And yes, lets face it, Old Navy isn't offering the hottest fashion, but coming here for tank tops, flip flops, pajamas, and sports wear (this is new and a great line) is perfect. My best friend recently bought a lot of the maternity wear and it was very comfortable, cute and affordable. Come here for those things and you'll understand my 5 star review. Old Navy is great, you can find cheap, stylish basics for amazing prices. Previous reviewers mentioned that the clothes are cheap and wear out quickly; in my experience, this is not the case. I have some jeans from ON that I have been wearing for years. Some of the stuff can be awkward/ ill-fitting, but hey, it was made by an 8 year old, Malaysian kid, give em a break! Some times it can be hit or miss as far as finding stuff that is cute and looks good on you. I often go to ON when I am bored, and end up buying a whole bunch of stuff that I don't really need...it's a dangerous hobby. read more

I love OLD NAVY. It's amazing how much you can get for a little over $200 (give or take) and with today's economy, you really have to budget yourself especially when it comes to buying a few Christmas gifts. It's kinda funny because I find this OLD NAVY location to have a lot more nicer looking clothes than other locations around San Diego. I've bought Jackets, Shirts, and Pants for myself at this OLD NAVY that I wouldn't find in San Ysidro or National City. And these are pretty good looking casual clothes that I've worn to parties and various fundraisers. It's certainly not a place you would buy flashy dress clothes (For weddings or formal parties) but the kind of clothes that are comfortable for everyday casual occasions. So why the 4 star rating instead of 5? As much as I love this place, sometimes getting someone to help you can be an adventure. This place can AT TIMES, be understaffed. There was a hoodie on the TOP HANGER RACK that I wanted to purchase. This hoodie was way up there and to get it down, you needed a ladder or one of those hook things. This is a perfect Old Navy. Even though the store size is technically smaller than the Fashion Valley location, this location usually has a much better selection that is better organized. The employees are very friendly and helpful here. Never too pushy, though they don't get commissions. There are always coupons on Old Navy's website are happy to let you use your printable coupons from ON's Facebook without any hassle. I like that. In this economy, everyone could use a little extra help :) The dressing rooms are decently sized, and there are even a few "quick change" dressing rooms that are basically just little enclosures with a curtain. Not a bad idea, actually. It makes nice for those of us who are too stubborn to wait in line for a dressing room and end up trying on sweaters and pants over the clothes we're already wearing. I would give this location a 5-star review because it is really great.. but there are two downfalls: 1. The parking lot. It is nearly impossible to find a parking spot at this lot. It's in a very busy shopping center with Border's, Marshall's, BevMo, and a few other stores. The parking lot is also rather confusing. There is an area of parking spaces that is almost all enclosed by planters, and it is kind of like a maze.. so it's hard to navigate on busy days. and 2. The big basket of goodies near the checkout. There is overpriced candy, reusable water bottles, tin lunch boxes, toys, and many other things to catch the eye of a child.. or me. And that's not good when you're on a budget (though you wouldn't know I am on a budget from the huge pile of clothes I'm carrying..). I know times are rough and they're trying to make every dime they can, but come on.. this has to go! Overall, 4 stars. Good location. Nice employees. Easy to walk around the store. I'm not a huge fan of Old Navy. I have a Gap Credit card, so every once in awhile, I'll get an email with the new lines of Gap, Old Navy and BR. I always think the ads for Old Navy are cute, and the looks are well put together, but when I go to the store to look at the actual clothes, they are made poorly and are made out of gross material. Came in last night, to look at the left over sale stuff, since Josh had mentioned getting a sweater for three dollars! They still had some cute 3/4 sleeve shirts, for lounging and baby socks for A, for 1.25 which is a steal! I don't tolerate the crowds at any other time though. The lines are always long, and the struggle to find something you actually like does not weight out. read more

This is my favorite ON. The people are super friendly and not at all snobby like the ones in Foo Foo Fashion Valley. The store is always put together and it's easy to find stuff. I thought about dropping a star because they don't have jeans that make my butt look smaller but hey, whatcha gonna do? The fact that they're always so helpful and will go out of their way to find you what you need is why I'll keep coming back here. I went here today to redeem my Groupon and found a pig-wearing-a-tutu-costume for my dog. The price? Twenty CENTS! Yes, I said cents. It's stupid cute on her and everyone in the store was gushing when I tried it on her. Hey, stop making fun of me. Dogs like to trick-or-treat too! I'm not going to deduct a star but the bathroom needed help today. No toilet seat covers, almost running out of toilet paper and there was trash on the floor. If they ignored the bathroom to keep the store organized then I'll give them a pass on this one. Overall Old Navy is a great place to shop for clothing. More so if you happen to be what the industry calls "plus size". Being that I'm considered to be a part of that crowd, I've yet to find any difficulty in scoring on clothes. Jeans, skirts, dresses, camis, tank tops, blouses, shirts, outerwear. It all fits. The staff if always helpful and they try to get you out of there quickly enough. Something that really gets on my nerves, though, is their sales. They have great sales, but not everything applies. They recently had a BOGO on jeans, but the "Flirt" style wasn't a part of that sale. And when they had their 60% off everything sale, only their crapppier items were on sale. All the good stuff was only, like 10% off. So if you go in during a sale, make sure that what you wanna get qualifies for said sale. Also, those surveys they give you with your receipt? DO THEM. You can save 10% off ANY and EVERY thing, regardless of sale qualification. Each item gets a 10% discount on top of whatever the price is. The surveys are easy. And you don't have to remember any employees' names; they don't ask for that. Ever. read more

I love this store. They are nice and kind and they don't make it obvious that they are following you around the store with Loss Prevention, LOL. Anyway, there were many deals and bargains before, during, and After Christmas and we had a ball shopping and spending our gift cards here. They don't sweat the small stuff, and they are always willing to help you if you need it. It's pretty busy but they maintain it well. Thank you for being a great shopping experience. Even on the first day of the month - military appreciation day - I didn't really find anything that grabbed me. I think the chain has lost its trendy-ness and is now just what everyone is wearing. Also the shirts they're selling these days are so thin they're like the shirts I have at home that are 10 years old. Yeah, I still wear them. This particular store is kind of life-sucking - I don't know what it is, but there's something impersonal and sanitized about it. First time going to this Old Navy even though I am in the areas a lot. We were warmly greeted at the front and this day there was 30% off the entire store which was an added bonus. I don't remember anyone asking if we needed any help but I would have told them no anyways. I found some cool graphic tees for my bf, only 17.50 and with the 30% it was around 10 bucks per shirt. Thought that was pretty nice. Oh and there was 75% off clearance. I love the fact that the clothes here fit me and I don't have to go to a larger women's store (which are more expensive). Price is right here and you can always find a good sale/deal. The person at the register was cool...When I found that there were other shirts folded in with the ones I wanted to purchase he took them off my bill with no problem. As far as Old Navy's go, this one's pretty sweet. Plenty of parking, and in a shopping plaza where not only can you get your grocery shopping done (Trader Joe's), but you can also walk across the lot to BevMo to spice up dinner and find stuff for some tasty nightcaps. The store is spacious, clean, well organized and maintained. The lines for the dressing rooms are not too long, staff is very helpful and friendly, and the store is brightly lit and always feels summery, even in winter (although I guess we are in San Diego, land of forever summer). Old Navy isn't exactly the apex of high fashion, but when you need basic staples - T's, camis, tank tops, flip flops, etc - you can always count on Old Navy. The clothing is very well made considering the low price, there's always a lot to choose from, and the selection changes often enough that it doesn't feel like you're going into the same store every time (if that makes sense). In peak busyness times, the store *can* tend to look like a tornado has swept through, but you can tell the staff is hard at work to remedy that and get it back into good shape. Speaking of the staff, they've always been super friendly and helpful when I'm in. Ladies, beware - maternity sizes sometimes get mixed in with the regular stuff, so if that "small" shirt looks awfully large to you, that could be the reason why. read more

This store always has a good selection of sizes and colors available. The staff is usually very friendly and upbeat. The only real bummer is the clearance section is generally pretty small and rather picked over. HATE the parking lot. The spots are really small so it's usually difficult to find one big enough to get in and out of your car without dinging someone else's doors (or getting yours dinged), not to mention how hard it is to get an infant in and out and into their stroller. read more

This is one of the bigger Old Navy Stores. I really like the selection. What's scary and/or cool is the eye level selection of kids stuff as you wait in the check out line :) They have the best sales at Old Navy for kids....just got out of there for $180 and got TONS of clothes for both my girls. $5 for long sleeve tops, short sleeve tops, fleece bottoms - a little bit more for sweatshirts and waffle cut long sleeved, hooded tops. As any Mom knows, kids grow like weeds - and it's nice to have a place to shop where you can trendy, high quality, long lasting clothes without having to spend a fortune. The employees have always been very nice, too. The only thing I don't like is the traffic in the area. So I asked her if she can match the price online (Oldnavy.com) because the regular price online was $34.99 and was on sale for $29. Her: No, we don't do that here." This is a quality review post! I have purchased 8 or more pairs of mens blue jeans from Old Navy over the years (loose cut stone wash and regular). In one day, I tore 2 pairs of pants during a trip from Michigan to San Diego. The first pair while returning a rental car (don't even know when it happened). The second pair a few hours later on a flight from Chicago to San Diego. The second pair was torn from the seat on the plane (Southwest). The pants hooked on a gear under the armrest, after putting it up to get out of the seat. It tore like a piece of paper. Absolutely ridiculous!! I have others that I have worn a lot that have started tearing at the back pocket stitching (sooner than other jean products, but convinced myself it seemed reasonable); looking back I now have my doubts!! I am done with Old Navy jeans and will be returning to Levi Strauss. I am donating the rest of these things first thing in the morning!!! read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had at an old navy! I ordered online picked them up from this location same day and made sure to ask if that these can be exchanged if I needed a different size, she said no problem. Next day tried to exchange the items that didn't fit for a different size was told by the assistant manager, Isaac, who, lied and said he was the general manager, "we can't exchange online orders only return them because online is a third party retailer" I'm not sure when oldnavy.com turned into a different party then old navy in store. At one point this man just kept repeating "its an online order" over me trying to ask him to explain in more detail. Also he was visually shaking like he was in flight or fight mode over this encounter. PLEASE OLD NAVY GIVE YOUR MANAGERS BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CONFLICT TRAINING. Isaac probably shouldn't be working with the customer if he can't control himself. This store is well located, parking isn't usually a problem, and there are other good stores right next door and in the same lot. Overall, good. I think that this review should be mainly about the store itself, which I always find to be well organized and clean with helpful staff. I wish they had a bigger maternity section at this particular minute in my life, but hey, that won't always be a concern for me so I'm not gonna complain. As far as the clothes quality goes, well, I believe that you get what you pay for, so I think Old Navy is pretty much right on target. My Old Navy experience was the worst ever. First of all I went to the outlet store in SY on Sunday, bought a bunch of work out clothes, which fI was under the impression that they were on sale!. When I got home and really read the receipt I come to find that none of the things I bought were on sale. Today I went to Mission valley Old Navy store, returning most things bought in SY. Grabbed some more yoga pants, Where the sign said "Cross track yoga pants, was $19.94, now $15.00", when I finally got to the register (after a 15 minute wait... luch time with 3 cashiers on) The pants rung up at $19.94. I asked the cashier to go with me to look at the sign. When we got back there, on the SAME rack, were straight leg pants, and the more boot cut pants, BOTH $19.94, BUT only the straight leg ones were on sale. I pointed out to the gal how misleading that was, and that they should make it clear. SHE DIDN'T CARE. When I spoke to the manager up front, all she said was "THIS IS THE WAY THE SIGNS COME FROM CORPORATE." No, I am sorry for the misunderstanding, Just this is the way it is!. SUCH BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT THE OLD NAVY AGAIN! WARNING TO CONSUMERS. READ THE SIGNS, ASK AS THINGS ARE RUNG UP! In my eyes this is bad. I love old navy I've always came here to get my items since I was younger because they had affordable prices. I got so excited when they had a sign that said " ALL sweaters 50%" off not all sweaters UP TO 50% off. So I grabbed a super cute sweater that I wanted from the day before. So I walk in and realize that I was being charged almost $80 for "50%" off $36 sweaters. So I take my purchase up to the front telling them about the sign and how it's $20 and some change online as well. They said... well Daija was her name to be correct said they can't do that because it's UP TO 50% no.... zits 50% in-line and there's a big sign right in front of them saying 50% so I don't understand??? Definitely check out the back because sometimes they've got exceptional deals throughout the store and clearance items! The store was well kept and employees were nice and cool. Awful customer service. I've been shopping at Old Navy for years and I have never been treated the way that the cashier treated me here. I had an online return which came with NO packing slip NO statement, NOTHING...the only things in the box were the pants that I ordered. No receipt. When I tried to take a couple pairs back, they said they absolutely needed the statement (that is supposed to come with the shipment....their mistake) or the credit card, I had my Old Navy email statement, but left the credit card at home. They wouldn't help me in anyway, even if I gave them the credit card number. They were so rude about it -- at least be nice if you're not going to be able to help me! read more

YOU KNOW WHAT When it comes to chains, the only real difference is in the people who work there. And the parking situation. And how clean it is. Parking: easy enough. Huge non-hellish parking lot. Done deal. Store is as clean as it can be, with workers constantly fighting entropy and sloppy customers. DA SERVICE: Honestly, like 99 times better than expected. I am so darn lovable that maybe I just got lucky (note: lots of sarcasm) but the workers were super nice! The dressing room lady got me different sizes and was very helpful, and totally went above and beyond what she had to do in order to help me out. Cashier guy: My new buddy. I am a frugal woman when it comes down to it (why else would I be at Old Navy-- I researched the sales. Duh) and he helped me to get all discounts possible. I brought in the introductory "you now get an email a day from us" 20% off (do this then unsubscribe), then asked for student discounts, etc. They only have military discount, so take advantage of that if you can! THIS IS THE BEST PART. You know how Gap and Old Navy are ALWAYS having at least 30% off sales (might as well lower their prices, but the psychology of a sale probably means better business)? They are having some reward dollar thing, so come back in 1 month (note--late Sept 2014 now) and spend $30 or $75 or more and you get $10 or $30 off the purchase. SO being the frugal woman I am, the guy at the register let me be janky and ask IF i return the clothes I bought ($84) in 1 month then REBUY them, do I get the money off? YES I DO. Then he agreed that I am a genius who is not a genius because now I can't wear the clothes for a month. All in all, I purchased $140 worth of clothes and will spend only $50. Not bad. This place is ridiculous! In all fairness, I'm not a huge Old Navy fan to begin with. The store in Mission Valley is largely to blame. To begin with, I've seen thrift stores look more organized than this place. It's an absolute pig sty. Imagine a hundred sorority girls sharing a 7,000 square foot apartment and you'll start to get a visual. The other thing that drives me crazy is it takes about an hour to check out regardless of how many registers are open. If wading through piles of clothes hasn't put me in a foul mood, the check out process is guaranteed to. Frankly I'd rather shop at Walmart. read more
