so glad a new ayce sushi place opened up near me because I used to have to drive to San Mateo or Fremont to get ayce sushi. i got the premium dinner menu for $39.95 and it came with a wide variety of nigiri, soup, bowls, rolls, apps, and hand rolls. sashimi is limited to only 3 per person one time only which is kinda a bummer but the fish was good quality! the rolls comes out as full rolls so def don't order too much or you will get full faster. i love how they offer mochi and sesame balls as dessert that are also one per person. i wouldn't say this is the best ayce sushi i ever had but definitely one of the best in the bay area consider the location and cost! read more

This is definitely the closest to me, so when it opened i have high hope and i tried two times, six month apaprt for both pricing, and I was determined not to go back. 1. service was good. there are a lot of servers during afternoon hours when i visited both times. 2. you are only allow to order some items once. and these some items turned out to be the ones worth eating. 3. The fish is dry, it is not prime, the sushi rice is hard. This is not Japanese sushi, I do not know what this is. If a sushi place, cannot do sushi right, no use going back. I tried two times, both the same, the edge of the fish is hard, it means it is not preserved correctly, it was constantly in the air , not covered, drying. A good sushi place will cover and cut fish only when the order is there. The chef here probably too lazy to cover, put in glass drawer, take out, cut, cover and put back again, they just leave it out to dry. We had dinner here on a Saturday night. It wasn't too crowded and got seated right away. The place is brand new and very clean. The servers were all really nice and attentive. We did the premium since we enjoy eating nigiris. Overall, the food was all good. The rice ratio was actually perfect for us when we went and wasn't too much at all. I saw previous reviews about the rice ratio and was hesitant, but pleasantly surprised at how the food turned out. We tried a good variety of food and nothing was a miss, except maybe the tuna carpaccio. It was just a bit too lean for a tuna cut for us, but that could be a personal preference. The salmon and hamachi collar were definitely our favorite dishes of the night! They had so meat on it! The rolls also I had a good ratio of filling to rice. There's not a lot of sushi buffets in San Jose/milpitas areas besides kenzo and the disgusting Tomi buffet. Uhmm... where do I start? This place is actually pretty good for an AYCE. Their rolls and nigiris have a good fish to rice ratio plus their sushi rice is evenly seasoned. I also really like their big appetizer selections especially the Hamachi Kama and baked mussels. In my opinion, this place is a notch better than Kenzo and as good as an average sushi restaurant. Love this place! We really enjoyed our meal here today. Ayce premium was definitely worth it. The salmon carpaccio was delicious as were all the hand rolls. The 49er roll had just the right lemony bite. All the rolls had a good fish/rice ratio. The miso soup was very tasty. Staff came by frequently to clear plates and see if we wanted to order more. The salmon kama was perfectly cooked and tasty. The only gitch was the lemon on the 49ers roll was not cut but that was an easy fix. Will definitely be back! read more

It is one of our favorite restaurant find recently. We have been here 4 times in the few weeks and had a great experience every time. The waiters are nice and fast. I. Fought my 7 and 2 year old here and they are very kid friendly. The quality of food/fish is much better than premade sushi buffet places and on par/better than other made to order ACYE sushi places. We did the premium AYCE every time. The selection is not the biggest but enough. I appreciate that for their nigiri, they do not purposely give you a whole bunch of rice. The rice to fish ratio is perfect. I only wish they do not limit the special to one per table but do one per person instead. My husband wants the one with jalapeño but can't do that with kids. Was excited that we had a new AYCE sushi place nearby. Upon entry, outside of the door there were lots of cigarettes butts lying on the floor. We weren't greeted when we walked in and waited about 5 minds before being seated in a bear empty restaurant. Looking at the nebula there is a regular price $34.95 and premium price $39.95. Difference if premium you get a handful of more items. Sad to see that ayce place did not have any type of spider roll. You could order a soft shell crab as an appetizer but who wants that. Ordered our first round. Wasn't too Wowed. Sushi rolls smaller than most places but at least it didn't fall apart when you picked it up. We opted for the all you can eat premium menu because it seemed like it was more worth it than the basic AYCE menu. There was a large variety of appetizers and fish options with unique specialty items. I do wish the premium menu had the option to order one specialty roll. The quality of the fish was good. The salmon had a melt in your mouth type texture. The unagi was our favorite of all the options available for the AYCE. The rice however, was the low light of the meal. Been living in the area and this building is something new every year. This year it's an AYCE sushi place. It was easy to make reservations and they sat us down quickly. The service in my opinion is spread to thin. They have way too many tables and no workers to accommodate all of them. I think after being sat we waited atleast 30 minutes to order and another 30 minutes to get our order. There's a time limit as well when you're seated. Our drinks we ordered never came but we were charged. All the tables around us were getting angry and frustrated because of the extremely long wait. We ordered only twice then we realized if we ordered again we probably would have waited another hour. I've never seen such slow and backed up service. There were too many mistakes and problems that occurred. Maybe hire more workers or service less tables. Luckily it looked pretty neat inside. Everything was clean and organized. One of the better AYCE sushi places I've ever been to. The fish was fresh, the rolls were all good and the food came to the table fairly quickly. Plenty of wait staff and servers, so there really wasn't much waiting time once we were seated. Would absolutely go here again and probably do the Nigiri premium option next time, as the Nigiri all looked very fresh and delicious. Nigiri is amazing and the other rolls. -1 star because I love getting the lion king roll anywhere else but here. After trying Okawa I would have to say it alright mainly because we thought the special rolls were a bit lacking in uniqueness. Hopefully they do expand on their rolls selections in the future. We tried three different roles - lion king, bay bridge, and milpitas. They were on the smaller skinny size rolls which can be a good thing as less rice to eat but they didn't really wow my tastebuds. However we did enjoy the hamachi Kama, salmon Kama, salmon carpaccio, and the nigiris (salmon and yellow tail!) and the limited sashimi. Service was a bit slow as there weren't enough servers and you had to order with the servers but we did appreciate our server for always being so nice/calm and helpful whenever we were able to flag her down. We selected the Premium option. We did notice that the menu was smaller than other AYCE sushi places, but we wanted to see how the quality is compared to other places.
