    Chicken Wings - 12 Piece

Came here for men's night with good friends. I love the food here, we ordered some chicken wings to share, and burger and steak for mains. We got couple good recommendations from the waitress for the drinks. The food come in relatively slow, but it is okay. We enjoy the environment, not too loud and very chill.

Stopped in on a Saturday at noon and there was no wait. Plenty of seating in the section next to the bar. By 1pm the place was pretty full. Came for just the food after going to the Balloon Museum. Started with the fried zucchini. Zucchini was shaved thin and had a pretty crispy breading. There was a nice touch of lemon that added a brightness and a hollandaise sauce. I wasn't sure if the sauce had broke but there was quit e a bit of oil on the plate. The sauce broke as it was quite oily underneath. Overall was pretty tasty but the large amount of oil underneath was not the best. For entree ordered the burger of the week. It had I believe pimento cheese, Giardiniera, crispy onion and tomato. The burger was cooked to my ordered temp and the patty was large. The patty was very juicy, the brioche bun was buttery and the cheese and giardiniera added a little heat. Was a great tasting burger. The fries were breaded and were crispy with a nice garlic flavor. I usually don't like breaded fries but these had a nice crisp to them and the garlic flavor was great. The burger here was great and the portion size was big as well. There is street parking in front, inside was nice and spacious and they are kid friendly.

If I lived nearby, I would definitely visit OIB at least once per week! For now, I'm settling for a branded t-shirt and fond memories. At 4pm on a weekday it was already bustling, and this place is popular for good reason! The entire vibe and the staff are just super cool. Even the bathrooms are an experience, with heavy metal music blasting in a way that just adds to the unique charm. To drink, I tried the lucky linny and blood orange sour, which were both fantastic. I'm not typically a huge beer person, but after this visit I'm well on my way to crossing to the other side. For the appetizer, we split the cheese curds. I really liked the Korean inspired twist and the kimchi aioli served alongside. I think it could've used a little more salt and arrived warmer for a nice cheese pull, but otherwise it was enjoyable. I opted for the double cheeseburger as the main event, and it was really well done. The beef was juicy, perfectly cooked, with ample high quality cheese and caramelized onions. I think the sauce could've used an extra something, but overall it was a great burger. Great experience all around. Can't recommend highly enough and look forward to returning soon!

Old Irving Brewing is an amazing brewery and definitely one of my favorites in the area! The food and drinks were on point -- the fries with Parmesan garlic were absolutely delicious, and the burgers and wings were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The service here is also excellent. The servers are friendly, fast, and efficient, and they make sure you're taken care of without having to wait long. The atmosphere is fun, relaxed, and perfect for hanging out with friends or enjoying good food with good drinks. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for great brews, great food, and great service all in one place!

I have been wanting to try this spot and the wait paid off. The food was delicious and came out so fast! I cannot recommend the beet salad enough- it was shared amongst 4 of us and still so filing. The pimento mac was also an amazing appetizer. The servers came by frequently to check on our status and bring more drinks. You can definitely find a beer you'll like as they had lots of options. The seating was spread out and flexible. There were lots of groups dining- families, couples, friends, etc. It was a great family-friendly vibe. It was also cool to see into the brewery in the back.

Top notch service, beer, and amazing menu! Very kind and friendly service - I was welcomed in after trying to pick up my car from the shop next door on a 0 degree Chicago winter day while the auto shop took an early lunch and closed early. The team at Old Irving made me feel right and home and I was able to cozy up with their award-winning IPA and cheese curds... All the sorrows of Chicago winter immediately melted away

We sat at the bar- the staff were super cool! I had the wood-fired Spanish octopus and my fiancé had grilled chicken tenders. The octopus had crispy flavorful bits and soft tender meat to balance. It had a sauce that balanced the salt levels perfectly. The chicken tenders were juicy and flavorful with a lot of sauce choices! I loved the grilled option too. I would definitely come back and try the fried zucchini- looks like people are raving about this!

Stopped in as we happened to be in the neighborhood. What a find! Beer was good, food was good and service was incredible. Great atmosphere. We'll be back.

I tried to order a flight with a variety of beers I was excited to try, but most of the ones I wanted were only available in cans, and canned beers couldn't be included in the flight. Because of that, my flight options felt pretty limited, so the experience wasn't as enjoyable as I had hoped.

Nice Brewery in Irving Park. I heard the fried zuchinni bites were good here (and it's not something I would normally order) and they were fantastic! The combination of toppings/sauce with it tasted so good and I would order this again! I also opted for the surf & turf skewers, I was not mad at this choice either, they were served on top of some potatos and came with three skewers, the shrimp had a perfect char taste and the chimichurri sauce paired nicely on top! Service was okay, nothing to rave about but also not horrible. The vibes are fun, one side is more bar/high top tables and the other more dining but there are TV's throughout. Overall great place.

Everything is incredible. Food always wants you coming back for more and weekly specials change things up from their traditional menu items. Beer and drinks always satisfy. Staff are easy to talk to and give out solid recommendations if you're unsure. Street parking can be tough but it is free. Highly recommend grabbing a drink or two and definitely enjoying the fries, cheese curds or even a burger as they always hit the spot.

Heard of this place from a few folks and decided to check out the online menu before visiting and there were quite a few items that intrigued me. This is a no frills bar but a perfect after work hang out spot to just grab a drink with a friend. Chill vibes all around. Ordered the Beet Salad and the Mole BBQ wings. The beet salad didn't disappoint AT ALL. Really wasn't expecting there to be that much if it lol. But very bite was so refreshing and packed with a great combination of flavors. I was actually even more excited and Intrigued about the Mole BBQ wings. They were serviceable but just felt the mole lacked that authentic mole flavor. Also were a bit on the dry side. But overall a very solid Friday night spot!

    Do they take reservations?

No. They might if you have a very large group (10 or more), but no reservations besides that!

We got the tater tots, the focaccia, the arugula salad, the market salad, and the carrots to share. Then I tried the burger and the chicken. Finally, we had the strawberry shortcake and the cookies with malted milk and they also gave me some confetti cookies with a candle! Tater tots were fine, but in my opinion, nothing crazy although I did love the carrots and all of the salads are extremely fresh since everything is farm to table and locally sourced. They even have a greenhouse on campus that you can tour during the day. The burger was amazing- very unique flavors and again tasted so fresh! I also loved the chicken. The cookies and malted milk was insane. The only miss was the strawberry shortcake- really big basil flavor and just was too much. It's kind of in a random location so I would have to really plan to go here, but I love that they changed their menu constantly and I definitely want to try brunch! They also gave me a birthday menu for my birthday and I thought that was a great touch! Just a super relaxing place and my whole family loved it. When I asked if they were gluten-free, they informed they were not but they'd see what they could do. They came out later with a huge bowl of gluten-free potatoes. So delicious and they really went the extra mile. Other things I love about this restaurant is that they use local produce and I believe they have their own garden as well. They also had a meal that day that you could order and would benefit a local nonprofit. Highly recommend this place! Not only was the ambience great but they have several rooms, two of which you can reserve for a private party, and they also do weddings in a larger area on the property. Leslie, if you go to the back where they have one of their bathrooms, they have several small gift items available.

The bread was phenomenal. There's some type of sweet n slightly spicy chutney(?) that really gave it a pop of flavor. The slaw that comes w it was amazing as well. The carrot cake was so moist, perfectly spiced, and the right amount of sweet.
