Went last night for a shochu popup. Bartenders were extremely kind and made some delicious and desirable cocktails. They play vinyl records through the speakers. Great place to grab a drink, listen to some great music, and meet interesting people.

What I ordered: Savage & Cooke Single Barrel Selection Rye $20 Old Fashion Classic: Woody Creek 8 yr Bourbon, Demerera, Angostura $18 Price range: $20 - $30 I love this place so much that I went here two nights in a row. I was visiting LA for a short time for work. Old Man Bar has a great selection of bourbon, and old fasion cocktails. I recommend this place for the vibe. It's a great place to chill and lounge with friends or a date. The music wasn't too loud. I was able to carry a conversation without yelling. Music was playing from vinyl, a mix of instrumental funk, and another type of genre that I'm failing to name. It's a quaint space with baby leather bound booths, and seating at the bar. Low lighting is from the candles and lamps. Walls are covered with taxidermy, antlers and animals. Service was great. Shout out to Esteban for taking care me and my friends.

Record turntable by the bar...very hip.

Cool space, a little self-aware and hipsterish. Obnoxious mandatory 20% tip added on is aggressive enough to lose one star. This is on top of cocktail prices in the $17-$18 range. I don't need to have my ass kissed, but I didn't really feel welcome, either. Don't recommend if you're much over 40.

Small venue, well decorated, good drinks, meter street parking. Had an awesome time with my friends

I've been to the OMB twice for their Burger Night(s). Its on Monday, but think Sunday as well. The package deal is $33 for a beer, a shot of whisky, burger & fries. The first time I really liked the fries, thinking some of the absolute best. They were crisp, extra well seasoned & served in a big bowl with a spicy ketchup and aioli. Second time they were not as crispy but still very tasty. The burger is made of venison and pork. It's tender and delicious. The brioche bun is melt in your mouth soft. Pimento cheese is gooey and packed with flavor. Pickle spear was good too. As for the drinks, it's a Coors so NTS but hits the spot. The house whiskey served in a cute, cut crystal shot glass was smooth and smallish. Esteban, was our server both times. He's a nice guy, detailed mixologist and checked on us often the second visit. It says you are supposed to order from the bar, which we did the first visit. Last night we had table service. Either way, credit card up front to start a tab/ticket. Place is dark, antlers on the walls, vinyl playing. A couple small tables in the back by the fireplace, several two top booths and one four banger as I can recall. Our bill was $80, they include a 20% service charge and you have option to add more on closing out. Not cheap, but there is or was a Michelin starred chef next door. (Hatchet Hall) The burger is very gourmet, epic fries, two drinks, good service and atmosphere so a decent value. I would recommend for sure, but a tad pricey for my normal burger budget.

SERVICE Made reservations on OpenTable and it was free, quick, and easy. Although it was hard to get through to someone in the restaurant so you can call the hotel to add any notes for your server if needed. Really appreciated my server coming out with a complimentary birthday cheesecake and candle :) INSIDE Spacious, clean, very aesthetic. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Great for brunch gal vibes! FOOD Happy hour specials and dine LA menu available! I tried their almond trout and it was delicious, perfectly cooked tender salmon with a slightly salted and crisp skin. Plenty of veggies underneath and topped with hearty almonds. Delicious ~$30! A bit pricey for a burger which is $20 so def take advantage of happy hour specials. My colleagues say it was pretty good though and came with a hearty side of fries.

The music was good and there were not many people in the place. I'm giving four stars for the benefit of doubt. I tried one cocktail and didn't care for it. It was a tequila yuzu cocktail, Lost In El Segundo, that was pretty bitter. It was advertised as a tiki drink but it one hundred percent was not. Honestly, I hope I ever find that drink again. I will try this place again now that I know it exists. Next time a different drink and maybe it will be a little more lively. The staff was friendly and it seems like it will be a good time. Still searching for Bigfoot. Four stars for the vibe. 2 stars for the cocktail, but it was just a bad order by me.
