Chain was amazing, this is the second time we ate with him serving and he took care of us just as great as it was the first time! Super friendly and attentive to us

My first time at this location. We usually go to Rowland Heights locations. They offer few different combos and you can't really go wrong with any of it. Combo small is good for party of 2-3. We had 3 people and also ordered a side of seafood pancake! We left super full. Service and food are both excellent here! We always leave with a happy tummy!

We got the Hodong's combo and a seafood pancake for 3 people. The Hodong combo is a good portion for 2-3 people. Seafood pancake flavor was good, but could have included more seafood, and cooked to a bit more crispy. We had a few servers come by and help cook our meat. Chris was one of servers and was very attentive. It was lively on a weekend night, and full of energy in the restaurant. Ventilation was very adequate for a kbbq restaurant!

Current running special as of 05/30/26 -- BOGO Mocktails! This Korean BBQ restaurant is a great spot for a fun, interactive dining experience. The meats are fresh and well-marinated which come out tender and flavorful on the grill. The variety of side dishes adds a nice balance to the meal, and everything is constantly refilled. Service is attentive, especially when helping with grilling or refills. Overall, it's a solid place if you're looking for good food, a social vibe, and a hands-on dining experience.

One thing I really appreciate is that the servers cook the meat for you, which makes the whole experience so much more pleasant -- you can just relax, eat, and enjoy chatting with friends instead of worrying about the grill. We went on a Thursday around 6 PM and there was a bit of a line, but by 7:30 PM it was almost empty. So for weekdays, if you don't have a reservation and don't want to wait, coming after 7 PM may be a good idea. Not sure about weekends, but weekday timing definitely matters. Our favorite meat was the marinated short rib -- so juicy and flavorful, almost wagyu-like, with that melt-in-your-mouth tenderness. Definitely the highlight of the meal for us. Great food, easy experience, lively atmosphere, and perfect for a casual dinner with friends.

Vincent helped us cook the meat to perfection and was on top of service. We got the large marinated beef and small beef for a group of 7 and it was comfortable. Got seated fairly quickly on a friday evening. Large variety of side dishes brought out fresh. Jeff was very enthusiastic and helpful with getting us more side dishes and napkins. Would definitely come again. Service was 10/10 The beef tartar had an off taste/smell to it but if you could overlook that it wasn't too bad with pears and the egg yolk. I've had better beef tartar elsewhere. (7/10)

I like getting their Hodong's favorite combo since it comes with both beef and pork. I like how there are two different sizes. The small is good for 2-3 people and a large would be good for a party of 4+. I like how they include cold tofu as one of their side dishes as a lot of kbbq places. They also give big pieces of kimchi compared to other places I go to which I like. The meat is good quality and I really like their pancakes. Their combo comes with your choice of soybean or kimchi stew. Their stews are always too salty for me. I always have to add water to it so it's more bearable to eat. They are usually very busy so service isn't the best. Parking is also hard to find especially on a Friday and Saturday night since they share the parking lot with Meet Fresh, Planet Fitness, etc. I highly suggest making a reservation during the weekend dinner so you don't have to wait too long. They currently have a bogo drink special.

This kbbq place delivers an authentic Korean dining experience especially for meat lovers. The atmosphere is energetic and often bustling, which adds to the fun but can mean longer wait times during peak hours. The parkings during the weekend can be hectic since they do share the plaza with many other stores and also the gym. They cook the meat for you so it's not a kbbq place where you cook the meat yourself so if you like that, then this place might not be for you. The meat is pretty good quality and I like how they have combo so that you can try different types of meat with a discounted price. I also like how they include steam eggs and corn cheese.

    Bella S.

Gave them a 2nd chance and it's still mediocre. Service was not good; the waiter in the red shirt had an attitude and made us feel rushed with our dining experience. He also forgot to bring our drinks requiring us to remind them. Later, we had a different staff (Chris), who was much nicer and pleasant to deal with. He cooked our meat at a slower pace and did not make us feel rushed. Meat quality was so-so; definitely had better. They cook the meat for you, which is not my preference as I prefer cooking it myself and at my pace. It is annoying that they cook the entire meat dish all at once almost forcing you to eat all of it before cooking the next meat dish. I like to eat a variety of cuts at different times and again, more at my own pace, so this style of cooking is really not for me. A lot of their meats are flavorless. It's fully dependent on the dipping sauce and salt.

Temple city baekjeong might be my favorite location. The food came in fast and our server was so quick to make sure it doesn't get burnt. The ambiance is also very spread out so you don't feel claustrophobic. Joey is the man and he is kept is in the know with what to order! Please come visit this location because this location is beyond worth it!

I love coming to this place for KBBQ. There are different types of meats to choose from as well as combo deals. They have friend service & they are very attentive. The ambiance is modern & you get to hear the latest K-POP hits. What I like about this KBBQ is with the good ventilation you don't come out smelling like KBBQ. This is my favorite KBBQ in the SGV and it's always a treat to come here.

    Aaron D.

One of the best Korean BBQ restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley! The quality of the meat was excellent--fresh, flavorful, and well-marbled. The staff cooked everything perfectly and were attentive throughout the meal, making sure our grill was changed regularly and our side dishes were always refilled. The banchan, steamed egg, and kimchi were all delicious, and the atmosphere was lively and fun. Even though it can get busy, the food and service are definitely worth the wait. If you're looking for authentic Korean BBQ with premium meats and great service, I highly recommend Baekjeong Temple City. I'll definitely be coming back!

Maybe we got the lucky treatment but this is the first KBBQ restaurant I've been to where the staff will grill the meat for you?! It was an unexpected surprise and my friends and I were helped by different servers. They were very prompt on bringing out the AYCE meat, but we also ordered the brisket fried rice and there was an extra long delay between having our oil, wok set up and the rice, brisket being delivered to our table/being cooked. It was understandable since there were several other tables, but at that point we did wish we had the option to cook the food ourselves. For a Sunday night, there was no wait which was fantastic!

Hi there, when I check in at the counter with the hostess, can I add add a note that I may take longer than 10 minutes to walk back to the restaurant when I get the text notification ? I don't want to loose my turn again. Much appreciated. Mitchel.

Since they use Yelp waitlist, I would suggest checking the Yelp app to see your position in line so you can plan accordingly. The host wouldn't know how long to wait if you say "longer than 10 minutes". Is that 15 minutes or 20 minutes or did you…

    Are small dogs allowed?

    Service dog, yes. Otherwise, no.

Is this all you can eat?

No, it is not. You have the choice to order meats a la carte or combos.

For takeout, is the meat cooked already or is it raw and you cook it yourself at home?

Hi Andy, thank you for your support! We cook all meats at the restaurant, so for takeout the meat would be cooked already.

    Yes, super icy cold! :)

    Do they sell gift cards?

    Yes they do

    Is there Parking for diners?

Yes, plenty of parking underground. There's parking outside as well, but those get filled up fast.

    Is Baekjeong AYCE Korean BBQ?

    Nope. Good food though!

Are there waitlist or reserve ahead of time?

Hey Hao! As far as I know, they do NOT take reservations. It’s on a first come, first serve basis.

Can you ask for extra veggies to grill?

    Yes! They're all complimentary

Is this all you can eat?

No it isn't. You can order by the plate or combo. A small beef combo is $66.00 easily feeds 2 people maybe even 3. Includes 3 beef choices, a soup, and endless banchan (side dishes). The quality is higher than ayce and for someone who eats a lot of…

Every soup I've tried has been incredibly bland and lacks the deep, rich beef or pork flavor that you would expect. There's just no depth or boldness to the broth, which is especially disappointing for a restaurant where the soup is supposed to be the main focus. I came here again today with a group of coworkers, all of whom are Korean, with the majority of us having grown up in Korea. Unfortunately, we all had the exact same reaction. None of us enjoyed the soup, and the overwhelming complaint was that everything tasted bland. Even the kimchi was disappointing. The radish kimchi lacked the crisp, crunchy texture it should have, and the regular kimchi was missing the strong, punchy flavor you would expect. The interior is also very bare-bones and feels like the restaurant was opened with the bare minimum needed to operate. That alone wouldn't bother me if the food made up for it, but unfortunately, it doesn't. It's honestly disappointing because I feel like so many Korean restaurants that open in the SGV end up falling short, and unfortunately, this place is another one that falls into that category. After multiple visits, I can't say I've had a meal here that made me want to come back.
