I came in with healthy, well-grown nails and left disappointed on every level. My cuticles were butchered. They were perfectly healthy before, and now they're choppy and damaged. She also cut my nails too short despite me showing her a reference photo of exactly what I wanted -- a squared shape. She clearly didn't know how to execute it. The nail polish application is chunky and uneven. Instead of using a brush to clean up the edges, she was using her own fingernail to scrape along the sides of my nails. I had to ask her multiple times to stop because it was uncomfortable and scratching me. On top of all that -- no hand massage, no cuticle oil, no top coat. Basic steps that should be standard were completely skipped. I'm especially frustrated because I called the owner beforehand and asked to be booked with someone skilled. This was supposedly their best. I will not be returning and would not recommend this salon to anyone who values their nails or their time. This is what 'their best' looks like. Horrible.

When I came in, I immediately knew the energy was off. Since I sat down, they were saying things like "oh yeah, she was late so she can wait for us". One of the other nail techs even say "oh feel free to charge her whatever you want" to what my nail tech said "yeah I'm gonna charge her $7 extra". They didn't know I was fluent in Vietnamese. I didn't say anything because I wanted to continue to hear what they had to say about me. They also asked me where I was from and if I lived in the area. I am assuming that they're asking this to gauge what my ethnicity is. Also, they kept bringing up the fact that I was late. If me being late was such an issue, why say that it was okay for me to come and that they are ready for me? At the end of the conversation, I asked what the charges for and they said the $7 was for callous remover. I just took it as that and didn't call them out on it. Right before I left, I told them in Vietnamese that if they were going to talk shit, make sure I wasn't Vietnamese and that people don't understand them. Their shocked faces made the whole experience worth it tbh. In short, these people are probably going to talk shit about you the whole time.
