[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such an adorable place. It has beautiful scenery all around with small waterfalls and many ducks/geese.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They provide FREE bags of food to feed the ducks as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's very family friendly and has a romantic atmosphere for a date night and well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was delicious so make sure not to fill up on the yummy FREE pecan rolls and fritters. Highly recommend checking this historic place out!

The food is good, but nothing special to write about. I got the prime rib and it was a little tough. The best thing was the clam chowder. It's an okay food restaurant...

What a lovely place for lunch! The restaurant is requiring masks, prefers reservations, and is cleaning between each table. I'd never been here before but when I asked friends from the area they all suggested Old Mill for lunch. We were early for our noon reservation so we "wasted time" admiring the view and the adorable birds. There's a gift shop in the front lobby having a 75% off sale so we picked up some small items for stocking stuffers on the way out. The food was delicious! The pecan rolls that come with the meals are so delicious they sell boxes of them for you to take home. I got broiled scallops with mashed squash and it was prepared well. Would order it again. My table mate said her burger was "one of the best I've ever had". I was also impressed that the whole restaurant, including the restrooms, is accessible! Thank you!!!

Not terrible, but not great. I've been here a few times for various reasons--a wedding, a celebratory brunch, a few lunches, and some week night dinners. All the staff have been lovely, friendly, and attentive. The food fluctuates with being very good to mediocre. It seems to have the potential to be very good to great, but it's not quite there. There are some flat flavors, not-so-fresh salads or extras on burgers. Rather off putting. I won't complain about the pecan rolls (hit or miss) as they are complimentary. The consistently delicious fritters make up for it. There may be a time that I will stop making excuses for things and not go back. For now, I remain hopeful!

Had a lovely meal, the scenery was beautiful and the service fantastic. The meal itself was very good and reasonably priced.

They call them "Pecan" rolls but this is the second time we have purchased them for a family outing and they really look like Walnuts on top, not Pecans. has anyone else noticed this?

Yes my date was complaining about that. She says that they weren't very good. Definitely room for improvement

My review is no reflection on the atmosphere or waitstaff... strictly the food. Our appetizers were pretty good... calamari and escargot... nothing special, but, acceptable. After that.. things went way downhill. Two of us, ordered the veal parm. It was served on a piping hot plate, however, I can assure you, this was not made to order. The veal cutlet was clearly cooked hours before as it was barely lukewarm warm in Temperature and the breading was not one bit, crispy. It was soggy. Not made to order! It was served over a bed of "angel hair." The angel hair was cut up in multiple small pieces... the way you would serve it to a baby experiencing pasta for the first time. I asked our waitress "why is the pasta all cut up like this?" She responded: "I don't know." Not only was it cut up into pieces...(who does that? ) it was also soggy and way overcooked. The meal was a huge disappointment. My other dining companion ordered the fried pork chop which was a special. It wasn't too bad... he reported it was tender... it came with mash and a side of corn that looked like it came straight out of a can of Delmonte. No frills there. It was clearly canned corn. My sister got the cavatappi pasta that came with shrimp ; cannellini beans and a veg mixed in and it was swimming in a sub-par sauce that was lacking in any seasoning. All the entrees lacked basic seasoning. I want to go to a restaurant where my dish is made to order. Hot and crispy cutlets; Al Dente pasta; corn that's not poured out of a tin can and entrees that are served hot! This place has gone way downhill. I was there several years ago my experience was very different. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant and it certainly wasn't worth the $300 dollars (including tip) that we paid. Entrees were 30 + dollars each! What a joke to be charging those prices for the sub-standard food we were served. We will never go back. On a Positive note, my sister was given a lovely birthday dessert plate of sticky toffee pudding and ice cream.

My boyfriend, 1 year old daughter & I came in to try the food as we were staying less than 10 mins down the road at Great Wolf Lodge. The pecan rolls & corn fritters were amazing!!! Especially dipped in the maple syrup! We got a kids chicken tenders & fries which was a great portion! Fish & chips & teriyaki steak tips with fries. We were starving after swimming all day and ate every bit because of how great all the food was. Nice beers to choose from & I had a yummy pomegranate marg. They were so accommodating of our overtired toddler as well. Thank you to our server Cera for doing a great job! When we're in the area, we will definitely return. Bread basket includes the pecan rolls the restaurant is known for, and corn fritters (yum!) We liked the spinach artichoke dip and chicken broccoli alfredo (which came with a humongous piece of fried breaded chicken). The southwest chicken salad was okay, the chicken was a bit dry and the ranch dressing was a bit thicker than I expected, but the corn and avocado made up for this. The food took a while to come out but our server was great.
