Was there this past weekend and was seated quite promptly for it being a weekend but our waiter took more than 15 minutes to acknowledge us, then we made hand signals to another waitress (long blonde hair) and she told us to calm down with her habd gestures then continues to talk to our waiter and began laughing! Frankly I could care less about the negative reviews about the loud music. What a perfect atmosphere for a date night with my boyfriend. Claudia and Erick were killing it. Surprised they weren't the owners considering how much they went above and beyond for us. From the greeting when we walked in the door to the time we left. This place really knows how to accommodate and make sure you're having a great time. Visiting from across the country and had so much fun. What a great stop on a Wednesday night. Vibes are great but their drinks are NOT. They're very watered down, all you'll be safe with here is with beer. Their food is okay but I wouldn't spend money there besides appetizers. I like the vibes, they have a DJ on most nights, can't dance but it's great for the ambience for all sort of sports. So the good: The food and drinks. Soo good. We had Paloma's and the El Pepe. Really good and they don't skimp on the alcohol in them. The food we had the ola trio tostada, the El Paisa tablon, and the octopus. The food was great and we went home with soooo much just cause the portions are very good and my husband always over orders. The octopus is a new item that we saw on their instagram and it's good! We were surprised at the spice level but the ceviche from the tostada balanced it. And the green sauce that comes with it! That's booomb! And the Dodger game was on so that was great! The bad: Okay so my husband and I both agree that it's just not our vibe. We went for my sister in laws bday and it was her choice. I just hate being at restaurants where I have to yell at the person next to me or the wait staff. It's soo loud. Came here on a pretty busy Saturday night and the service was good. It was just 2 of us in our party we order a shared plate that had nachos, taqueria, and quesadillas 2 waters and 1 beverage. We placed our order and the waitress told us the kitchen was a little backed up after placing our order about 15 minutes prior. Total our plate took 30 minutes to come out. Didn't know what to expect do in part to the name of the restaurant.Once I got the menu it became clear to me that's it's a Mexican restaurant that also serves pizza and burgers.I like a menu with plenty of food options.We ordered the taco plate and a pastrami pizza.Food is good.My date ordered their coconut margarita which is huge but it lacked the alcohol and was very sweet. So last night I was a bit upset , ola has things idk misorganized it seem like theirs been other nights I go and it's EXTREMELY PACKED & they got it all together and situated but last night was a mess they told me 35/45 min wait & 35 min pass so I went to check on my seating and the girl told me their was 3 people ahead so your looking at 35/45 min still like wtf alright I didn't have a problem since your usually able to go to the bar and buy drinks while you wait welll let's just say last night they stopped me from it the bouncer told me no after I literally pointed out a couple just came out from the bar and got drinks and were sitting inside waiting to get seated while they made us all wait outside nonetheless after I told the bouncer about them he made them go outside after he denied me still to go to the bar to get a drink ... he said it was too "packed" mind you been here other nights where the bar has a line to order drinks and I took them outside to wait while we get seated but last night what made it so different it wasn't nearly as packed as other nights ... not only that I seen them seat a couple before us so they were playing favoritism as well I seen the couple come in went to put their name down but because some of girls knew them they say them down instantly which I get it , I really ain't that mad but cmon have the audacity to do it kinda secretly or atleast seat us down right after I clearly noticed yaa got them a seat before us .... Came here a few weeks ago for a.late breakfast around 11, got the Jamon Con Huevos plate was so good, felt good so decided to get some drinks, got the Mexican Candy Flight was unbelievable so good. The service was good and prompt, the food tatse delicious and it was a good portion for what you pay for. I just got back from ola in covina. We were greeted by a host and then we were seated. We had drinks and had some appetizers. We later found out that the host who was at the front was a cool guy. His name was Alex and is a manager. He socialized with us and hanged out with us. He actually cared about our stay and wanted know more about us and was very attentive. I really enjoyed his company. This is for server Karensita, Karensita, it's ok to forget things, we are humans and stuff happens..but when you constantly do it at the same table and blatantly act like you didn't "know" what we ordered, its not cute sweetie. Gave you the benefit of the doubt multiple times this visit and you were not good at your job. Forgot our drinks, forgot 3 entrees at our table of 12ppl, and charged us for a bday shot that my friend didn't even ask for on her bday. YOU offered it and brought it out, so why wouldn't it be complimentary? Also never refilled our waters the entire stay. What pushed me over the edge is you guys hand guests their food instead of placing it down yourselves. Then you didn't warn my friend AJa (who also wrote a review and has pics attached) about a sauce on a plate, handed the plate to her tilting it and the sauce flying off only to hit her in the neck and spill ALL OVER her dress and spilled on me as well. I did not have a lot on me but Aja was covered in the sauce. I know you witnessed it but you decided to act like you had "no idea" and also told that to my friend Aja when she confronted you. Then the icing on the cake was being ignored by you the rest of the time, I'm sure you were embarrassed by how horrible your service was and avoiding the conflict at the table. Your 2 managers (Camille & Luis) also wanted to avoid us, which makes sense where you learned your shitty hospitality from. We witnessed you talking to your two managers and obviously talking shit about our table when you created all this chaos. And the cherry on top was when you came back to the table to drop of the check of course and said "I would like to hold myself accountable and say sorry for what happened BUT my managers and I checked the cameras and you dropped the sauce on yourself" then you put the check on the table. 18% gratuity added to the bill of course even though you single handily ruined the whole dining experience for my friends bday. Going forward, learn to do your job and do it correctly. I observed you barely interacting with our table and barely interacting with your other tables. You were not busy, all these things I've stated above could have been avoided. It's easy to serve a large party if you know wtf you're doing. A good server knows when to refill waters, apologizes for forgetting things, doesn't forget 3 dishes of food, and does NOT tell a guest that they "dropped the sauce on themselves". Next time, leave the recovery of a table to the managers and keep your mouth shut instead of making matters worse. You are a horrific server and I really hope you get better or change professions. My last review was one star. Today it's a 3. To be honest I wanted to leave it at 1. The evening started out good. I didn't catch the waitress name but she was very attentive. We had 2 other people throughout our visit bringing either drinks or food and a 4th who came with the bill. This is where service took a nosedive. I'm not sure if they try to scam people who pay cash or this girl legitimately can't count. Our total was 42.15 and I gave her $45 dollars. (My friend and I will split the tip after payment) This girl returned with $1 for our change. I told her my change is 2.85 and she then told me no it's not because we round up. Hmm. You want to round UP my bill? She said she'd have the manager come over and explain. I figured this ought to be good, so I said ok. Manager never showed up and the girl returned with her phone to show me on the calculator how I'm owed $1. After her calculations...voila... it said 2.85!! I said yes, and you brought me a dollar. She still would not admit the change was wrong so I decided to leave and yes, I did not leave a tip. I've never done that EVER! But since she wanted to try to convince me my change was less than what it should've been I did not feel bad. As we walked out another waitress came up to me and handed me $2. So they knew they were cheating me out of my change? I tried to give this place another shot. Three years later and this is what happened. Review: Saturday 2/22 Visited yesterday with the family for the first time. We were greeted and seated right away. They were showing the boxing fight and charged $10 a head. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. For the fight the restaurant was packed out. Mind you we had our twin babies with us and management insured us it was a family establishment. They took good care of us and we all had a great time. Food was flavorful, fresh, and good sized portions. Forgot to get a picture of our nachos but they were really good. I've worked over a decade in the service industry and this is by far the worst service I've ever received.... As the server handed me my dish, the entire plate fell on top of me... dress, hair extensions, everything was soaked. We immediately asked for a manger to come to our table. It took 45 mins for a manager to come to finally discuss the problem (as I was covered in whatever sauce they put at the very edge of the avocado toast plate). The male manager simply took my plate and walked away without an apology or explanation. I had to personally approach the blonde female manager the front desk. Her excuse, when I confronted her, was that she "had other guests to seat". Then asked me how I wanted to handle the issue because they'd be happy to pay for my "dry cleaning bill". The same manager then instructed the server to tell me that they reviewed the cameras and it must have been my fault that the dish spilled on me. Additionally, our party was missing a dish and also received a cold dish later than everything else (the tater tots)... and the server chose to lie to us and say that it was because multiple people ordered the same dish and we must have sent it back. Lastly, our server offered a free birthday shot to our guest of honor and we got charged for it THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! read more

My friends and I were meeting for a late dinner, with few downtown Covina options that are open for food late on a weeknight, so we tried this place. The vibe is sports bar combined with Miami nightclub. There's a DJ, big-screen TV's and neon everywhere, and super-loud music. We sat outside so that we could hear each other. The soft tacos were pretty good (al pastor was the best of the 4 meats). The drinks were OK (they served my friend 3 different versions of the same exact drink that she ordered; talk about "artistic license" -- lol). Our server (Erick?) was incredibly nice and gracious and friendly. However, now that I'm looking at my bank account, I see that someone added $3 to my bill. My bill was $25.00, to which I wrote in a $5.00 tip (20%), yet my bank charge says $33.00. (I have a copy of my receipt, so I know what I paid.) Looking at some of the other reviews here, it looks like this sort of thing is not uncommon. So, my advice to you, if this type of place is what you're looking for, is to pay with CASH, not a card. read more
