This is the first time I had Congolese food and I am very happy to say that I thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes that came out. The meat pies were so flavorful and delicious- I can eat like at least 10 of those. The chicken was good, maybe a little bit on the drier side, but the plantains on the side were amazing. The fried fish was seasoned well and I think this was my favorite dish out of all! I also tried fufu for the first time here and I loved it. The service was spectacular and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

Can't wait to try this drink straight from Africa!

Okapi Bistro was an amazing experience! My husband and I recommend Okapi 200%, this family owned bistro was a wealth of tasty knowledge. The gorgeous decor totally represented the African culture, The atmosphere was romantically fun and cozy. First time at a African restaurant and trying African cuisine so we ordered the popular dishes and wasn't disappointed and neither will you! We asked Florette lot's of questions, for food & drink recommendations all along the way, don't be shy they love answering your questions particularly about the culture. **grilled smoked turkey tails in photo remembered

Delicious food and extremely friendly owners with a cute atmosphere. appetizer platter is amazing- the beignets and wings were phenomenal. Oxtail was tender a flavorful. Red snapper amazing . Everything amazing

    Full Fish Red Snapper

Trying something new for date night. This is an awesome adventure of flavors. The red snapper is extremely flavorful with a slow building heat that will have your nose running in a good way that was perfectly flaky and superb. The fumbwa was dippy sauce that you keep eating but the jury is out as it's a little too fishy for us but we really liked the spinach sauciness with fufu. Thankful for the flo fried rice to help with the heat. Hubby loved the plantains that were crunchy canalized around edges. The beignet was the perfect touch of sweetness closure. Hubby can't wait to try the jerk chicken and other things.

My wife and I are huge fans of African cuisine. This was our first time tasting Congolese cuisine and it was delicious. We definitely will come back and try the other entrée 's.

My wife suggested this place and I have never been here prior but once I parked my vehicle and stepped inside, i completely forgot about my worries because I felt like I was at home. The lighting and the atmosphere inside is absolutely beautiful. I feel like I'm in a speakeasy but not so secretive and this place is just warm with positive vibes from the people that are here. Great selection of cocktails and all sorts of seasonal drinks and specials. Mixologists here are highly trained for what they do and are great with their customer service. They have a larger room in the back that I was not able to see that looks like it's for larger parties. My only regret about this place is that I should have came here for Valentine's day. They have a menu and a QR menu as well. Pro tip : please dim the brightness on your phone

I love that their menu changes so often each season with so many different drinks to try and they are all super inventive. I also love that they sometimes put fun little items on the drinks, such as a page from a book, a temporary tattoo, or a piece of candy. This time, they had their spring 2026 menu. I looked at their Instagram page before coming and decided exactly what I wanted. It's so fun how they write a little story to go along with each cocktail and the thought process behind it. It definitely makes the drinks feel more personal and special. We started off with the Rose Tico Conundrum (very sweet and came with a little piece of raspberry candy) and Pepe Silvia's Pickle Party Plot (really delicious, was surprised by this one). Next we tried the speciality API month drink called Gratitude in Bloom (tasted very gingery and lemony, almost like a healthy tea drink) and the Springtime Thought Crime (very strong with a hint of cherry). There isn't much seating so it's not great for huge groups but I think there is a patio. It's a pretty casual spot and great for just hanging out. The music is loud but the vibe is fun. The bartenders and servers are always amazing and super attentive. They do not serve their own food, but I think they have a food truck sometimes that you can order from and they'll bring it to you. I could be wrong about that, but the people next to us had tacos brought to them on paper plates, which looked delicious.

Not exactly festive. Enter Proof No. 5, swooping in like the culinary hero of the night. We enjoyed an exquisite tuna crudo, rich and beautifully balanced, and meatballs over polenta that felt like comfort dressed up for a celebration. The medallions with mushrooms and three sauces were excellent, layered, and deeply satisfying. And the cocktails? Some of the best crafted in the suburbs. Thoughtful, balanced, and dangerously easy to order a second. Warm atmosphere, consistently great food, and a team that delivers every time. We'll keep coming back. And back. And back.

There were air dried and roasted beets. Get the crunch from air dried beets and pistachios. Also had a Light sweet taste. Have option to add steak, salmon, or chicken. Choose the salmon and was cooked perfectly. Very flaky and moist. There is free parking on the streets and not far from the parking garage.

It's a pretty casual, tiny spot with giant TVs playing sports. There's also a bar. It's connected to Atlas Chicken so you can order from either restaurant which is nice. When I came here for dine-in awhile back, my experience wasn't great as the waiter and kitchen staff got our order wrong. We were given the wrong salad, but our waiter let us keep the wrong salad and gave us the correct one. There was also missing pizza toppings, but he still charged us for the missing toppings. We had to ask him to take off the charge. The take-out is easy and quick. They also offer their slushees (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to-go which is cool. Their pizza is Detroit style and is decent. If you don't like burnt crust edges and less sauce than cheese, you probably won't like this style of pizza. I do wish the crust was a bit thicker. I tried some of the bourbon peach tea slushee and it was refreshing! If I go there to dine-in again, I'll get one. They have 50% off pizzas on Monday so I'd like to come back for that deal.

They share a front outdoor patio and the interior is subtly divided yet connected. The atmosphere does come across as casual to match the fast casual style of Atlas Chicken. The Squares Pizza Pub side has a large bar, some back booths, and a good amount of tables. The menu has a variety of appetizers, salads, and pizzas. The pizzas come in two sizes: small (4 slices) or large (8 slices). We ended up ordering a small Sausage & Fennel Pie & Pepperoni Hot Honey Pie. I loved the flavor of the Pepperoni Hot Honey with sweet ricotta and honey that pooled in the pepperoni cups. The crust was crispy yet the center tasty doughy which is true Detroit style. Their pies have a sweeter sauce which I enjoyed as well. It was great to visit when pies were 1/2 off so we could try two flavors. Most specialty pies are $18 for a small and $32 for a large. The owner stopped by our table to see how we liked the pizza and talk about the inspiration behind Squares. This is a great addition to the Bartlett area and I'm so happy I was able to try them out!

Le P'tit was the first to pop up on my feed and immediately caught my attention due to its unique menu, historic building, and secluded outdoor oasis for the fair weather seasons. When asked where I wanted to have dinner on my birthday, the answer was easy, L'ptit! We were greeted by the Chef Chopra outside, who welcomed us and asked us to choose the seat that suited us best in or outdoors. We chose a seat outside as it seemed most guests were enjoying the nice weather in the garden. Chef Chopra introduced himself and explained the complimentary montadito, and presented the current specials. We loved that he took time to ask what brought us in, and when we said that we were building a new home in Bartlett only minutes away, he shared that although he has been all over the world he always misses good old Bartlett, IL. This is the kind of connection and service you won't find at franchise restaurants! We enjoyed cocktails, myself a dirty tini with bleu cheese stuffed olives, and my husband the traditional old fashioned and the P'tit old fashioned - both of which he enjoyed. We ordered the hummus for an appetizer - my husband never orders humus. Not a drop was left. It was so flavorful, and since I am intolerant to gluten we loved that it was served with cucumber "chips". We will definitely order this again! Our entrees were both specials - mine the steak and shrimp tower and my husband's the Birria. We could t decide whose was better. The shrimp and steak were so flavorful and beautifully cooked, and the beef and consommé of my husband's was out of this world. My takeaways from Le P'tit: We will be there - regularly, before we move into our home, and after! Have a cocktail, they are fabulous. Talk to Chef Chopra any chance you get. He has seen the world and loves to see his guests enjoying his menu and the atmosphere of his establishment. This is what supporting local is about! Enjoy your time at Le P'tit. Savor. Take a moment to slow down, disconnect from the outside and connect with the ones around you and enjoy the wonderfully and thoughtfully prepared dishes on the menu. We can't wait to be back!
