This is my family's go-to pizza place. The buffalo chicken is literally heaven to your taste buds and I highly recommend it. Every other kind of pizza, the chicken fingers, and the fries that we've gotten there have been really good as well. Although the food has been amazing, and the only reason we keep coming back, the workers are usually rude--especially on the phone. Sometimes they mess up the order because they don't take the time to repeat it and make sure they got what I ordered. When we go in to pick it up, they aren't welcoming, they don't smile, and they don't seem thankful for us giving them great business. I just want to get out of there as fast as I can. read more

This place is conveniently located for us so we often get it for dinner last minute. I usually get the Honey Dijon Chicken Wrap or the Steak or Chicken Kabob Wrap or a buffalo chicken salad. The steak bomb subs are really good. The wraps are really good too but there is always WAY to much dressing and the last few bites are too soggy to eat the wrap falls apart by then anyway... The joy does, officially, continue, as Old Railroad pulls into the position of "lunch joint of choice, at least of the places I can walk to from work, and that are open when I eat (late)." On recommendation from Greg O., I tried the Granite Special, even though its orgy-of-meat filling sounds like a heart attack on bread: roast beef, ham, bacon, turkey, and cheese. With all that meat, I didn't think there'd be room for veggies, but happily, it also had some unadvertised lettuce and tomato, as well as the peppers I requested. Unhappily, it also had room for gobs of mayo, adding to the artery-hardening effect. My fault for not asking. And yes, even after I scraped off the mayo, it was deeee-lish. I usually shy away from wraps, because most everywhere I go, they end up being dinky little microburritos mostly stuffed with lettuce. Oh no, not so here. For $6.25 (on average -- median, not mean) you get a mondo wrap, bigger than most burritos. It's stuffed full of the sandwichy goodness of your choice (and there are choices! about 20), guaranteed to make a tasty mess if your burrito-balancing skills aren't up to par. Still hard to get a smile from these folks, but as long as the good grub keeps coming, I'll keep going back. read more

Best fries in Quincy by far!!! If you are around town, this place is definitely worth the visit for the french fries alone, simply amazing! Tasty, golden and crispy deliciousness in every bite i promise you. They're even good when it gets cold, that's how good it is. If you are a buffalo fan like i am, this place also has one of the best buffalo sauces around Quincy. I'd say tied with Buccini's Mr. Sub's homemade buffalo sauce. The buffalo sauce here might also be homemade, it's pretty good. The Boneless Buffalo fingers are delicious. The buffalo calzone, even better. Bleu cheese here is also pretty good, goes well with their buffalo sauce. Extra bleu cheese is a hefty $1 added to your total, pretty steep for a cup of dressing/sauce. The food is fantastic. The service is abysmal. We started coming here over the summer , and had no problems. As time has gone on, our orders have been messed up more and more frequently. From forgetting cheese, to not telling us at the time of order about price changes to the menu, to never apologizing or offering to right our order, it's hard to see why this place does well. Just tonight, we ordered 2 calzones, and told the people on the phone there was a tomato allergy. When we got to the store to pick up our calzones, the man ringing us up said, and I quote "uh oh. I made a boo boo and made pizzas instead. Is that okay?" No, it's not okay. It's not what we ordered, and I cannot eat marinara sauce. He blankly stared at us for about 30 seconds before my boyfriend finally had to ask how long the calzones would take. He tells us 7 minutes. About 15 minutes later, the calzones were finished, and were handed to us. No extra food. No discount. No apology. As we were walking out, we overheard a man picking up a pepperoni and onion pizza. The cashier told him he made a mistake and made a buffalo chicken pizza (coincidentally, they had just made tne exact (mistake) pizza for us. Go figure). But, the food is fantastic. So, 2 stars. He said he gave me 8 ounces of steak and he weighed it b4 it was cooked. "Have u ever weighed 8oz of steak b4 it was cooked and then weigh it after it's cooked? U lose about 2oz of steak." So I should have 6oz of steak on my sub at least. But sadly it was 2.5oz. Then the owner told me he was right I was wrong. Said a bunch of arrogant ignorant shit to me. and then told me to fuck off. We only had the wings here, Hot wings, man they were gross. The sauce was not good. The wings were small, soggy, not meat on the bones and the skin was bad as well. The blue cheese was okay. I have been eating Rail Road since forever. Can I just tell you that customer service makes all the difference! The staff here is great and remembers your face. The pizza itself is alright. I find the cheese chewy if that makes sense but I've had worse. I love the chicken Caesar salad (they put bacon bits on it) and the antipasto salad (loaded with meats). Excellent 4 cheese pizza with a Greek crust, lots of fresh and delicious toppings. The salads are huge & delicious, I usually have enough for 2 meals. The buffalo chicken is made fresh here, they use fresh chicken, and bread it lightly with Italian breadcrumbs. The buffalo sauce is a tomato base and its spicy, but not harsh like Franks sauce, they make that fresh too. Chicken parm is surprisingly good here. Salad is good enough. Chicken caesar salad is loaded with juicy, well seasoned grilled chicken. The self serve seasonings are good. Service is fast. Pizza is just ok, not great. Nice simple booths inside. Lots of historical pictures of Quincy granite quarries and railways on the wall.
