We had a great AYCE experience here. It's $40 per person for the premium option. The fish quality is great and the food comes out quickly. They feature actually high quality premium appetizers like soft shelled crab, hamachi collar, carpaccio. The fish to rice ratio is very good for the nigiri. Their handrolls are also a standout. The service is very good. I was shocked to see the restaurant so empty because it's a great value and good quality. The restaurant is very clean and there's tons of seating. It's rare to find a quality ayce sushi in the bay. I think this is one of the top ones I've been to in the area and would recommend.

Super delicious! I didn't want AYCE and thankfully was able to order off the menu. I went during lunch and the staff was very attentive. I sat near a window and was able to look at the landscaping. I had a good experience.

Went again with co-worker few days ago. Food is still great, fish are still very fresh, but service not so much. I don't mean the servers are rude, but we ordered salmon kama, being waited after few rounds of ordering, asked the same server we are still waiting for this item, and was told they will follow up. Waited long enough for us to go back so we called out another person and ask to cancel that order, promptly the server told us there is no salmon Kama today! Both my co-worker and I was surprised then a bit upset after, if you don't have that today, why don't you let us know at the moment of ordering or when we ask about it? We were not quite happy about how the first server how they handle this situation, did they even check with the kitchen or just respond to us they are making it?????

Okawa has become a regular spot for us at this point. Still such a good value imo. Even if you get their premium menu, we most certainly always pay less than if we were to go toan a la carte sushi spot. Service is great and the place is clean and spacious. Faves: spicy tuna handroll, hamachi kama and salmon kama.

Was craving AYCE sushi and found this place online. My brother and I decided to try this place on weekday lunch ($28/person). We got the regular course and ordered a bunch of rolls. This tier does not include nigiri unfortunately :( My favorite was the double salmon roll. I really enjoyed all the rolls and found that the quality of the fish was pretty good, especially for the price. Parking was easy and service was very fast. Also, inside was clean, which I appreciated. Honestly, I had a good experience and can see myself coming back if I'm craving ayce. Better than Kenzo. Check it out!

Here is my scoring card for this restaurant: 1) Location: ( 5 Point ) - Great location for customer to see and find. Great parking for street parking and back side with parking lot parking. 2) Decoration : (2 Point) - They still have the original decoration. Clean. 3) Price: ( 4 point)- The price is competitive but still a little bit pricey compare to other same stars and type food they serve 4) Quality and Taste : ( 3 point)- The quality is ok, food taste is good and portions are below average . ( must be inflation ) 5) Type of cuisine standard : ( 4 point) - The style of Japanese food they serve is pretty close to the way it was prepare in Japan. Not bad! But some dishes did have slightly modify to cater the customer's need Overall it's not bad and I thinks it's great to give it a try and let me know what you think. Go foodies Total max is 25 Score 18 Stars = 72% round up to 3 stars

Been here twice now. I think the first time, it was decent since it had just opened up and the fish seemed a bit fresher. Came here again recently and the quality is what you would think of a typical buffet. I think if you care more about quantity over quality, then you can definitely enjoy a meal here. We've only been here on a weeknight and the staff have been attentive in taking the orders, food coming out fairly quick and making sure your water glasses are refilled. There's plenty of tables and booths inside. We haven't had to wait when we walked in during a weeknight so I'm not quite sure how it would be during the weekends. Overall, if you're just looking for ayce sushi place to check out, it'll fill you up and worth checking out if you want quantity.

This place used to be "Ocean 9 Crab" not too long ago, and the restaurant space has changed businesses quite a few times prior. Now it's a sushi spot. My bf and I had dinner here on Sunday evening. We were seated right away just before 8:00pm, the place not too busy. We ordered a number of menu items a la carte including chicken gyoza, lion king roll, sashimi salad, spicy tuna handroll, hamachi kama, and several nigiri -- ebi (cooked prawn) unagi (eel), tai (red snapper), saba (mackerel). All of the dishes were tasty and fresh, but very small in size (so maybe the AYCE option is a better deal). Worth noting, the lion king roll was creamier than I'm used to, and the grilled yellowtail collar was on the salty side though I really enjoyed the flavor of this. Staff was friendly and helpful during our entire visit, and altogether we had a positive experience.

    Most appetizing dishes! HORRIBLE QUALITY!

The staffs are not happy! The quality of sushi is so horrible. My dad wants to try this sushi buffets. It's not good at all! $39.99 each and if you go as group of 6. It's 18% tips charge. It's about $240 but I rather eat half of the amount of foods and pay $240. PLEASE DON'T GO HERE!

Came here for dinner on a Monday evening with a couple of friends. There are so many tables available here, but probably only 4 tables with guests. Service here was good and the food came out pretty quickly. My friends and I ordered a lot of nigiri and a few appetizers. They have a good selection of rolls, but we didn't have a chance to try them this time. Quality of the food was probably comparable to sushi at an Asian buffet. I would have liked to see more nigiri or sashimi options. I think they also had some rice bowl options but we didn't get those either. I'd say 4 stars for the price. We will probably come back another time to try the rolls.

Another refresh at this spot. Now its ayce sushi. This is exactly like the vegas ayce sushi spots. Literally same menu and price as well. Did the 39.95 premium 1st round. Fried apps. Had the calamari, spider crab and hamachi kama. I like the spider crab. The calamari was ok, it doesn't stick to the breading as one bite pulls out the whole calamari. The hamachi kama is good but too much work. Had to dig for the meat. Next time. I would just go with the spider crab. Skip the other two. Remember this is ayce. There is fix amount of space in your tummv... 2nd round salmon maguro and tai nigiri. Very good. The fish was thicker than your ayce. Not as thick as regular sushi spots. And fried oysters. Which was ok 3rd round salmon carpaccio tuna pepper and albacore pepper. I would just go for the salmon and avocado carpaccio. Skip the other 2. 4th round. Salmon maguro and hamachi nigiri. I really like the nigiri. If I skip those others would have gone another round of nigiri. Ring ring. Tko. Got some green tea ice cream and sesame balls. Total with large Sapporo was 50 + tax + 10cash tip. Around 64 I really hope this spot survives. I see alot more peeps here on weekends. Definitely worth a try and go wild on nigiri I think I ate about $120 worth of food. Now I won't even bother with vegas ayce, I can just do this spot

No wait for my party of 4 on a Tuesday evening. Only a few other parties were dining there throughout our meal. Pretty spacious inside with good amount of seating. We all opted for the premium course which was $39.95 each, excluding tax and tip. For appetizers, we got soft shell crab, baked mussels, hamachi kama, agedashi tofu, and tempura (shrimp and mixed). Favorites were the baked mussels and hamachi kama. We were excited for the items under "signature dish" but the albacore, seared tuna, and salmon carpaccio were all just average and super tiny pieces. Miso soup and mochi ice cream were not great. Overall I think sticking with the nigiri was the move for us. We had salmon, tuna, white tuna, yellowtail, and butter fish nigiri. My favorites were the salmon, tuna, and yellowtail nigiri. The fish on the nigiri varied each round though, which I feel like isn't uncommon for AYCE spots. But the inconsistency was definitely noticed. Hand rolls were pretty good. I liked the Okawa handroll more than the island handroll. Personally wasn't the biggest fan of the smoky salmon in the island handroll. For rolls, we got the Okawa, double salmon, bay bridge, and vacation. Vacation roll was my favorite of the 4. Again, I'd probably stick with just the nigiri personally since none of the rolls particularly stood out. Service was good and food came out quicker than expected. We came in with low expectations but we left pretty impressed! It got the job done for our AYCE sushi craving so I would come back.

My husband and I are not the biggest ice cream people so it was not initially on our radar to have ice cream at our wedding, but once sampling Sugar Mamas we knew we had to have them be part of our day. They were also super sweet and let us take home all the ice cream from our tasting! The communication the weeks leading up to the wedding was a little delayed, but everything ended up working out smoothly (especially because theybhad experience working with our venue). They served black sesame brittle, guava, durian, vegan pineapple mango coconut, butterscotch, and cookie monster ice cream. All our guests loved the flavors and they ran out of ice cream within the 1 hr 15 min serving time. Sulbing is a Korean dessert café best known for bingsu, a shaved ice dessert made with an…read moreincredibly fine texture that feels closer to snow than traditional shaved ice. We walked into a clean, modern space with a casual café feel that works well for stopping by after a meal or meeting up with friends for something sweet. The shop focuses on creative variations of bingsu with toppings ranging from fruit to chocolate, matcha, and other dessert-inspired flavors, and the layout encourages lingering over a shared dessert rather than rushing through a quick stop. The biggest highlight is the texture of the shaved ice itself. The ice is extremely soft and light, melting quickly while still holding the flavors from the toppings and condensed milk. We ordered the Injeolmi Sulbing, which showcases the more traditional side with nutty flavors, and the combination of the fine ice, chewy rice cake, and nutty powder created a dessert that felt both refreshing and satisfying. The Tiramisu and Chocolate Brownie Sulbing turn it into a much more indulgent experience, with richer flavors that feel closer to a full dessert than a light treat. The presentation is impressive, with each bowl arriving looking carefully composed, and the layers of toppings are distributed well enough that you get a good mix in every spoonful. The portions are also a major part of the appeal. A single bingsu is easily shareable, making it a good choice for groups or anyone looking for a dessert to split after a meal. We found that sharing worked well, as the portion was generous enough to satisfy two people without feeling like we were missing out. Beyond bingsu, they also offer items like toast and other sweet treats, which give the menu more variety and make it a place you can visit even if you are not in the mood for shaved ice. The main thing to keep in mind is that the experience depends heavily on the flavor you choose. Some versions rely more on the toppings for their flavor, while others feel more balanced throughout. The presentation is impressive, but certain options may feel less satisfying if you expect every bite to have the same intensity as the first. The fruit-based versions, for example, rely on the freshness of the fruit to carry the dessert, while the chocolate and tiramisu versions have a more consistent richness from the base itself. Sulbing is a great spot for trying Korean-style shaved ice. The unique texture, large portions, and variety of flavors make it stand out from typical dessert shops, especially if you enjoy lighter desserts with creative toppings. The balance of refreshing and indulgent options across the menu gives you room to explore different styles on repeat visits, and the quality of the ingredients makes each bowl feel considered and well composed.

Both times I've gone were half an hour before closing and the store was packed. The first time I got the Ha Noi Mist and the Lychee Rose, the second time I got the Ha Long Sunset and a limited stock warm specialty dessert with pandan and ube dumplings in a ginger coconut sauce. The Ha Noi Mist's ingredients sounded the most aligned with my personal preferences and I got the Lychee Rose to try something different but refreshing on a warm summer night. I was hesitant to get the Ha Long Sunset since I'm not a fan of jackfruit but Eric voted for it, and also the dumplings since a ginger coconut sauce sounds weird but he said that's what he wanted. Sipping che through a straw definitely beats spooning it. Make sure to thoroughly mix the drink and crush up the ice a bit before indulging. On my first visit I didn't notice the kiosk and ordered with the cashier so I was confused at how I would know when my order is ready because I didn't get a number or a receipt, but I later noticed the screens displaying that information on the wall. I'm a big fan of pandan jelly. The red pearls can be good but can sometimes have a bit of a crunchy chew in the center. Young coconut has a good flavor but a texture that isn't my favorite. I did not like the jackfruit in the Ha Long Sunset, but the flavor wasn't strong enough to ruin the whole dessert. I feel like che is a dessert that is not necessarily expensive or time consuming to produce, and the milk tea/fruit tea prices here are definitely on the pricey end given their component ingredients. Yes I would revisit, especially when I need dessert late, but I feel that making che at home could be the cost-effective alternative.

Definitely will get this again. 3) Pina Colada: -Creamy coconut with real pineapple chunks inside. -Not tart whatsoever, you get a fresh burst of pineapple taste from the chunks, but it's largely a coconut flavor ice cream with the subtle taste of pineapple. Refreshing, tropical summer flavor. All of their ice cream is super smooth, creamy, with a velvety texture. Even putting in the freezer and enjoying 1-2 days after, still great quality. They sold out of their super cute mascot keychains, but hopefully the next visit I can get one!

Love this local place and their huge selection of flavors! Top sellers are their ube, durian, and…read morerose. Service : Order at the front and they have a online menu as well. Item comes out very quickly and they have a stamping system for your purchases. 10 stamps will allow you to redeem an item. It would be nice to have an online stamping system like cashapp or something so that customers don't have to hold onto a physical card. Deals: Happy Hour Deal Mon-Fri (1pm-5:30pm) Set 1 $8 (1 croffle) Set 2 $12 (1 drink, 1 croffle) Set 3 $17 (2 drinks, 1 croffle) Set 4 $22 (2 drinks, 2 croffles) +$2 for ice cream scoop (only 1 per croffle) I ordered the Set 2: Matcha Latte, and Strawberry Cream Cheese w/Madagascar Vanilla ice cream croffle. The croffle and ice cream were very good! Not too sweet and just savory enough. If I could critique one thing, I wish the croffle was a little bit crispier! For the matcha latte, it was a bit sweeter than I expected. Unfortunately, milk alternatives here are limited and premixed matcha lattes only have whole milk. Would give it a 5-star if there could be more icecream options that are non-dairy! Interior: 4-5 tables with seating enough for around 12-20 people. They also sell mini cakes and pints which are SO cute! I will definitely try it next time.

Now, I wasn't much of a fan of this place but my girlfriend finally showed me how to do Somi Somi…read morethe right way, and now I guess you can say I'm part of the club After you've ordered you want to take a bite of the warm Taiyaki first, then scoop up some of the soft serve and eat them together. That warm & cold combo is a total game changer! Don't believe me??? Try it!!! We went with a big group and tried a bit of everything: My Order: Cookies & Crème soft serve with Fruity Pebbles. My Sister: Matcha & Milk soft serve with Cocoa Pebbles. My Girl: Matcha & Milk combo with Custard filling and Graham Cracker sprinkles. We also grabbed a 5-pack of Taiyaki to try all the flavors. The Cookies & Crème and Custard were solid classics, and the Red Bean and Cheddar are must-tries if you want something different. But the standout was the Dubai Chocolate yummmmmy!!! seasonal flavor catch it while you can! Huge thanks to the crew for being patient with our order as some of us couldn't decide what they wanted as their toppings lol. This spot is a 10/10 for dessert in San Jose!

This location has plenty of parking and the inside is more of a grab and go spot. There is a bar…read morearea where people are able to stand and eat. There is a park across the street so it would be a great option to eat there as well. There's three kiosk to order from which makes things more efficient when it's busy. I've been living Somisomi over the years and I love the taiyaki here the most. It's so crispy on the outside and super soft on the inside. I haven't been here in a while and saw that they have a dubai chocolate taiyaki flavor so I had to try it!! My absolute favorite is the nutella one you can't go wrong with it. I got 2 taiyaki, 1 nutella and 1 dubai chocolate to try. I wish that there was more nutella filling inside there wasn't that much this time :/ The dubai chocolate one was so disappointing. It was hard to eat and it was a lot to chew. The inside was a bit dry, I think there could be more of the pistachio creme inside. Wouldn't get the dubai chocolate taiyaki again since the other flavors are so much better.
