This is not the first time I've been to KBop Korean Kitchen and it won't be the last. I really wanted to come back to try the KBop fries today and ended up getting some japchae and the Korean Fried Chicken Bowl too! They have really good service, super attentive, and they were very nice and made sure that we had the condiments we needed too. They also keep a very clean shop so we had no issues with a dirty or grimy table! A most excellent little spot that is nice and well kept. The food was so good and made fresh! The chicken was indeed crispy and juicy, the perfect flavor and crunch value was there. I had no problems chowing down on that delicious goodness. I chose to get the soy chicken flavor for my boneless wings and I was not disappointed! Our KBop fries were so good. Fries crispy and filled with delicious sauce and beef bulgogi, and we enjoyed it with a side of white radish which you can get a nice helping for a dollar. First time trying Kbop! The place is relatively close to my place of work. Here is my break down of the overall experience: My coworkers and I placed our orders for carry out. We placed our orders about 20 minutes before leaving to pick it up. We placed 6 orders in total. When we arrived to the restaurant, all of the orders were prepared and ready to go. All of the orders were correct and the food was hot. I tired the Kimchi Fried Rice with Chicken. There was a bit of kick to it, so if you are sensitive to spice, I'd consider another option on the menu. I didn't try the friend chicken, but from what my coworkers said, it was deciduous. I had heard about this place a while ago, but it never really caught my attention until recently when I saw some food photos online. It looked perfect for a post-workout meal with plenty of protein and carbs. The fact that they offer online ordering is also really convenient. The only downside is that the location is a bit out of the way. I arrived a little late for my first online order, but the guy at the counter greeted me with a really friendly smile, which made the experience nice. I honestly haven't seen anyone smiled like that for a long time. On my first visit, I tried the KBOP Bowl (chicken only) along with large Korean glass noodles (one of my favorite sides) and six boneless wings. The portions were huge for the price! I was already full just from the noodles and wings! It's basically fast Korean food, but the flavors were pretty solid. I ate the KBOP bowl the nxt day, can't say I like it as leftover. For my second visit, I ordered a mixed rice bowl with bulgogi and eight wings. The rice bowl was very filling -- besides the protein and rice, it had a good amount of vegetables too. Wow i'm so amazed at how delicious this bowl was !!! This place has been on my list for quite some time and it really didn't miss! You order your food up front and can fill up on sauces on the side !! love that they had sriracha bottles on the side and a few other sauces too. I will def be coming back again. The taste was more similar to American wings, but I appreciated the crispy bits. The batter was thin yet dense, not really what I was looking for. On the plus side, the meat was seasoned well. I liked the flavor of the Insane Spicy sauce, but not the texture. It was full of gochugaru and black pepper solids(?). Sadly, the fries were not good. They were not crispy and dense on the inside. We had a delicious quick lunch here at Kbop today! I've driven by a few times and love trying out Korean spots, especially more affordable options than AYCE, and this place definitely hit the spot. They are located in a plaza with plenty of parking, the staff were friendly and assisted us with picking our proteins and side options. They didn't have a lot of customers when we arrived, but once we ordered about 20 people came in after us wo we knew this was a good choice for lunch. I went with the most popular bulgogi beef and chicken with rice and salad. This was fresh and delicious. The salad was a great addition with cabbage and mixed greens and had the classic dressing KBBQ restaurants dress their salad with a rice vinegar base. I loved it. I will say I preferred the flavor of the bulgogi beef to the chicken. Next time, I might order just beef. My husband got the kimchi rice bowl with beef bulgogi, and it came topped with an egg. He really enjoyed his dish was well and we even had leftovers to take home. The price for both was good, coming out to about $30 with tax, including one drink. I recently saw a food blogger on IG post about KBop and I had bookmarked them as a place to try. I've been tricked by IG reviews before, so I decided to do some homework on Yelp before trying it and the reviews were good. So, I placed my order via their website for pick up. I got food for me and my parents. The food was ready when I got there and the staff was friendly. Condiments and utensils were in the bag and ready to go. I ordered 3 KBop bowls with different proteins/rice for each person, an order of the KBop fries with the spicy pork and an a la carte order of the boneless wings (Soy Garlic). The bowls are huge and can pass for multiple meals. The chicken/beef was nicely flavored and very tender. The egg on KBop bowls didn't travel well - the yolk cooked all the way thru by the time I got back home. The fries also didn't travel well. The spicy pork had a nice kick to it, not too spicy, but just enough. A couple days later, my mom asked "Can you go get that Korean Chicken for dinner again?" She must've REALLY liked it to ask for it again. Can't say no to mom right? So this time around, I the 3 KBop bowls and 2 orders of the a la carte wings (Soy Garlic & the Sweet Chile). Not normally the one to ever leave reviews, I was super excited to go because I tend to like the customizable bowls, didn't know that it was more of a set menu with additional sides for extra money, but that part is on me. When I went there and ordered two bowls with bulgogi, rice and salad. The rice was mushy on the outside but the inside was extremely crunchy and inedible. And the bulgogi was on the dry side, even after adding sauce to it, also it was a little bland compared to other bulgogi i've had. I would've ate the bulgogi if the rice was anywhere near cooked but it ended up being a waste of money. I found this very helpful for those with large families first timers , senior citizens, etc. it does have a hip fast food vibe . I love the korean bowl concept and decided to try this spot out in Monrovia. You can select from 4 sets of bowls, so I chose the kbop bowl which came with rice, salad, and choice of 2 proteins. The bulgogi and chicken were very flavorful, and the rice and salad complimented it well. The mix bowl came with more sides such as radishes, bean sprouts, and carrots. First time at kbop, came here for lunch during my lunch break. They have a good variety of options ranging from bowls to plates with regular seasoned fries to bulgogi topped onto fries. A meal will cost around $11 and up which is typical now a days at any establishment. The amount of food you get is a quite a lot. I ordered their bokumbop bowl with a my choice of protein of bulgogi. The amount of food in the bowl was more than sufficient to fill me up and i ate about half the bowl and was full. Saved the rest for tomorrows lunch. The presentation was great with the richness of the veggies and spring and green onion, fried rice topped with bulgogi. The only reason for a deduction in a star was that the bulgogi was slightly overcooked and dry for what i am use to when it comes to bulgogi. But the flavors and taste was there. I would definitely come back especially given the options nearby i.e. panda express i would choose kbop over panda hands down. The service was quick giving me plenty of time to enjoy my lunch and i look forward to trying their other servings in the future. All plastic utensils, napkins and paper plates for sharing are self serve. The menu board is not very extensive, which can make deciding a bit easier. Of course, they have Korean favorites like KFC (fried chicken) bibimbop or bulbogi. On my few visits, I've tried their KBOP bowl with bulgogi & chicken, their kimchi bokumbop, bibimbop bowl. The proteins in each bowl have always been nicely seasoned and tender. The flavors have always been a mix of slight sweetness and a bit of heat. Of course I always ask for more hot sauce. I also opt for the fried egg on top. The service have been excellent. I'm not sure if she was the owner but a young lady that helped me was very friendly and welcoming. She came by to check up on us to make sure everything was fine, and that's a very nice touch for a small business.
