    Stone pot bibimbap
    Benson K.

Ojuk recently opened after Sogongdong closed down. Ojuk is a new restaurant located inside the H Mart food court. I saw that it had a variety of dishes similar to Sogongdong, so I decided to come give it a try. I ordered the stone pot bibimbap with an egg. The dish came with a soup and several banchan, including a delicious salad and also some gochujang. The dish took a good 15 minutes to prepare. I've had many stone pot bibimbap. This one was solid. It did not stand out in any way, but it still tasted good. I loved the gochujang, which was not too spicy for me. The service was solid. Staff were nice. Overall, solid Korean restaurant inside the H Mart food court in Arcadia.

I do say this is my go-to spot for Korean comfort food in Arcadia at Omma Tofu House. Located…read moreinside the food court next to 99 Ranch and Sunright Studios (delicious boba), this place has become my regular for convenient, satisfying Korean meals. Their cold noodle dish is easily one of the best within a 15-mile radius. Honestly, there's not much competition in the area, so it's more about convenience versus driving farther for the absolute best, but Omma delivers consistently good quality that keeps me coming back. The bulgogi plate is a must-order when dining in. There's something special about that sizzling hot plate arriving at your table with the meat still bubbling and caramelizing. The banchan is standard fare with basic kimchi, nothing to speak home about but expected for standard Korean cruisine. What I appreciate most is how family-friendly this place is. The food court setting offers plenty of spacious seating, and parking in the lot is never an issue. I mostly do pickups and there's usually no wait time. The one time we did sit down to eat, I noticed a steady stream of delivery orders going out, which speaks to their popularity. It's not fancy, but for quick, reliably good Korean food in a convenient location with easy parking, Omma Tofu House hits the spot. Perfect for those times when I'm craving cold noodles or sizzling bulgogi without the hassle.

I decided to try to go in person and order my usual bibimbap + seafood tofu soup. I remember extra banchan can be ordered but not sure about dine in. I ordered directly with the server who handed me a buzzer to wait for my order to be called. It took an around 10minutes for the food the be ready. I had two trays, one for soup and banchan and the other for bibimbap. You mix your bowl of rice (be careful since the bowl is metal and hot!) into the bibimbap bowl, add sauce (only spicy version they do not have nonspicy sauce!) and mix!! It has all sorts of veggies and meat bits and a fried egg. You can also add all the banchan in as well but we wanted to eat them separately with each bite. They gave us a raw egg (crack it in the soup asap if you don't want it runny!) which I cracked into the hot stone soup, be careful because the bowl is super hot!! I think someone melted our tray with is be fair because the tray was morphed as well. Soup was delicious, love the tiny shrimps, clams, and oyster pieces inside with plenty of tofu which I mixed into bibimbap as well. Banchan was 5 dishes! Potato's salad is new to me as I'm used to their kimchi, seaweed, bean sprouts and fish tofu dishes. All great! Enough food so I didn't ask if they give extra banchan or a price or free. Once we were done we returned the tray and bowls to the restaurant. Glad I tried this is person! Still amazing and worth the wait.

It made me do a double take after not visiting for a while! A few things worth noting: - The entire staff is incredibly friendly and efficient, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. - Thoroughly enjoyed all the banchan. Take advantage of the complimentary refills! I liked the kimchi so much that I bought a large container to-go. I've been eating it daily ever since. It's on the sweeter side, not totally tart. Don't sleep on the raw squid either! - They've introduced two naengmyun options, one spicy and one non-spicy, just in time for summer. We tried the non-spicy version and my family enjoyed it. They use a chicken broth base and it was light, refreshing, and surprisingly addictive. - I love that they offer a beef and octopus soondubu (generous portion of octopus!). Most places only have a beef and seafood combination. Between the flavorful banchan, refreshing naengmyun, and attentive service, Young Dong Tofu has firmly worked its way back into my rotation.

It's in a large busy plaza with lots of parking but had to park at the other end of the lot. There was a sign up waiting list and it was about a half hour before we got a table. It's a clean contemporary table, booth and bench setup. Wifey and I had the Kimchi Beef Tofu soup, extra spicy, and the Galbi. We liked the cucumber and Napa Ban Chan the best. It gets refilled by an attended moving cart if you wish. The beef was a little chewy and you need a knife or use your hands to tear the meat off the bones. The flavors were good but nothing was really very spicy. Service was good. Seemed a little pricey for what you get, may repeat.

They are very cheap with the side dishes (banchan). Portions were extremely small, and refills were either refused or came back noticeably smaller. This is not what you expect from a proper Korean restaurant, especially given the prices. What made the experience worse was the unprofessional behavior. The staff were openly talking badly about customers in Korean, clearly assuming no one would understand. That is extremely disrespectful and unacceptable in any restaurant. Overall, the service and attitude did not match the cost or the reputation they try to present. I won't be coming back and would not recommend this place to anyone looking for good service or a welcoming Korean dining experience.

I finally came back after several years and was pleasantly surprised, this visit was solid. I came around 5 PM on a Saturday and was the only customer at first, though it started filling up closer to dinner time around 6. Oyster Tofu Soup - Comes with a huge bowl of rice in a clay pot, which I love. The soup itself was very flavorful and generously loaded with oysters. The side dishes were reasonable, and overall this was very filling. (4.5/5) Ban Chans - The portions are a bit smaller compared to other tofu spots, but still good quality. They served five different ban chans, and my favorite was the kimchi, it had a slightly sweet profile with a strong chili pepper kick. (4/5) Overall, this visit was miles better than my last experience here. Prices felt fair and service was decent. I did notice the staff speaking Mandarin, so I'm not sure if it's still Korean-owned, but regardless, the food was delicious. Parking: Large parking lot available.
