Delicious local spot with huge portions! The chicken katsu was juicy and fried beautifully. Comes with sauces for the salad and chicken ( I'm not sure what they're called but the creamy one I used for the cabbage and the darker sauce I used for the katsu) lots of searing and it gets really busy! I would definitely recommend the mini portion bc it was huge and only about $12 (prices subject to change).

The katsu here at Kazu Mori is always so crispy and hot. I just wish it was a little more seasoned, but with the mix set, they provide a variety of sauces to dip in and curry with your rice, so the flavors are all there! Service is also super quick and easy, and the portions are huge! I can almost always get 2 meals out of this or share easily with a friend.

Omg, this place is so good! Kazu Mori is officially my favorite spot for katsu. The portions are huge, and the restaurant is actually located inside H Mart, which makes it super convenient. I wanted to try the udon too, but it was sold out. The katsu curry is highly recommended - the curry is incredibly flavorful and pairs perfectly with the crispy katsu.

Returned for their tonkatsu and it's as yummy as ever! Still affordable and big portions. They're in the food court so it can be loud and the tables filled up fast. You order yourself and return the dishes after. The chicken katsu was crispy and tender. No complaints and will keep on coming!

Wait time can be long but the food is worth it. Dining area is shared space, foot court. You can always count on this place.

First, a yummy dinner and then a little shopping at H Mart. The curry udon was delicious and spicy. The Pork Katsu was cooked perfectly and juicy. Customer service was welcoming, helpful, and very appreciative. Two entrées and one drink for $20, not a bad deal at all!

This is one of my favorite Katsu places in the SGV and came back again to grab some katsu for lunch. I went with the Chicken Katsu (17.99) this time for to-go. There was no line to order since I went a while after they just opened. They are located in the food court of Hmart, and there are some tables there for dine in seating. I walked around Hmart while I waited for my order. It only took around 15 minutes for it to be done, and they have a speaker system in the food court that calls out the order number and the restaurant name, but you can only hear it in the food court. The Chicken Katsu comes with miso soup, salad, and white rice. They also give some sauce for the katsu and salad. The portions are still very big for the price and very worth especially in this economy. I was able to eat this for two meals! The taste is also amazing! The skin is fried to perfection and the seasoned deliciously! I definitely recommend this trying the katsu here if you are in the SGV!

Craving some Japanese curry with some good fried meat cutlets? This place really hits the spot. I recently tried out a place called Kazu Mori in Arcadia inside HMart. I got their pork and chicken curry. Both the pork and chicken curry looked almost exactly the same, and when I tasted them, they pretty much tasted the same too. It was hard to tell which was which! Maybe if they could've marked the box. I got take out since it would be nice to eat at home. You can eat inside the food court as well. It was a bit on the expensive side, costing $18.99, but you definitely get a lot for your money. They give you a huge amount of meat! Like 3 slabs but all cut up in strips. So, if you're super hungry and want a ton of food, this place will fill you up. It comes with a nice cup of miso soup, shredded cabbage salad and a heaping scoop of white rice. Overall, it was great! The curry tasted good, even if the meats were hard to tell apart. Just be ready for a lot of food and maybe a little "guess the meat" game!

Best counter service katsu! The curry chicken is less than $20 and you get your money's worth: 3 cutlets, rice, cabbage, Katsu sauce, a small bowl of miso soup, and a bowl of curry. The curry is mild and has a nice slow heat to it. Staff are friendly and they get the food out to you quickly. This is my favorite spot in the family friendly Hmart food court. Great for casual dining.

A HMART Food Court Draw! Huge Portions $18.99 for Fried Chicken Katsu, Curry, and Rice. They put all the sauce on the side for you to complement your meal. Definitely enough to feed three people for sure and take some to go. Ordering was quick and easy. The food came out in 10 minutes so we avoided the lunch rush.

I got the pork curry katsu and it was amazing. For under $20 I got all this food that will feed me for at least the next two meals. The pork was perfectly cut and cooked. Curry had a great flavor. Rice was cooked well. Only thing I wish was if the tonkatsu sauce had a little more flavor and thickness.

Kazu Mori is the best place to order chicken katsu! The service is excellent because they're so quick and affordable. I ordered the chicken katsu curry. I ordered it to go, so not pictured is the curry sauce which was in a separate container as well as the miso soup. I love how they package to go meals and separate the sauces from the dish so it doesn't get soggy on the way home. I enjoyed the cabbage salad to freshen my palate before getting into the katsu. The curry is spicy-- not hot, but flavorful! The chicken is super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It's such a huge portion too, perfect for sharing. I really can't think of a place that serves better chicken katsu.

It comes with soup mustard and dressing on the side and even tonkatsu sauce in case you don't like the curry.

Hello, is the cheese katsu vegetarian or is it fried in the same fryer as meat?

The cheese katsu isn't vegetarian because the cheese is covered in a thin layer of pork before they batter it

What dressing do you include for your salad? It's my favorite part of the meal

    Miso dressing. Its bomb.

Is the tofu katsu vegan? Or are there other vegan options?

Hello :). Tofu katsu is vegetarian. It has light egg wash. Thank you.

Hi does your curry have peanuts in it? I have a peanut allergy Thx

Hi there. There is no peanuts in our facility and no peanuts directly in our food. However, some packaged (factory) items we use say the common warning: may have been processed in facility that processes peanuts. Thank you for inquiring.

    Is Mapo Tofu Vegetarian?

It had pork in it. Unfortunately we don't have this anymore, but we have tofu katsu. Thank you for your inquiry.

Nevertheless, it seemed like only one lady was doing all the food prep by herself. We had to wait maybe 20-30 min minimum for our order. When she was mostly done making it, another man came in the front door, put his dinner from another fast food place on the counter and started helping her. Like many new places, order is by kiosk only and they do not take cash. Highly recommend you skip the in-store wait and just order ahead on your favorite services that they take and allow 20-30 min to get there so you do not end up waiting in-store. The food quality was mixed. The spicy curry was too hot for us even though the flavor was good. The amount of meat and egg and overall food is not that big and you are mostly filling up on rice. That is not worth the post-Covid and inflation prices they are charging. The food tastes ok, but is not as good as comparable places or sit-down Japanese restaurants. The mild curry was not too hot and had good flavor. The potato salad texture is different, but tastes ok. We did not know one comes with each dish and so we accidentally ordered an extra. For maybe $5.99 or $6.99 it was totally not worth it. Even though we ate different dishes and did not share we both got mild food poisoning from here. We got: potato salad, chicken katsu curry, unagi bowl, and omurice bowl and a mango flurry. You definitely need massive lactade if you are lactose intolerant to drink their flurries and other yogurt drinks. Only really worth a try if you order ahead, really want take out and are in the area, and order two dishes and don't eat all the rice if you are pretty hungry and expect to pay a lot for it.

The first thing we noticed when walking in was TBaar, a boba tea shop. The ramen restaurant is located right next door inside the same space. What surprised me was that their menu includes Taiwanese-style gua bao and popcorn chicken! It feels like an Asian fusion concept created with the American market in mind. This is currently their only location in California, with another location in Las Vegas. Most of their other locations are on the East Coast and in Illinois. The interior is definitely unique, with large lanterns, archways, honeycomb-style seating, individual dining areas, and lots of decorative details throughout the space. Luckily, we arrived before 6 PM and got seated right away. Not long after we sat down, a crowd started coming in and there was already a line forming. After looking through the menu for a while, we decided to order: #1 Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen (Black Garlic) $17.99 (They mentioned this one has sold over 500,000 bowls nationwide.) My husband ordered this one and tried all the broths. He thought this had the best flavor overall. #2 Braised Pork Belly Ramen $18.99 (This was one of their featured menu items in 2024.) This was my choice. The noodles were generous, and the pork belly was so dark in color that it almost looked like beef. We actually had to double-check that it was pork! #3 Mega Ramen (Tempura) $19.99 The garlic flavor was quite strong in this broth. #6 Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen $18.99 (This is one of their most popular choices in New York.) It does have a noticeable level of spice, so if you can only handle a little heat, this one might not be the best choice. Side dishes: Gua Bao (2 pcs) $9.49 Popcorn Chicken (3 orders) $26.97 Pan-fried Dumplings $8.99 Japanese Fries (2 orders) $15.98 Strawberry Banana Smoothie $6 One fun detail: the bottom of each ramen bowl has a message showing either a prize or a "thank you for visiting." Out of our four bowls, one came with a dessert coupon, but it can only be used on a future visit. Overall, the ramen was pretty good and the presentation was fun. The only downside was that my mouth felt quite dry afterward, probably because the broth was on the heavier side. Kyuramen x TBaar - Arcadia 7 Las Tunas Dr Suite B, Arcadia, CA 91007

I like that we can customize the sweetness and ice level. Although my drink was supposed to be 25% sweet, it still felt a bit too sweet to me TBH. Thankfully, I just mixed it with water to dilute it. The rainbow jellies were super soft and flavorful. People who know me know that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ramen. I'm a ramen aficionado. Lol The Tokyo tonkotsu shouyu ramen with white garlic ramen contains their signature pork-broth bowl featuring chashu pork, bamboo shoots, wakame, half a marinated egg, nori, corn, and scallion. The thinly sliced chashu pork was tender and juicy. The soft-boiled egg was marinated in a sweet and salty soy-based sauce. Loved the perfectly jammy yolks and deep umami flavor. The bamboo shoots, wakame, nori, corn, and scallion all enhanced the flavor of this dish. The shining star of this dish was obviously the broth. This dish contains a rich and creamy pork bone broth seasoned with umami-packed soy sauce. The white garlic adds a signature sweet, pungent, and toasty aroma that perfectly cuts through the heavy fat of the broth. The ramen was cooked perfectly al dente. Would definitely order this again. Staff: The staff here are very attentive, friendly, and helpful. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.

Maid Nagi was on duty and she was both very professional and very polite. I ordered the Maid Lele Combo, the fish and chips were very good. The fried fish felt juicy kn the inside and crunchy on the outside. The chips/fries were good, right amount of soft and crunch. The Arnold Palmer Lemonade was a first time ever and it was nice and refreshing. But if you're a fan of sweets. The star of the show is the cheesecake. It has to be one of the best cheesecakes I have ever had. Since the combo was a Maid Special, Maid Nagi turned me into a cat (it was really fun and cute) and we cast a blessing to the food as well. You also get a cheki with the maid on duty, this time being Maid Nagi of course. Overall the atmosphere of the café was peaceful and fun. I went at a time where it wasn't too busy which is perfect for someone like me. If you're a fan of maid cafés or wanna try one for the first time, I do recommend checking it out. Thanks again Maid Nagi for a wonderful experience

We were served by a wonderful Caucasian maid, and we also noticed a cute Korean maid taking care of some other tables--the whole staff was super friendly and really added to the charming, positive vibe of the cafe. One thing that really stood out to me was their retail section. They have a surprisingly solid selection of Japanese trading card games like Weiss Schwarz, Hololive, and Pokémon, alongside some manga. It's an awesome touch if you're a fan of the hobby or just want something interesting to browse while waiting for your order. As for the food, I had to try the classic maid cafe staple: the omurice. I ordered the curry omurice, complete with the signature cute ketchup art drawn right on the egg. It was hearty, flavorful, and definitely hit the spot. We also tried a couple of their specialty iced espresso drinks, including the tiramisu latte. They were topped generously with whipped cream and tasty crumbles. The drinks are definitely on the richer, sweeter side, making them feel like a dessert in themselves. If you're into Japanese gaming and anime culture, or just looking for a cafe experience that's a bit out of the ordinary with fantastic service and indulgent drinks, this place is absolutely worth a visit.
