The food was amazing and came out extremely quickly. I think we waited less than 10 minutes which surprised me. I ended up getting the soft shell crab special which came with 3 small soft shell crabs and two sides. The Caesar salad was well dressed but was missing the salty umami flavor I come to expect with Caesar it almost tasted a bit bland but the romaine used was fresh and I appreciated the crunch/green it offered my meal, I don't think I'd recommend it being worth the upcharge and will probably try another side when returning. The fries are handcut and delicious, they also have old bay along with the typical salt & pepper on the table which when sprinkled on to the fries definitely take it up a notch. My crabs were phenomenal, perfectly fried and the butter sauce they provided with it was a delicious addition for dipping. My partner got a pulled pork sandwich and he shared that it was very good. It had a nice vinegar kick expected from Carolina BBQ. Our server Zachary was also extremely attentive and made sure we had our meals, waters were topped off and gave us any and all accoutrements we could need when asked. Overall, we had a great experience at Old Rapp Taphouse, we went on a Saturday night and found there to be a steady stream of people coming in and out but still received such great service and food. There is a wide selection of beers to choose from, with a couple of really interesting additions. Our group was welcomed with smiling faces, they checked in on us often to see if we needed anything at all, and we thoroughly enjoyed the spotless and modern, yet warm, space. I gave quite a bit of push back along with some real life number crunching... but the employee could not seem to understand the lack of logic that, based on their menu prices, an onion ring substitution should be more like $1, and not $8. The veggie omelette with tots was fair, the tots were seasoned but everything else was not and a bit bland. Similarly the grilled chicken club was just ok.
