catastrophic. I feel Oil Changers stripped the original plug and then lied about what happened. I can not confirm this because I was not under the car, but if it was in fact stripped, shouldn't they have told me this when they pulled the plug out, and not when they tried putting it back in and the bolt just spins and spins but never tightens. I am now looking at a $600 oil pan replacement and I am really angry about this. I truly regret ever bringing my car to Oil Changers. From the up sell totaling nearly $500 dollars to the stripped oil pan, I will never bring a car back here and I highly recommend you don't either. read more

This business runs VERY EFFICIENTLY!! I was greeted within a minute of driving up and told it would only be a 10 minute wait to start but actually they started my oil change within five minutes. They worked as a team with two or more doing various steps of the process to be able to get you through quickly. They also verbally stated every step they were doing as they did it because they were communicating it to their teammate as they went along. A big plus is you sit in the car as they are working on it so that you see their whole process, AND they communicate with you as they are working on it!! I didn't even have to get out of the car at all from start to finish!! The two gentlemen working on my car were great; the main one was Eric, and I unfortunately didn't get the other gentleman's nane, but they were so polite and nice. VERY DISAPPOINTED BY THE NON SERVICE NOT RECIEVED ON 12/15/14. Pulled in at roughly 10:15 am -10:45 am and there were three cars in the four car bay. I pulled in as usual, not too close, waiting for someone to tell me either which bay to go into or which car to pull behind. I'm a regular, every 3,000 mile customer, this is the ONLY place I go, I know the drill. I waited, 3, 4, 5 minutes, nothing. There was one young guy working and he seemed to be running to the office to ask someone in there for something, but in the few minutes I was there, I saw NO one else. Here's the thing, I have always given 5 stars for the excellent service I've received...I know good customer service, I recommend this place to everyone. At no time did the young man working, acknowledge my existence, look my way, even yell at me to "be right with you," nothing. Only when I started to pull away, did he even look at me. He didn't run over to stop me or apologize for the NON service, he just turned his back and when back to work on the cars. I've moved to Chula Vista, so I drove from there to get my oil changed...NOT going to happen again dudes. I get it, you're busy, but please, tell me that, ask me to wait, don't just pretend my ass doesn't exist. Or you'll get a pissed off old lady review like this and a lost customer. Lame. read more
