    Pasta Salmon & Cherry Tomatoes
    Kristy H.

I've been a long time customer of Pasta Sisters, and it always hits! My favorite is the Salmon and Cherry Tomatoes Pasta. It's tomatoey, tangy, and very light. I also tried my friend's Clam Pasta, and if you like strong clam flavor, you should definitely try this one out. Overall, the quality of the pasta and sauce is always consistently good. There's a free parking lot in the back that's part of Helms (look near Father's Office and behind Arcana). I'm usually able to find parking there!

After a three day girls trip with my sister and our daughters at Disneyland we all were craving some pasta before the long 6 hour trek home. Pasta Sisters had popped while searching and the homemade pasta + outstanding overall rating lured us right over! Plenty of seating both indoor and outside under a covered patio. Even though you order your food at the counter first you can still sit down to be served like at a typical restaurant which is what we opted for. The owner and staff were so warm and welcoming. I felt like I was entering an Italian mother's home for dinner. Hospitality was superb! I loved how they had a display of the types of desserts, drinks, and pastas for you to get a good visual of before deciding. We ordered: Tagliatelle with wild salmon, cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, and garlic (8/10) - I wished I got cream, personal preference Tagliatelle with wild salmon, cream, and parsley (9/10) Tagliatelle with wild salmon, cream, and parsley + burrata (9/10) Spaghetti Cacio e Pepe (9/10) Tiramisu (12/10) DON'T SLEEP ON THIS During our dinner we were served complimentary focaccia bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. This was the most delicious focaccia I've ever had! Fluffy and airy but gave great chew. We all couldn't get enough. I think some sprinkled salt baked into the top would've made it that much better but that's just me! You're probably wondering why did I knock off one star? Well, all our pastas were cold, as if they were sitting too long before being served. We still devoured everything but having it at the correct temp would've be phenomenally better! The manager was super apologetic and stated her cooks take pride in how they present their dishes and this could've contributed to the cold plates. Then my sister ordered an Italian affogato which they forgot about for quite some time. Again, the manager apologized and got on her staff about this. Now, when in the area again would we return? Absolutely!

Service and staff was 5/5. Such warm and friendly kind staff. This place is very dog friendly! 2 patios for dog dining. The mozzarella cheese is phenomenal. The cold caprese salad very delicious. Pasta was good. A bit pricey $125 for 3. Would come back to try additional items and for the friendly staff. Very clean and organized.

We got the 1. Clam pasta 2. Truffle 3. Salmon and tomato We all thought the clam was the best. The pasta itself had a unique texture to it. Very chewy and tastes homemade. My boyfriend did not really like it because it is definitely more al dente than al dente but I liked it. The free bread is also really good. Service is quick and space is large so the wait isn't long.

Pasta Sisters has a cozy & vibrant atmosphere that's perfect for a girls luncheon date! My friend and I came about an hour after they opened, there was plenty of seating. To add, there's tons of natural lighting to bask in and take pictures. No picture, not even the one I'm posting does their salmon & cream pasta justice. I typically enjoy my salmon very simply - pan fried with salt and pepper to season. But this dish was delicate, yet flavorful (giving a personal rating of 4.6/5). Lastly.. don't be fooled by the appearance, this portion was super filling! Also wanted to note this restaurant has a friendly staff that's knowledgeable and willing to explain any of the menu items in depth. I really appreciated the staff since my friend and I were interested in so many items and took our time narrowing down our final choices. Looking forward to trying their gnocchi and tagliatelle the next time I'm in the area :)

I've been waiting to go to this pasta place for years since it was featured on Buzzfeed's Worth It. It did not disappoint! I wanted to try their featured pasta from the show but was bummed to find out it was discontinued. However their bolognese and their spaghetti clams were delicious! The pasta was the perfect texture and each respective sauce was flavorful and tasty. A perfect date spot! 10/10

Food: Bolognese with Tagiatelle pasta and buratta: - Tagiatelle was cooked perfectly al dente and there was enough meat sauce to ensure the noodles didn't dry out - Sauce had good tomato flavor and meat - Burrata: Not recommended ): for $8 the burrata is from Sogno Toscan, not made in house. It was good, but not enough for me to get again. Stick with the pasta Service: - Order at the counter and then they bring you your food - Lots of seating inside and outdoors on 2 patios

First ever Pasta Sisters experience!! Came for a weekend lunch and there wasn't much of a wait. It's one of those spots where you order at the register and then they seat you. I am a sucker for those spots that give you olive oil and balsamic vinegar with your bread so I was sold from the get go. The pasta also was soo good. I will say don't expect any crazy flavor blasts but know that you won't come out feeling the post carb sluggish food coma after. The noodles were also perfectly cooked. I love the kind of casual vibe this spot was giving and it definitely fulfilled my pasta craving that weekend.

    Mushroom Pasta so good

Delicious pasta, service and great atmosphere. There's a lot of seating outside and inside. You order at the register, grab a number, pick a table and they'll bring your food to the you. We ordered the Mushroom Pasta, Argulua Salad and Clam Spaghetti. The mushroom pasta wasn't covered in sauce, it had a perfect hint of flavor and every bite was great. We also appreciated the fresh clams in the Clam Spaghetti and my husband enjoyed that dish a lot. We shared the Arugula salad which was a great way to start our meal but the salad alone can be a meal in itself. We'd definitely come back.

    The dessert! Yummy! All three!!!

First time here. Got treat by my nieces. You order at counter and then wait for them to bring food. I like the service if a server but it was ok nice staff . Clean and nice but only seating outside maybe a few seats inside. Food looked great I had two favorites, pesto, and forgot the name of other. Pasta was good but had better. But the dessert was heaven!! Tiramisu, Panna cotta I believe that was and then we had a vanilla ice cream and poor espresso over it so good! I would go back for sure for desserts. A good place to try .

Fancy eating, quality Italian and without the pressure too! I've been wanting to try Pasta Sisters for quite some time, but just never found myself in this area of SoCal. After watching a play nearby, we decided to stop by for dinner and we happened to do so during their Happy Hour. There's plenty of parking in the structure in the back that the restaurant shares with the plaza. You order, you take your number to your table, and they bring out the food for you. They have a point system here and lots of customizability as well as weekly and monthly specials. If I were closer, this would definitely be a place that I'd frequent often. There's limited indoor seating, but plenty of outdoor covered seating and just in general outdoor seating. Loved that there was a small jar of tiny fresh cut flowers on each table. Made it feel cute and nice! For our dinner, we got the: 1) Ravioli of the week: -This was their homemade ravioli filled with sauteed spinach and ricotta cheese. -You get the option of choosing the sauce that comes with your ravioli (either tomato and basil, arrabbiata, or butter and sage) and I took the worker's recommendation and got the arrabbiata. -Delicious tangy tomato flavor with a kick that went well with the creaminess of the inside of the ravioli. 2) Roasted Salmon Filet: -Comes with your choice of 2 sides, we got the roasted broccoli and mashed potatoes. Both were very solid. Can never go wrong with mashed potatoes and the broccoli gave a nice added crunchy texture. -Salmon filet was super moist and buttery and went great with the squeezing of the lemon. 3) Black Truffle Pasta: -Simple Italian black truffle with butter. -You can choose the pasta, so we got the fresh pappardelle. -My brother made the comment that this is just the Italian version of hand pulled chili oil noodles you'd get at a Chinese place, and I'm like, "So true!". Again, another wonderful depiction of convergent evolution. -Rich umami taste made this dish super easy to eat and addicting. 4) Cold Cuts and Mozzarella Plate: -We got this with the mozzarella since the burrata was out, but still delicious. -Comes with some arugula and a mix of speck, mortadella with pistachio, porchetta, and salame. -Goes great with the complimentary plate too. All the pasta and dough used had the perfect texture, absorbed the sauces, and had wonderful seasoning. Definitely a place where you get to enjoy the quality of the ingredients and the food without being overwhelmed by too much. Each meal comes with complimentary focaccia bread and balsamic vinegar and olive oil or you can dip it into the leftover sauce. The waiter came by and checked on us constantly, making sure we had the parmesan and crushed peppers, to see if we needed anything, and to clear away our plates. We added 2 glasses of pinot noir to our order, which is $5 during Happy Hour, but we weren't charged, so I went up to the front to pay for it. It somehow, bizarrely became $17, but oh well, I'm willing to pay it for the service. Overall, a great dining experience and can't wait for our next visit.

The pasta dishes are too salty despite it being fresh. The service workers are good and hard-working. The sauce is nothing noteworthy. Considering the price is also kind of high, so I am not sure if I would come back again. The ambiance is nice to socialize though.

Went here agin last night!! Pasta is always fresh. Service last night was a little lacking, had to ask for a couple things multiple times. It wasn't super busy either. Porcini mushroom was also a little cold but the clam pasta was super hot! Cute to sit on the patio with heaters

Magdalena, one of the owners, had got back to me and responded that they were flexible and recommended the booking for the day after if it would better accommodate our schedules and that the Valentine's Day snack would be available to purchase, which was very reassuring for me. Upon our arrival, not only did they remember me from our one email communication, they had already set aside the Valentine's Day snacks for us. Very thoughtful! The wine selections were either for red or white for blending and cause my fiancée and I wanted to try the best of both worlds (we both had selected white initially), they were able to accommodate the change with no hesitation. Our instructor, Dave, was amazing and the guided class was full of fun information and neat anecdotes. The guided class was very helpful in identifying things to look for in wine which can contribute to certain attributes, like taste, sweetness and such. The location has a spacious area filled with a variety of wine options. I picked a Bourgogne Chardonnay from France ($36). We came on a late Monday afternoon and, lucky for us, they have a bar special on Mondays: No corkage fee! They also have Happy Hour-- Monday to Friday from 3-6pm. The Chardonnay was divine! I would totally return and purchase another bottle. We also ordered a charcuterie board and took advantage of their happy hour special for $20 (pick two-- one cheese and one meat). We opted for the 'Humboldt Fog' Chèvre as our cheese option and the Bresaola for our meat option. Both were delicious, but the chèvre was truly exquisite. We shared one charcuterie board with five people and it was enough; however if you're on the hungry side, I suggest two charcuterie boards for five or six people. In addition to meat and cheese, it comes with crackers, some pickled veggies, onion jam, candied nuts, whole grain Dijon, and apple slices. On the left side of the venue you have your variety of wine options; on the right side, there's the bar and some tables, plus a small area with other snacks for purchase that pair nicely with wine or beer. They even sell the Torres truffle chips! My only complaint is the service, unfortunately. The lady at the cashier was super friendly, however the bar tender was not so welcoming. When he came over to our table to open our wine bottle, he didn't greet us, smile, or say anything. He took our bottle and opened it and then asked who was going to taste. Not sure if he thought we didn't speak English since we were speaking another language when he came to our table, but overall, we all noticed his attitude and thought it was rather unwelcoming. Because of this experience, I rate this place a 4/5, however, everything else was great!

Unfortunately, I think the vibe is completely off with this type of food, and I think it's hurting their customer base (I.e, there's a sports watching day, and live DJ?, but the food is definitely more for upscale vibes). I also didn't know they have a rotating menu with different chefs, so when I came in craving for something like steak frites and find out the don't have it even though their sample menu lists it on their website, it kind of throws my mood a little. Moreover, their wine list is not extensive considering it's a wine bar, and wine mentioned in their name :) Anyways I've digressed. With this special menu, I ordered the scallop tostada and maitake taco. The scallops were very fresh, and it was a very well balanced dish. I would totally order this again! The maitake mushroom was exploding with flavors, though I find the sauce a little too salty for my taste. If I came here just for food, I'd come back and try new things!

The menu is inviting with plenty of great options without being overwhelming. Less is more. But let's talk art (culinary, that is). The dishes certainly deserve main features. To start "the best Caesar salad in LA" and I quote which was certainly true. Grilled octopus charred on the inside and juicy at the center. Spicy pomodoro is perfectly al dente and a well-balanced sauce. But, my favorite-- the agnolotti! Wow, melt in your mouth! The flavor profiles of corn, crème fraiche, and old bay were delicious. My only wish -- larger serving of this (smallest pasta serving on the menu). To complete it, banana pudding tiramisu -- delicious too with a firm center and oozy outside. Atala was wonderful and very sweet. Recommendation: come with a group of at least 4 to try more on the menu -- the large plates (branzino and ribeye) looked excellent! Definitely a worthwhile visit.

Our waitress made some good recommendations so we decided to try a few items (family style). We ordered duck confit, spicy pomodoro, sweet corn agnolotti, branzino (highly recommended), charred octopus, steak tartare, cavatelli finocchio, hamachi crudo, date cake and banana pudding tiramisu. Everything was absolutely delicious! You really can't go wrong with any choices on the menu. Everything we cooked to perfection with a lot of flavor. Also, if you sit at the hightop bar, the kitchen is an open concept so you can watch the chefs cook and plate the food. As far as the drinks, I am not sure if they have a full bar but they do have a few selection of wine along with a small cocktail menu. I stuck with the cucumber basil (with tequila). Flavorful and refreshing. Street parking may be hard to find but they do have valet parking for $12. Overall, it's worth a visit. I look forward to dining here again.

I'd seen posts with rave reviews at Cochella only to be utterly disappointed, underwhelmed and overcharged for some of the most basic food. There is no parking, I'd scouted the location before and opted for a Saturday early afternoon where there would be street parking over $7 valet. There was hardly anyone in at the time we went so parking was not an issue for two cars. Let me preface that I and half Thai & I've had Thai food all my life, all over LA & in Thailand as well as my mother being born & from Thailand who can make 1/2 these dishes at home, but we went for atmosphere & easy clean up. We were a party of 7. We ordered, the Little Lao Platter which came to the table lukewarm. It was made it seem like it could feed 4-6 people and the up charge of $225 over the $150 if ordered online was because you'd get more food, hardly seemed like it. I ordered it to be enough to give everyone a taste of several dishes and order more if they liked it. I think more effort went into presentation, rather than it coming out hot. The Pad Thai, chicken, beef rolls, papaya salad, & chicken were decent, but I've had better for less it was NOT worth the price. Why it got cold so fast I don't know. We also ordered yellow curry with the signature "blue" rice" which I didn't realize there was no option for the non blue rice over regular white steamed rice. It was an extra cost for rice as it did not come with it. I thought the blue rice was more of a dessert thing and I didn't particularly like it paired with the yellow curry which was good but again the blue rice threw the flavor off. Our server was nice, but he was slow for a Saturday lunch with barely anyone there. He took a while to take our order, forgot drinks and took a while to come back & forth. The ambiance was as pictured, it was pretty & we sat outside, but again almost all the food came out practically cold with the tiniest of portions, not for foodies and not enough for chuds. Also served cold was the calamari, the beef larb that we ordered, with the "blue rice" doesn't pair well with more savory dishes. Several people in our party ordered drinks which were nothing to rave over, one even tasting like pickle juice with tajin on the rim. I can't remember what drinks were ordered, it was that forgettable. We also ordered Thai Tea, Thai coffee and some yuzu drink, which as a side note you will have to drink fast before your paper straw falls apart They were kind enough to offer an alternative drink and be accommodating. At the end $533 was spent with a 20% added gratuity to the bill. The overall experience was absolutely NOT worth it and I would never go back. We were all still hungry, grossly disappointed and unsatisfied. I not only would I not go back, I wouldn't suggest it to anyone that I liked. So many positive reviews, did we come on the wrong day? Was it the cook? Why the vast difference in experience? If the food was better, the servings were bigger, steamed rice was an option, the food came out hotter than the sun burn your mouth hot like you'd get anywhere else, it would've warranted the cost. I'm 100% down for paying for good food, it's not about the price if it's good, but this was not it. There was nothing memorable about going for the first and last time. We opted out of any dessert as you could get better mango with sticky rice at a food stall in Thai Town or Wat Thai of LA and it would've tasted better and cost less. The graduation lunch was a bust, and having suggested the restaurant I had to do so much apologizing for everything especially the highly overpriced mid food. I expected more and was so disappointed.

When I went to order at the counter, the staff said we could sit and they were serve us, which I wasn't expecting at all! I really appreciate they that have both the fast-casual order style and the sit down and enjoy style duality to this restaurant. I got the chai latte and a hummus bowl with falafel (though as I write this I can't remember if that was the actual menu name of the dish). It was delicious--the falafel was one of the best I've ever had taste wise, and a bit on the airy side instead of being super dense, which I appreciated. Sometimes falafel is too dang dry, and they really got it right. The hummus was phenomenal. I'm really such a sucker for a good, quality hummus and it was so creamy and the oil they topped it with was wonderful too. The veggies were fresh and the pita was such a star: it was thick and chewy and clearly freshly made. Immediate 5 star for the food. So glad I stopped by here and will definitely be back!
