Nancy was amazing! Nothing bothers me more than not having a filled jamison drink. She checked often to ensure we were doing well and kept us acohol hydrated. I loved the atmosphere, the music, the open bar, and just the overall crowd. We ordered the sopes, seafood tacos, micheladas, jamisons, asada nachos, aguachiles, and every drink and dish was delicious! Caution --the asada nachos will literally feed 4 is people. It is easily a 20" dish. Be mindful because we ended up throwing away well over half of the appetizer since we ordered additional dishes. I'm definitely returning. Goodbye El Pescador! read more

Starting this off by saying, this restaurant opened up fairly recently so I know they have some kinks to work out. Their drinks are over the top, huge, and fun. I ordered the Love Potion. It was sweet, and not for everyone but I enjoyed it. It comes out bubbling like a witch's brew in a cauldron. I also tried the mango chamoy drink. It really liked it. I liked the aguachiles, but some people at our table thought they were too sour. Their tacos are good, and the green salsa packs a punch. Would not order the pizza again. The picture in the menu is deceiving. It showed a thicker pizza with tons of meat. The pizza we got was super thin and with very few pieces of meat sprinkled about. The only good things about this place were (1) how well put together the menu looked and (2) our waiter's friendliness and service--he made sure we had water at the beginning and end of our meal. The hostess and server, however, are a different story. The hostess gave the "apathetic" vibe with how bored she seemed when she checked us in--no "hello" or "welcome," just staring blankly and waiting for us to initiate telling her that we wanted to dine there. At least this restaurant takes your temperature, which is good practice, and they have outdoor dining along the street, like several other restaurants in the area. After we ordered, the wait wasn't too long. But our server was in such a rush to bring the food over that she dropped off our food and ran off immediately without asking if we needed anything else (we did not have the utensils to actually eat our meal). Another server brought utensils when he saw me look around and start to get up to ask for some. The food itself was nothing to die for, but it was edible. On top of everything, they (perhaps the at-first-more-highly-esteemed waiter?) charged my credit card an additional two dollars to the already sufficient tip. The initial tip that I authorized was already at least 20% of the meal cost. I discovered they increased my tip amount two days after eating at the restaurant, when my "pending" charge posted to my credit card activity, now including the tip amount and higher than what the total should have been with my actual tip. This business apparently does not operate ethically with regard to the check. I won't waste my time to dispute a measly two bucks, but it's still not right. Figured others should at least know about avoiding this place though, which is time better spent. There are several other restaurants in Downtown Covina, so it's definitely not a loss to avoid this place completely. read more

Food and atmosphere is always great here I'm not a michelada fan but the mix they use here is amazing!! The mimosa flights with brunch are great but nothing prepared me for the new beer mountain beach with michelada wow hands down this is the best combo I've ever had. No vegan options :( even their beans have meat and customer service is very poor took a good 15 mins for our server to come around.

UNLESS YOU'RE A REGULAR HERE , this is the place to be because if you are not you will get TREATED Different & LESS!!! "Little people belittle people. Great people make people feel great"! To begin with at first I had told the Male Manager on the heavy side that people were going in before us when we got there before all of them & he replied "they have a table already"?! , so I let that slide... Then we started noticing the same pattern and we waited for a good minute until the bouncer with the bald head on the heavy side by the host stand took a couple in that came way after us. I guess because the regular male gave off an appearance of LL COOL J. Right away after he did that he turned to the host and said to her "I LIKE TREATING THE REGULARS FIRST"!!! As loud as it was in the restaurant last night I clearly heard that come out of his mouth. I questioned myself and asked myself was I just BELITTLE this whole time?!!! I immediately ask for a manager and sure enough the female manager came to my situation. I informed her what was going on and what her bouncer had said and she immediately apologized for the inconvenience and got on her team right away. She came back and informed us that that was not acceptable unless it was a family member but other than that no, so then She took care of us by making us to be next on the list and she did. We got called to be seated and our table wasn't even ready so we waited for the host to get it ready. By this time I wanted to leave but because it was already 11 at night and had wasted majority of our night dealing with this we decided to stay and make the best of it... We sat there and waited and waited and waited for about 15-20 minutes . Until I got the female servers attention that had glasses with red hair that was standing behind me if she was our server and she said no , she immediately asked if we had been helped and we said no.
