PARKING: Honestly, everywhere in OC has parking, so yes a big plaza with lots of parking. Shouldn't have an issue. PHONE-IN ORDER: I called twice and both went to voicemail and said their voicemail wasn't set up and hung up on me. I almost tried ordering online via Grubhub because I wanted to try this place, but as I was looking up the menu the restaurant called me back! Weird, but I was glad they did. I put my order in for 3 entrees and one appetizer. They quoted me 30 minutes until my order was ready and it was in fact, ready on time! CUSTOMER SERVICE: Once I made it into the restaurant there was only 1 sushi chef behind the counter and 1 waitress/cashier/to go order/server lady. I see why my 2 phone calls weren't answered. She's literally the only one working! I felt bad, but it's also not her fault, they should have more people on staff even during COVID. That's where I docked one of the stars, otherwise this place was a great first experience! FOOD: $6.45 TAKOYAKI: it's hard for this dish to be perfect when it's not eaten fresh. With that said, the flavor was good. However, it was mushy because it was sitting in a to go container on my drive home. A little too mushy? But I still enjoyed it. There is very little TAKO (squid) inside these balls. I maybe had 2 small pieces inside the one I ate and everyone else said the same. So that kinda sucks. We're really just eating fried dough at this point. $21.95 CHIRASHI: This is assorted sashimi on a bed of sweet sushi rice. I LOVED IT! Their portions are HUGE! Since I took it home, I weigh all my food and it came out to 8 ounces of fish in total. Half of it was just salmon (3oz to be exact) and 1oz of every other fish. In case that helps anyone besides me lol. I also love that they give you thinly sliced red onions and a side of pickled daikon (radish). It's a small, but nice touch. They also do not skimp on the Masago (small orange smelt fish eggs), they gave me a mountain! Would definitely order this again. $3 FRESH WASABI: Added as a side dish to my chirashi bowl. It was so delicious! TRY IT and thank me later. $18.50 THREE ITEM BENTO: Pork cutlet, salmon roll, sashimi (salmon & tuna). Comes with rice, side salad, and miso soup. I did not eat this one personally, but I tried a bite of pork cutlet and it was spot on! The person who ate this dish said everything was wonderful and they'd definitely order it again. Also, this was the biggest portion of all the items we ordered. They couldn't finish it. $9.95 RAMEN: Comes with Cha siu and your choice of sauce flavor between TONKATSU, SHOYU, MISO. PROS: Yellowtail delight was delicious, the tempura flakes were a nice touch for additional texture. Crispy rice was really good, loved their spicy tuna. Hot Night roll is a go to when I want spicy tuna, which was a plus because it was really good. Teriyaki chicken was tasty, and their portions for the combo were generous. CONS: I hated that they left the skin on the Salmon belly, and it just did not taste right. I will definitely go here again. We had a couple questions regarding which rolls and other dishes to order and our servers Vince and Ralphie were extremely helpful. Stumbled upon this "pleasant surprise" on the way from Home Depot. Can't believe not being aware of this "cheerfully praised" place that sits in the same complex as Vons and Green Tomato Grill. Sushi was excellent, still moist after a long wait and in great rice-to-fish proportion, and the roll was pleasantly filling. Overall impression was great as this trip has been on par with one of the best experiences I had in the past for a sushi or sashimi takeout. This joint is such a gem! First of all, our server was amazing on all aspects. He was so friendly & attentive. I didn't get his name, but he had black glasses. As for what we ordered, my friend got the spider roll & spicy tuna roll which were both good. The fish quality tasted fresh and our food came out fast. I ordered the garlic albacore roll which is a riceless roll, I was apprehensive at first but my server said it was one of the most popular. It had garlic chips, red onions, and a sauce which was so good. I really loved this roll and it's different textures & flavors. I ordered myself a small Sapporo, mixed tempura and eight pieces of nigiri and four pieces sashimi (a sushi combination). The beer was cold, the tempura was perfectly cooked and the cuts of fish were generous and fresh. I was very impressed. If I have to point out a negative, it would be for the chef to include a bit more rice for the nigiri sushi. As you know, the rice is almost more important than the fish. The service there is great when they see you they seat you as soon as possible. Anytime I have gone to Oki Doki Anderson has been my server and he is so nice to me and everyone else there. Anderson also always has a smile on his face Anderson is one of the reason I always go back there. There food also taste so fresh and I recommend trying the pink lady roll, yellow tail collar, and if you like spices there spicy garlic edamame is perfect! There Ambiance is simply the best it's very calm and the music there is too high so you can hear yourself when you talk which Is always great! We've just moved into the area and we've been keeping an eye out for restaurants near our local grocery stores that we frequent. Oki Doki Roll & Sushi was one of those places that we definitely wanted to visit when we got the time and tonight was the night! We ordered two rolls: Hungry Roll for $14.99 and one of our personal favorites, a Salmon Skin Cut Roll for $6.99. The Salmon Skin Cut Roll had 6 pieces of normal sushi size which is typically on the smaller side as rolls usually come in at 8 pieces from our experience. There was a good amount of Salmon Skin, cucumber, something pickled red, and surprisingly a small touch of avocado! The only bad thing we have to say about this roll was that some of the Salmon Skin ended up getting burnt in the cooking process so 2 of the 6 pieces were borderline terrible tasting of nothing but char - but if you're into that thing, you can find it here! The Hungry Roll was surprising given the $15 price tag. And surely, as you can see by the picture, it is massive. The flavor was good, but left us wanting more. We ordered the roll expecting eel to be highly prevalent but not every piece had some. On top of that, the shrimp tempura was missing from half of the roll! Another downer. 50% of the roll was made up of the imitation crab mix. To be fair, there was a couple pieces that had all the components listed on the menu and those were quite tasty - still crab mix forward though lacking eel flavor all throughout. If the food review was disappointing, let me tell you that the service was just as bad... worse actually. We placed the order and sat for a good 30 minutes waiting. We kept our eye on the staff putting together the to-go meals and noticed huge errors on her part in organizing the operations. The same item would be taken out of a bag, then put back in... then taken out... and yet again put back in - we surprising witnessed this action take place for a number of items, sometimes repeating this in-n-out fashion upwards of 4 times. Now I don't know who to blame here, but as a hungry duo, we disappointingly kept watching as our food was left to the side and our names were not called. Multiple people had come in during that time to either pick up or place an order and regardless of the length of the line, the phone calls took priority and people were left to awkwardly stand in place waiting their turn.We believe Oki Doki is due for some additional training and possibly an additional staff member during rush hour times. Overall, Oki Doki has earned 2 stars in our book. We won't be going back, and that's okay doh...ki. read more

I ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl with no onions and a mexican roll for my dad. my dad loved his Mexican roll but the chicken teriyaki had no teriyaki at all. My dad calls to let them know and they are arguing with him that there was teriyaki on it. I tried to eat without the teriyaki but couldn't since it was so dry. We got soup instead of teriyaki.
