Local spot that is cozy, warm, and always a good meal. I came here with my book club and they were gracious enough to give us individual checks, which I know is such a pain for places to do, and it was much appreciated. I had a clam and chorizo appetizer which was very tasty, then the fish and chips for my entree. I've had the fish and chips here before, but this time was a miss. The breading was still wet and not fried through, so that was disappointing, but everyone else enjoyed their meals. For dessert I had a brownie sundae which was super delicious. Definitely will be back soon!

Perfect stop for a cozy winter dinner. We sat in the bar area. Nice fireplace, friendly service, great food, great music. Can't go wrong. Caesar salad is a must.

Good old neighborhood meeting place with fine dining to cozy comfort food by the fire. Great place into spend with our family and friends on a cold rainy night. Cocktails and dinner were awesome, as always over the years!

Stopped in here one day. Loved the ambiance, the friendly wait staff. My waitress was extremely knowledgeable and knew all the specials and details of the specials off the top of her head. Good was great. I would definitely recommend the Bulgogi Popcorn Chicken. It had nice kick to it and was extra crispy. It is an appetizer but the portion size is for a full meal. If I am ever in the area again I would definitely revisit.

We got a booth table and just soaked inthe vintage decor, think 1959. We loved it and we felt right at home. Our server was attentive and we had the special that night which were really good. Plated beauty and tasted delicious. They let us take our time it's a busy place. We will be back soon .

Been here many times for both lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. Portions are large and well cooked, service is attentive, atmosphere is cozy and the restaurant is very well kept and clean. My only negative comment is that it is a bit pricey for what it is but if you do not mind shelling out $22.95 for a burger at lunchtime you'll love it here

Old Fields is as classic and comfortable as a warm sweater, and the food is impeccable. I love the old-school tavern vibe, and the steaks are out of this world. When I first went this year with my wife and friends, I had the Flatiron steak with original 1956 marinade. I enjoyed a solo dinner recently by the fireplace, and wanted to try one of the other steaks, and the knowledgeable waiter recommended the marinated skirt steak, which was so good I finished every last bite. The fried pickles, mashed potatoes and creamed spinach are amazing too. Cocktails are terrific, I've had a strong and gorgeous Manhattan, and an exemplary bourbon and prosecco cocktail whose name escapes me. Anyway, Old Fields is wonderful.

So for years I've driven past Old Fields and never stopped in and that was a mistake!! What a great meal we had to celebrate our 20th Anniversary. From the second we walked in I LOVED the ambiance, the old tavern feel and the cocktails were delicious. Staff was outstanding as was the starter...we entree was delicious and the portions were more then enough on everything. We've been missing out and now we know....

Customer service at old fields is spot on from the bartender Ron to the hostess at the front desk! Came in on a Saturday evening and was seated immediately! Why the 3 stars it's basically my critical critique on the food. To start off the old fashion made by Ron the bartender was simply Devine would highly recommend it. We ordered 1. Oyster 1/2 doz : was good as expected 2. Beet and goat cheese : The candied pecans or walnuts was the star of the dish - the beets tasted as if they were picked and not roasted fresh (tiny cubes) - odd assembly- combined taste good 3. Porkchop: I really wanted to like this dish but it was not cooked to expectations - the meat was a bit undercooked in some areas and the rest was a bit dry - again the overall taste was good- too much greens on top made the porkchop soggy. 4. Flat iron: now this was made perfectly ! Taste was amazing no sauce needed ! Juicy and cooked to perfection(med-rare) I would highly recommend this dish. We will try this place again with different items on the menu! See you soon

There are no signs anywhere letting customers know that 20% gratuity is included to the bill no matter how small or large the party is (it was just 2 of us). That is illegal. A restaurant has to have clear signs indicating the charge. 3. Ordered the grilled meats for 2 and asked if sweetbreads can be added to the platter. I was told - absolutely. Instead we were given a whole extra entree of sweetbreads and charged accordingly. One other unpleasant situation was with the appetizers. We ordered the appitezer sampler which is huge. After about 15 minutes of enjoying it a waiter ran up and with the words: "Do you want this to go?? THE FOOD IS COMING! THE FOOD IS COMING!!" Grabbed the platter as I was literally halfway into grabbing a piece of calamari..

The elegance is nice. Service (4/5): Understanding that the restaurant was extremely busy this day, we did not get the best service. They forgot to give us the table bread which we had to ask for after our appetizers came. They knew we were sharing everything so it was nice that they had pre-sliced everything and provided us sharing plates during the meal. Food (4/5): This is review is specific for their Mother's Day fixed prix menu ($125/pp which btw is $115 for Father's day 2026). Sad to say overall, the price point was not worth the food we received, as it was way overpriced. Potato bread (6/5): This is one of the best table bread I've ever had--the softness and flavors are so good that I would sacrifice stomach space for 5 servings of this! Use the leftover butter for your steaks! Blue Point Oysters (5/5): Super fresh! Delicious Lobster shrimp wontons (4/5): Wonderful presentation just okay on flavor. Lukewarm upon serving. Red Roof Roll (4/5): The portion of fish was pretty generous! Tasted fresh as well. They were out of the 38oz porterhouse for 2 by 7p. New York Strip Steak (4/5): Cooked as requested, however not enough fat to make it melt in your mouth as the cuts were a bit too tough. The dry aged taste was great. Filet Mignon (4/5): I don't think this piece was as good as I remember. It needed their house steak sauce to give the dish any flavor. Pork Tenderloin with Carrot Puree sauce (2/5): Each piece was tough, not much flavor to it, carrot sauce did not give it any more flavor. Scottish Salmon (5/5): This was my favorite dish of the 4; it was juicy and had lots of flavor to the butter sauce. Crème Brule and cheesecake were wonderful. The carrot cake was dry and half of it was leftover.

As a true connoisseur, you know that the distance traveled is often a small price to pay for culinary perfection. Making the trek from Brooklyn was a pilgrimage that paid off in every bite. Dining at this establishment is less of a meal and more of a choreographed performance where every ingredient plays its part to perfection. Several dishes merit special mention. The evening began with a Watermelon Salad that redefined refreshment. Each vibrant cube of melon arrived with a crisp, crystalline texture, cleverly balanced by salty flourishes and herbal notes that felt like a cool breeze on a humid evening. It was followed by the Sweet Chilli Shrimp, a dish that struck a delicate chord between fire and honey. The shrimp were plump and oceanic, draped in a glaze that hummed with a sophisticated, creeping heat. Then came the crescendo: the steaks. The Wagyu was an absolute masterclass in decadence, possessing a buttery marble that seemed to dissolve upon contact, leaving behind a rich, lingering umami. In contrast, the Ribeye offered a more rugged, soul-satisfying experience--perfectly charred, deeply flavorful, and dripping with an earthy intensity that only the finest cuts can achieve. To close, the Floating Island and Tiramisu were a dream rendered in sugar and air. Beyond the words, just weightless finale to an otherwise powerful gastronomic journey. With a party of four, the portions were quite generous. We even had leftovers to take home and revisit the exceptional flavors the next day." Whether you are coming from around the corner or making the drive from Brooklyn, IMC delivers a level of hospitality and flavor that makes every mile worth it. Try it - you won't regret the trip. I. The bar area is separate from the main dining room and feels like its own space, with a large bar, a few small tables, and seating along the windows. It was fairly lively for a Thursday night. The bartenders were fun and engaging, clearly knew many of the regulars, and did a great job keeping the energy up. While there are no formal happy hour deals, they do serve complimentary chunks of parmesan, which were very good. The cocktail and wine menu is fairly extensive. We only ordered a small starter (fingerling potatoes for $13), but the dinner portions we saw looked generous. I enjoyed a glass of Malbec (~$15) and generous pour. Prices are closer to New York City pricing, though the portion sizes may be enough to share. When you enter the restaurant, you pass a large patio with tables, which would be especially nice during warmer months. I remembered the restaurant so fondly and I've always wanted to go back since I moved out of LI. This weekend when I was visiting with my husband, I wanted to take him there because of how great it was the first time we went. We were able to grab a reservation for four people at 4 PM (which is pretty tough otherwise). Our server was nice and drinks were good but it didn't feel like that elevated experience that I once had here. The most disappointing part was that all of the food lacked so much flavor. We ordered the frito misto, the taglioni? (Pecorino cake style appetizer), salad, pappardelle, NY strip steak, roasted chicken. I felt like everything but the taglioni and salad lacked so much flavor and depth. I recall enjoying their food and having such an extraordinary experience the first time around, and this just felt like really basic food at a premium price point. I'm hoping it's a one off thing based off of circumstances outside their control, but I don't think I'd be going back anytime soon
