This is seriously they BEST sushi place. We just moved to the area not that long ago and were worried we wouldn't find a good takeout sushi place. We did alright! This place is better than all the other places we have tried. All the sushi is always fresh and perfectly made. The last two times they even threw in a free app with our delivery. I highly recommend this restaurant. My favorite roll is the demon roll but I've had a lot of their special rolls and they are all really tasty. Love the rock shrimp, blue crab fajita, gyoza, and the chicken fried rice is so delicious. ORDER FROM HERE!! It is a little pricey but definitely worth it. The service is lacking, I ordered a ginger ale & I got a sprite. My wife ordered a Beef Ramen, and after waitinf 25 minutes the server comes and tells her that there's no Ramen. I got Katsu Don, she brings out Katsu Don but not the rice, I had to remind her (she works here and should know) that it comes with rice. But the food is superb. Tasty, fresh and crispy Katsu Don, delicious sushi rolls and fantastic Beef Udon. Otherwise I would have given it a perfect 5/5. We will definitely come back and dine in again. read more

Nice presentation of food but the quality is not the greatest. I'm not sure how this place managed to get 4.5 stars, but my coworker and I came in with high expectations that we're not even close to being met. The rice was dry, the fish did not taste fresh, and the pickled ginger was tasteless. There was also no one here except us and two other people at peak dinner time. That should have been an obvious sign this place wasn't the greatest. Wish we went somewhere else. But hey, at least we got some pretty pictures out of this trip. read more

My favorite place for easy local sushi takeout. You won't find fancy sushi here, but their sushi is very fresh and you get nice big juicy pieces of fish lol. They have a large menu and you can here for AYCE, but I have only tried their sushi and sashimi specials. I always get the Salmon Special and it comes with Salmon Sushi and Spicy Salmon Crunch Roll. I love that they offer sushi with salmon only. Not too many places offer this on their menu. I also like that you can conveniently order using the grub hub app which is a huge plus! *Update* I ordered 4 orders of the Salmon Special and they made me the most beautiful platter plus gave me a 10% discount! Haven't had sushi since pre-COVID-19 social distancing because we usually do AYCE. Decided to get delivery from here because we've been really missing our sushi! It was disappointing that in Lodi we were out of their delivery range on their site, but were able to order through Grubhub. The food was delicious !! Somehow the fried ice cream made it intact (magic?) and they provided a free appetizer for us to try that was truly amazing ! Prices are pretty good! Was craving sushi and yelped a place close to home. I love giving local businesses a chance because we need them to stay in our neighborhoods. This place is cute and serves fresh ingredients including their fish. We started with their Age Tofu & fried oysters. I wasn't expecting the tofu to come out as nuggets but nevertheless the presentation is key to make something so simple appetizing. The fried oysters in the menu said 3 but we got 5! I ordered the rainbow roll and my niece had the dragon roll actual I'm not sure but it has eel & snow crab...both fresh and delicious We had leftovers ...good to have a snack for later I would definitely be back to try their other rolls. read more

First, let me say that they that the food I ordered from here has great flavor! The sushi cooks (b/c I can't say chef) do sushi decently. But their customer service SUCKS!! We ordered multiple sushi rolls for several folks at my job (separately) and they insisted on putting all rolls together in multiple containers as if we were just going to have smorgasbord of sushi. They weren't labeled--so we had to figure it out. When I called to let them know they acted as if that was our problem. The lady I dealt with on the phone was absolutely atrocious. She refused to help figure out how to rectify this except to insist that we send her the food back and they would repackage (with the same food they delivered us). Just moved to the area and trying out new sushi places. The one I enjoy the most is closed on Monday.. I did a little research and found Oishi. This is my first and last order from them. Delivery was prompt and on time. However I had a few issues with my order. I got the spicy tuna gyoza which lived up to the hype and saved this review from being 1 or 2 stars. Amazing. Recommended. Here's where it went downhill quick. I also got two rolls. Alaska and Toyko roll. Instead of Alaska roll I got sent a Philadelphia roll. I ended up unrolling the sushi, and removing the cream cheese (yuck and also I'm sensitive to dairy!), but it still wasn't the same. Smoked salmon definitely has a very distinct flavor that I'm not necessarily fond of, and I was really missing that nice buttery creamy salmon/avocado combo. The Tokyo roll seemed alright at first piece, but it made my mouth burn a little. "Is there something spicy in there?" I thought.. eat another piece and BAM it hits me! It was so SALTY for some reason. Like they picked the shrimp right out of the ocean and didn't clean it at all. I ended up throwing it out. 100% will not order from here again. read more

I would have given this place 5 stars if it my review was solely based on the food. However I don't think it's acceptable when you usually order from this place a lot and each time the delivery is more than 1 hour late. I called the restaurant for an update and they were just making my food at the time I called. Food wise - the food is delicious which is what kept me going back. I always order any of the sushi rolls specifically the ones that have tuna in them. The spicy edamame, the Gyoza dumplings all very delicious. The flavors at Oyishi Sushi are deep and complex, the presentation is beautifully arranged, and the quality of the ingredients as a whole is top notch. I have eaten at Oyishi Sushi several times in the past and all I have to say is that each experience is different but equally satisfying. My favorite rolls are, the spicy crab, the California rolls (of course), the avocado rolls, the shrimp tempura and the dragon roll. Each time I go for a bite to eat I just have him pick something in the menu. Today, I had the rock shrimp and words could not explain the pleasure it left in the senses.
