Square Pizza Pub in Bartlett is absolutely worth the hype. We ordered takeout and went with their Detroit-style pizza topped with pepperoni and hot honey and it was outstanding. Perfectly crisp edges, fluffy interior, great balance of sweet heat and savory flavor. This is truly one to not miss. We also picked up a Caesar salad and a Caprese salad, both fresh and well done. You can tell they care about every detail. Square Pizza Pub is clearly a hopping spot and definitely one to check out whether you're dining in or grabbing it to go.

I had the pleasure of trying Squares Pizza during their 'friends and family' event. Inside is nice - it's an open, connected space with their sister restaurant Atlas Chicken. It was truly their first day open so I won't give them too much gripe about the service, as I know they have some wrinkles to smooth over. Lots of delays and just not a very seamless process, but again, it's a new restaurant and with some processes in place it will surely get better. Now the food - the salads we tried were good, very fresh. No complaints on the beer and alcoholic slush we tried. And for pizzas... we tried the sausage (not bad, just a simple sausage pizza), hot honey pepperoni (absolutely fantastic! Loved the burrata on top), and the BBQ chicken (absolutely fantastic and tons of chicken). The pizzas were cooked well on top and had good flavor. I do think they're overpriced on their food. I realize cost is up on everything but $32 for a large pizza that doesn't live up to the quantity you get for a thin crust large pizza elsewhere, is just a bit steep. Either way, looking forward to trying some carry out soon!

Updated: we went back and while the service remained steady, the crust of both pizzas was terribly soggy in the center. I'm unsure if it was maybe a bad day but we will try it again, 3rd times the charm!

We dined in at Square's on a half price pizza Monday, and the food was fantastic. We had the hot honey pepperoni and ricotta pie and breadsticks. The ambiance is fun, and the service was a 10/10, generous, friendly, and adaptable. Thank you Lawrence!

Le P'tit was the first to pop up on my feed and immediately caught my attention due to its unique menu, historic building, and secluded outdoor oasis for the fair weather seasons. When asked where I wanted to have dinner on my birthday, the answer was easy, L'ptit! We were greeted by the Chef Chopra outside, who welcomed us and asked us to choose the seat that suited us best in or outdoors. We chose a seat outside as it seemed most guests were enjoying the nice weather in the garden. Chef Chopra introduced himself and explained the complimentary montadito, and presented the current specials. We loved that he took time to ask what brought us in, and when we said that we were building a new home in Bartlett only minutes away, he shared that although he has been all over the world he always misses good old Bartlett, IL. This is the kind of connection and service you won't find at franchise restaurants! We enjoyed cocktails, myself a dirty tini with bleu cheese stuffed olives, and my husband the traditional old fashioned and the P'tit old fashioned - both of which he enjoyed. We ordered the hummus for an appetizer - my husband never orders humus. Not a drop was left. It was so flavorful, and since I am intolerant to gluten we loved that it was served with cucumber "chips". We will definitely order this again! Our entrees were both specials - mine the steak and shrimp tower and my husband's the Birria. We could t decide whose was better. The shrimp and steak were so flavorful and beautifully cooked, and the beef and consommé of my husband's was out of this world. My takeaways from Le P'tit: We will be there - regularly, before we move into our home, and after! Have a cocktail, they are fabulous. Talk to Chef Chopra any chance you get. He has seen the world and loves to see his guests enjoying his menu and the atmosphere of his establishment. This is what supporting local is about! Enjoy your time at Le P'tit. Savor. Take a moment to slow down, disconnect from the outside and connect with the ones around you and enjoy the wonderfully and thoughtfully prepared dishes on the menu. We can't wait to be back!

And unfortunately for my dignity, Common Good makes it ridiculously good. Smooth, not overly sweet, and good enough that I'm never going back to pretending I just want regular coffee. Then there's the old-fashioned donut. Holy heck. Crispy edges, soft inside, and flipping phenomenal. I don't know who they're getting their donuts from these days, but whoever is responsible deserves continued employment and possibly dental coverage. The ambience at 7 a.m. is also kind of fantastic. It's basically me, the barista, and whoever is standing across the street waiting for the train. Quiet, relaxed, and just enough civilization outside the window to remind you that other people have places to be while you sit there eating a donut. Next assignment: come back in the afternoon and investigate the cocktails. I take these reviews very seriously. It would be irresponsible journalism to base my findings solely on breakfast without conducting a thorough investigation of the cocktail menu. I love that their menu changes so often each season with so many different drinks to try and they are all super inventive. I also love that they sometimes put fun little items on the drinks, such as a page from a book, a temporary tattoo, or a piece of candy. This time, they had their spring 2026 menu. I looked at their Instagram page before coming and decided exactly what I wanted. It's so fun how they write a little story to go along with each cocktail and the thought process behind it. It definitely makes the drinks feel more personal and special. We started off with the Rose Tico Conundrum (very sweet and came with a little piece of raspberry candy) and Pepe Silvia's Pickle Party Plot (really delicious, was surprised by this one). Next we tried the speciality API month drink called Gratitude in Bloom (tasted very gingery and lemony, almost like a healthy tea drink) and the Springtime Thought Crime (very strong with a hint of cherry). There isn't much seating so it's not great for huge groups but I think there is a patio. It's a pretty casual spot and great for just hanging out. The music is loud but the vibe is fun. The bartenders and servers are always amazing and super attentive. They do not serve their own food, but I think they have a food truck sometimes that you can order from and they'll bring it to you. I could be wrong about that, but the people next to us had tacos brought to them on paper plates, which looked delicious.

When you walk inside, it has a classy vibe so please dress appropriately. Women usually dress properly whereas men lack proper etiquette. Clean jeans and a button down shirt will be fine. We ordered duck breast medium rare, mashed potato la France, vitello tonnato, chicken tabaka, potato anna, and kiev cake. Our waiter was Yurii and he was very attentive. He made sure we were well taken care of. Other staff members also stopped by to ask how we're doing. Prices were reasonable for the ambiance and type of restaurant. Yes, it can be pricey. This is the type of restaurant that you would take someone for a special celebration. Food is described as European fusion. Overall 4.5. -duck breast 4 - portion size is small so be aware of that. Only two pieces. However, it is cooked just right. You eat the duck with the apple, pear, cherry, and berry sauce. -mashed potato la France 5 - it has a creamy like texture and just the right amount of spices. -vitello tonnato 5 - very tasty appetizer to start off with. You eat the slow cooked beef tenderloin together with the tonnato sauce and baked tomatoes. It should be one bite at a time. -chicken tabaka 5 - this is very filling. It can easily be shared between two people or one hungry individual. It automatically comes with mashed potatoes. The Cornish hen is super juicy and moist. You'll want to use your hands and eat every piece of meat off the bone. You can dip the meat into the peri peri sauce or adjika sauce. -potato anna 5 - this reminds me of potato au gratin but displayed much nicer. You can see the layers as you cut into it. The sauce with the potatoes was delicious. You can taste the thyme and garlic. -kyiv cake 5 - Yurii told us this is a common dessert in Ukraine. It's not sweet. It has a nice texture that cuts easily. When you first bite into it, it puts a smile on your face. It's worth getting again.

This is not going to be cheap though. If you're gonna go to this place, expect not only excellent service but not your McDonald's prices. Saw a couple of the next table come in and order a hamburger and fries. Seriously? You come to this place for a burger and fries? (Lol). I'm sure the burger and fries was excellent, but this place is not known to be a burger joint, even though it's on the menu but again, to each his or her own. I wouldn't come here just to have a burger. There are many other places that do that. Step it up a little. Come here for a higher tier of food caliber. That being said: Our server was excellent. The manager along with the chef / the wine "professor"- (he was excellent as well- extremely knowledgeable, and paired our bottle of wine perfectly with all our meals) along with everyone else who came by to check on us. But our server was absolutely attentive and great. He wasn't pushy and he was very easy-going but very astute and had all the attention to detail. So hopefully we made his night when we came to the tip. (we weren't slouches, nope.). I wish I remembered his name, it wasn't a typical name, but he was outstanding. That being said, make sure that you pack away a couple "bones" when you see the check- also make sure that you tip your waiter for the outstanding job that they do. So don't skimp on that either. So again: It isn't cheap, but a place like this shouldn't be. We had a great experience overall- Also, this isn't your T-shirt and shorts type of place. You have to dress up. No schleps.. Capeesh?!!? leave your sandals at home. Which it should be. This is an experience, not your local In-N-Out Burger joint. Excellent and tasteful decor- excellent service highly highly highly recommend.

Many of the other reviews cover the drinks really well, so there's little else to add. If you're there for "classic" cocktails, this isn't really the place (although, the foie gras old fashioned was super, sort of classic, but also unique). The point of the place is to drink flavors you've never tasted in a glass before. The BLT cocktail...literally tastes like an actual BLT (literally!)...except you're drinking it rather than chewing it. This place is so great, employees seem to really love their job. The only negative experience I've had there was related to a group of 10 or so who showed up, and this was clearly not their first stop of the evening.
