I visited these clowns last weekend. My car was running great until then. Engine and fluids all solid as a rock. Last weekend, I stopped by for an oil change only. These guys tried to up-sell me on a $10 additive for the oil change. I said no. After the change, I was given a list of activities they completed; which supposedly included checking my fluid levels. So, I foolishly drove off, trusting my new fluid levels were all set. I don't drive much these days (as I telecommute); so, imagine my surprise 6 days later when I discovered my oil AND coolant levels were way below normal levels. I returned to have them check to see why this might be and the dude quickly tells me that I NOW have a small oil leak on my oil pan gasket; one that could have been avoided if I had only bought an $10 additive for my oil change last wk (seriously, he said this additive would have made the gasket swell up so it wouldn't be leaking ......?!?!?). I kid you not. And, no explanation was made for the coolant level. And to add insult to injury, the wrench then tells me this news informed me that if he added any coolant today, I would charge for it this service. Folks, these guys are not mechanics ... they are rip-off artists. Look, there are a lot of other oil change places in Poway; that have integrity and a solid history of good service to the community. Businesses that won't pressure you into buying unnecessary things. Or misdiagnosis an engine condition and then expect you to just hand over the visa number. Next time, I will steer clear of these chumps. This isn't rocket science.... these guys need to move on outta Poway. You've been warned. read more

This place charges more than my regular place, but I was short on time and needed to get it done quickly. They pointed out a few other things that needed attending to but didn't try to upsell like other places. Had a great experience at the oil changers in Poway, the assistant manager James Palmer advised me that I did not need an oil change for another 1500 miles because my 2019 Ram 1500 had break in oil and was not required to change until 7500 miles. They checked all the fluids and filled my tires up without charge. I've been using this service for all my vehicles over many years. It's very refreshing to have people that are honest providing services like this. You have a customer for life! read more

I've used Oil Changers several times and am always impressed and happy with the job done. Yesterday I took my car in for an oil change before a long road trip and the guys there did a thorough check of my car. When they said my car's rear differential fluid was horrendous, as were my injectors, I was skeptical. I approved the changes, the job was done, and I left thinking maybe I fell for a scam. Sure enough, on my drive in to work this morning, my car is driving like a brand new vehicle again! Thanks guys!!! OK, so we were visiting the cleaners next door to Oil Changers on Poway Road, looked up and saw their store, and because my Lexus "oil maintenance required soon" light had been on for a couple of days, decided to get an oil change. We were greeted warmly by two of store manager John Kostick's technicians and served right away. They checked the oil and immediately commented that it was super clean and full, and there was no reason to have a change. They said it was common that sensors trip, and said it's a good idea to check it out, but sometimes sensors go on in error. They assured us the oil was fine, then topped off our power steering fluid, windshield wiper fluid, checked the air pressure in all tires and filled as needed, and made sure all lids were secure before closing the hood. Now I ask you, what vendor or car dealer in San Diego County could you go to with an oil maintenance warning light on, have the situation honestly assessed, and be told an oil change wasn't necessary? Say what? Oil Changers chose honesty and integrity over making a quick buck from an unsuspecting customer. And I am one of the most jaded customers ever when it comes to car maintenance because of being at the mercy of someone with the knowledge to service honestly or not. We were not charged for the maintenance work they provided, given coupons for future services, and then Manager John Kostick spoke with us about their philosophy -- the customer comes first and honesty is their best customer retention tool. Their prices are very reasonable, and I can assure you that we'll take our car to them for oil maintenance and any other service they offer, and they have a list of services available. This was my first time here, been trying different places in Poway. I came here because of all the Great Yelp reviews. I have to agree. These guys were fast, found things about my car, made helpful recommendations and provided excellent customer service. A great plus is that I can bring my car back anytime to top off oil, to check my tires and since they did not carry the air filter I use, they told me I can purchase at any auto supply store, bring it back to them and they would install for free! Never used these guys before. The wife and I were hesitant at first but we needed to get an oil change so we took a chance. It was a chance we were glad we took. The two guys who helped us were great! They even cleaned our windshield and cleaned off the tiny oil stain that dripped from the dipstick . Didn't push any other services to us and just gave us a few recommendation without any pressure. We will definitely come back again and will recommend them to our friends and family! read more

Oil changers delivers their promise to get you in and out in 15 minutes that is if you don't have any major issues with your car! Started coming here a year ago. I work a normal 8-5 M-F and coach full time too. I don't have time to do my own maintenance nor the time to wait hours at a shop or dealer. John and his staff provide great customer service and help maintain my car during my lunch hour. They do make suggestions on other services without feeling pressured. Today I only needed an oil change and got me in and out in 15 mins. Last time they helped save me a whole day and did my 90k service. I told them I already had an appointment set up at my local dealer. They gave me a courtesy quote and said they could get it done within 45 mins. All the same service my dealer offered at about the same price, but saved me 8 hours. Thank you John and staff for taking care of me. read more

The gentleman by the name of James first of all let me say he was very polite. I came in there with a 2022 vehicle and he did not tell me that the lowest grade oil is not a good brand, the only reason I say that is because when I drove in there and my car sounded smooth everything was good and the moment I left there my car was dragging and it was loud which only happened after I got the oil change. I went to a friend within two weeks of getting this oil change for $52 and he put synthetic oil in my car and it runs amazing and it's not loud and it's not dragging. He should have up sold me to at least the synthetic blend but I never heard about that oil that you put in there and when my friend took it out of my car it was black it just looked inexpensive. Not to mention that when the young man down below took off the cases to get to the knob to drain the oil, he never even cleaned those cases off they were just dirty oil and this is a brand new car and my friend had to wipe them clean before he put them back on my car. I had another bad experience at the same exact location that I wrote a review about with the manager of the place but thankfully he was gone. But James should have upgraded me to the synthetic blend and told me what the difference was because I wasted $52. read more

I called right away & was told to come on over. This is my new FAVORITE spot to get an oil change. Everyone is incredibly friendly & helpful & i was explained everything that would be done as well as a cost up front. This place is great. I went here for the first time a few months ago based on yelp reviews. If I lived closer I would definitely buy their 3 Oil Changes deal...cant remember how much it was. It's pretty much a drive-thru oil change. You pull up. Say what you want (mention the yelp discount) and sit in your car till it's done. The best thing about this is you can watch what theyre doing. I used to get oil changes at walmart but I always wondered if they actually changed the oil. And here you dont have to worry about a smelly greasy guy jumping in your car to move it up the line. There's one guy working both lanes up top, and I dont know how many are working underneath your car. The guy up top is really friendly and knowledgeable...nice combination of casual professionalism. But I kept getting confused because he would say something to the customer in the other lane or the guys below, and I kept thinking he was talking to me. I went at about 4pm on a weekday and there was no line. I was in and out in 12min and there was one car waiting in each lane when I pulled out. Fast. Good price.
