Super friendly staff, from the moment I pulled up and they offered me a beverage I already knew this was gonna be quality service. I came in for an oil change and ended up getting all my fluids topped off which is something most places don't do anymore, oil change, my windshield clean, and to top it off knowledgeable bilingual employees who not only focus on oil changes but any other issues they may see in your vehicle.. I have gone to this shop for many years., for several cars. There is a wait sometimes, but not always and they offer a beverage to you while waiting. Everyone is always nice and explain all things they have to offer. Show you what your car fluids look like compared to what new fluids look like and your filters, offering pricing and what is suggested by manufacture. Unlike a dealer who would sign your car in for things to be checked and slap you with a huge bill saying your car needed it!! lol They have records of the cars you bring in, so that helps to make a decision as to what might need to be done next based on your mileage or time since it was last done. I've had many oil changes at this place. Everyone here goes above and beyond. They definitely know what they're talking about. If it wasn't for them, my Chrysler 200 would have been done for. Before I got my Chrysler, I had a Chevy Impala and these guys and gals still went above and beyond for that car. This is my place to go to get an oil change. The guys are friendly. Although I moved to Fresno I still drive to this location in madera because I feel safer here! The guys even offer a beverage while you wait. This will always be my place to get a quick oil change for my car. I had one problem though when I first took my car. Once I got home after the oil change my dad noticed there was oil spilling from my car in the driveway. I was too busy with school and work to go back and ask the guys what happened so my mom went back for me and they kindly redid it and closed the lid. Setup: I am from Southern CA and have been visiting family in Madera for the past week. I am heading back to SoCal tomorrow and realized my car is very much in need of an oil change... Today: After having my appointment with PepBoys on Shaw Avenue in Fresno unexpectedly cancelled today due to them being overbooked, an hour before I was to arrive (at least they were really apologetic and polite about it!)... then experiencing bad customer service (just plain RUDE) from the PepBoys in Fresno on Blackstone when I called to simply inquire about wait times and possibility of making an appointment for today... I was pretty disgruntled... Due to the vehicle maintenance plan on my car lease, I was out of options for service providers in the area that would be free of charge for me; I did not know exactly what to do as I did not want to go through the hassle of paying out of pocket then submitting a reimbursement request to my dealership, etc. I was about to bite the bullet and go to the Jiffy Lube/Valvoline over by WalMart despite having a horrible experience with them about two summers ago when they used the wrong oil filter on my SUV and wound the vehicle up in the shop for over a week. Still debating what to do, my mom mentioned that my aunt and uncle had used "a place on gateway by the 76 station" and said it was good... Not many options left, I decided to give it a try. The service delivered by the OilStop DriveThru was top notch. It was the first time I was requested to remain in the car while the work took place. I admit that felt a bit awkward at first-- usually the places I have gone, shove you in a waiting room and only talk to you when they try to up the charges and/or collect the final fee. But, it was fine. The employees actually took time to explain each step of the process and show you the actual proof of the work they were doing. They went step by step without using any scare tactics or sales manipulations. They were all very friendly and the environment seemed relaxed yet professional. They did a terrific job, offered beverages while waiting, provided a free car wash voucher and coupons for a future visit. It all came as a very nice surprise to a somewhat frustrating morning. Being that I do visit family regularly, and feel that my visits may time themselves quite nicely with mileage usage/oil change dates, I would not be surprised if I continue utilizing the services provided by this location in the near future. I needed to check the gear oil level in a manual transmission car. I called around 10 other oil change places between Modesto and Fresno open on Saturday inquiring if they could do it. Every place I called asked "does it have a dip stick?" followed by "if it does not have a dip stick then we can't do it". I also tried calling some regular auto repair shops that were still open and the best they could offer was an appointment for Monday. I called these guys, and they asked what car and told me right away that they CAN do it, and add more fluid if necessary. Since they were the first guys after the other 10, at first I suspected they misunderstood me and thought I was talking about an automatic transmission, so I asked what fluid would they add, and the reply was 75W-90 gear oil. So I knew they were legit. Drove over and in 5 mins they checked my manual transmission and even confirmed that the slave clutch cylinder was actuating properly -- the only oil change place in 50 mile radius that could do this. read more

This is my first time at this oil change. I was very surprised and happy to find out that they are not paid a commission for selling, rather upselling products that I don't need. They still offer you all of the products, but it's nice to know that they are not paid a commission rather are just paid for their time. They give you a free soda which is nice. I took my truck in to get an oil change from "OIL STOP" in Madera. I was charged $93 for an oil change which is ridiculous.They we're trying to upsell me for whatever they could squeeze out. everything from needing transmission fluid, and whatever else they could think of. I park my truck in my driveway in front of my house every night. I came home on Friday (10-11-2019) parked it, didn't go anywhere over the whole weekend. Today which is Monday (10-14-2019) I leave to work and there is about a 3 ft. long puddle of transmission fluid in my driveway where I park. I've been parking in front of my house in my same spot for over five years and have never had any fluids leak from my truck. (Let alone a 3 ft long puddle) I've never had any transmission problems or issues. As I stay on top of my vehicles. I don't know if they got mad because I didn't have them change the transmission fluid. they tried to upsell me on. Because when they mentioned it to me, I said "yeah right". Because I already knew that I my transmission levels were fine. So, I'm thinking, that maybe they loosened some bolts or something, it just doesn't add up. I'm very upset. I will never go there again. I got way over charged. They tried to upsell me on everything they could think of. Yesterday I went in to have my car serviced as it was time to do so. I have been a loyal customer.....well that is over!! This morning I missed an extremely important appointment because my tire was flat!!!!! The technician that checked my tires let too much air out.. He asked me three times if I was ok with the tire pressure and I said yes. Meaning that they were all at the appropriate pressure... Obviously not!!! You just lost a loyal customer!!!!!!!
