Current running special as of 05/30/26 -- BOGO Mocktails! This Korean BBQ restaurant is a great spot for a fun, interactive dining experience. The meats are fresh and well-marinated which come out tender and flavorful on the grill. The variety of side dishes adds a nice balance to the meal, and everything is constantly refilled. Service is attentive, especially when helping with grilling or refills. Overall, it's a solid place if you're looking for good food, a social vibe, and a hands-on dining experience.
My friend and I ordered the Small Beef Combo for two, and it was absolutely delicious. The beef was high quality, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Every cut was excellent, especially the marinated short rib and ribeye. The portions were generous for two people, and all of the side dishes were fresh and tasty. We also loved the kimchi pancake and stew that came with the combo. A special shoutout to Tommy for providing outstanding service. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. His excellent service made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Great food, great atmosphere, and excellent service. Definitely one of the best Korean BBQ experiences I've had. Highly recommend the Beef Combo, and we'll definitely be coming back!
One thing I really appreciate is that the servers cook the meat for you, which makes the whole experience so much more pleasant -- you can just relax, eat, and enjoy chatting with friends instead of worrying about the grill. We went on a Thursday around 6 PM and there was a bit of a line, but by 7:30 PM it was almost empty. So for weekdays, if you don't have a reservation and don't want to wait, coming after 7 PM may be a good idea. Not sure about weekends, but weekday timing definitely matters. Our favorite meat was the marinated short rib -- so juicy and flavorful, almost wagyu-like, with that melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. Definitely the highlight of the meal for us. Great food, easy experience, lively atmosphere, and perfect for a casual dinner with friends.
I was craving KBBQ and decided to stop by. We ordered the small combo, and luckily the wait was only about five minutes. Food is always delicious here. The service was great our server, Chain, was really kind and checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. I'll definitely be coming back again.
Vincent helped us cook the meat to perfection and was on top of service. We got the large marinated beef and small beef for a group of 7 and it was comfortable. Got seated fairly quickly on a friday evening. Large variety of side dishes brought out fresh. Jeff was very enthusiastic and helpful with getting us more side dishes and napkins. Would definitely come again. Service was 10/10 The beef tartar had an off taste/smell to it but if you could overlook that it wasn't too bad with pears and the egg yolk. I've had better beef tartar elsewhere. (7/10)
I like getting their Hodong's favorite combo since it comes with both beef and pork. I like how there are two different sizes. The small is good for 2-3 people and a large would be good for a party of 4+. I like how they include cold tofu as one of their side dishes as a lot of kbbq places. They also give big pieces of kimchi compared to other places I go to which I like. The meat is good quality and I really like their pancakes. Their combo comes with your choice of soybean or kimchi stew. Their stews are always too salty for me. I always have to add water to it so it's more bearable to eat. They are usually very busy so service isn't the best. Parking is also hard to find especially on a Friday and Saturday night since they share the parking lot with Meet Fresh, Planet Fitness, etc. I highly suggest making a reservation during the weekend dinner so you don't have to wait too long. They currently have a bogo drink special.
This kbbq place delivers an authentic Korean dining experience especially for meat lovers. The atmosphere is energetic and often bustling, which adds to the fun but can mean longer wait times during peak hours. The parkings during the weekend can be hectic since they do share the plaza with many other stores and also the gym. They cook the meat for you so it's not a kbbq place where you cook the meat yourself so if you like that, then this place might not be for you. The meat is pretty good quality and I like how they have combo so that you can try different types of meat with a discounted price. I also like how they include steam eggs and corn cheese.
Gave them a 2nd chance and it's still mediocre. Service was not good; the waiter in the red shirt had an attitude and made us feel rushed with our dining experience. He also forgot to bring our drinks requiring us to remind them. Later, we had a different staff (Chris), who was much nicer and pleasant to deal with. He cooked our meat at a slower pace and did not make us feel rushed. Meat quality was so-so; definitely had better. They cook the meat for you, which is not my preference as I prefer cooking it myself and at my pace. It is annoying that they cook the entire meat dish all at once almost forcing you to eat all of it before cooking the next meat dish. I like to eat a variety of cuts at different times and again, more at my own pace, so this style of cooking is really not for me. A lot of their meats are flavorless. It's fully dependent on the dipping sauce and salt.
Baekjong is my go to favorite for kbbq if you want a hands-off experience and excellent service. Their meat combos make it easy to order and they come out in a careful cadence so you're not overwhelmed. Theres always an interesting deal going around so make sure to ask! Overall a great spot for a big celebration or birthday.

The ambiance is modern & you get to hear the latest K-POP hits. What I like about this KBBQ is with the good ventilation you don't come out smelling like KBBQ. Haven't been here for a while but came on a Tuesday for dinner. There was a 15 minute wait for a table for four. Staff was quick and cooked our meat well. When we asked for refills on the sides, he was quick too. Ambiance is kpop in the background with sizzling of the grills. Pretty spacious considering. We've been coming here for years and choose this place over all you can eat. Their sauce is so good with the wasabi. Their egg and cheese with corn is so good! Their sides are so good! Love the tofu and their kimchi!!!! I'm picky when it comes to kimchi. Yes, fresh tastes better to some but I love how theirs is marinated enough with flavor! We always order the beef small with soybean soup and a rice plate on the side. My daughter is a meat eater and when it comes to kbbq, this is the first place she pickAlways hits the spot! Got to try Baekjeong down in Pasadena after having tried it in San Jose. Originally we were estimated a 30 minute wait at 9:30 pm on a Saturday, but thankfully we only ended up waiting 5-10 minutes. 01/02/25 Friday Came on a Friday afternoon. It was pretty empty with a steady stream of people trickling in after we were seated. We ordered the Beef Combo and the marinated beef steak from the lunch special menu. 8/10 Beef Combo: Loved the ribeye steak and boneless marinated short rib. Brisket is nothing out of the ordinary but still tasty. Our server was nice but they cooked faster than we could keep up. I guess we should've mentioned this, but they moved so swiftly to and from our table. The eggs got rubbery at one point as it kept cooking on the grill. The brisket was burnt before we could get it off the grill. It cooks QUICK. This combo was VERY filling for 2 people. We regretted ordering the lunch special. -Kimchi stew came with the beef combo and it was WAY too salty... -Loved the tofu ban Chan. -Free refill on all side dishes and egg. 6/10 - Lunch special $18 marinated beef steak was overcooked on sizzling pan. It's drizzled with gochujang butter (which I didn't really taste) and veal Demi sauce. A little on the sweeter side. The meat was super dry and kind of tough. I personally do not recommend. All the a la carte lunch specials come with garlic rice and seasonal banchan (couldn't tell if the banchan was different than the ones offered from our beef combo though since we didn't get any extra banchan). The garlic rice wasn't bad though. I'm assuming this is a new dish since our server asked what that was and said she has never seen it before. Vent is strong so you don't smell too much when you walk out. Parking lot was full so we had to circle further away. Baekjeong is pricey, but it shows in the quality of meat, for the most part. read more
Finally got the full Baekjeong experience in Temple City thanks for Sascha (not sure on spelling) up front and Khai our server. Sascha was so helpful to everyone waiting for tables or hoping to squeeze in without a reservation on a busy Saturday night. Was a great way to start the night and had a great little conversation while waiting. On to our server and cooking our food, which is what I've grown to expect from higher end KBBQ's and was missing at this location. Food is always great, so happy to give them the recognition they deserve. Only minor issue was the japchar wasn't made the way we ordered without onions, but was taken care of so no harm. I know I know, hard to make japchar without onions, but my GF can't have them. Hope this is the norm as they are the closest location to us and would love to make it a regular stop. read more

Baekjeong is one of my favorite places to eat. ::Food:: I usually go for the large beef combo, prime boneless short rib, seasoned prime boneless short rib, and thinly sliced brisket. Every cut comes out perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. They also serve banchan, and my favorite is the cucumber. I also love their sauce; dipping the meats in it adds so much flavor. The combo comes with stew, and I usually get the beef brisket soybean paste stew, which is rich, hearty, and comforting. ::Drinks:: They have a good selection of soju that pairs well with the meat. ::Customer Service:: Customer service at Baekjeong truly stands out. Peter is consistently warm and welcoming, always checking in and making sure everything is going well. Martin and Chain are just as on point, staying attentive to the grill and table so nothing is ever missed. Dined in for lunch on 1/2/26. It was only 1/3 full for a Friday. Food ordered: Beef combo small, 4/5. The beef combo was delicious! It came with 3 meats, brisket, marinated short rib and ribeye. The waiter/waitress cooks for you so that's nice, but the grill cooks fast, so sometimes it does get burnt. I do like to eat my kbbq slower because I mix my meats with all of the sides. All the meats were delicious though. The combo comes with a soup, but it is too salty. Lunch special beef, 3/5. This was interesting because the waiters and waitresses never seen this one before. The meat is precooked in a hot skillet with this sweet sauce. It comes with garlic rice which was tasty. Wait: No wait Parking: Plenty since it is a huge lot and has a underground garage Overall, it is quite expensive for an a la carte kbbq. read more
Baekjeong is the go to place for kBBQ in SGV. Their meats always top notch. Sometime the waiting time maybe longer but it is worth the wait. The ambiance and service are great. The restaurant location is in a plaza with Meet Fresh and other boba place, so while waiting for seats, there are stuff to do to kill time. read more
