He took the time to look under the hood, explain what might be going on, and stayed with me until the car actually replicated the issue I had been experiencing. That gave me a lot of confidence that they truly understood the problem. They initially replaced the starter, but when the issue happened again, they didn't ignore it or push it aside. Instead, Dave, the manager, had me bring the car back in and continued to diagnose it properly. It turned out the replacement starter itself was faulty, so they ordered a brand new one, and that resolved the issue. What really stood out to me was their integrity. They didn't charge me right away and had me drive the car for a bit to make sure the problem was truly fixed before finalizing payment. That gave me real peace of mind. Kieth and Dave treated me like family and even made sure I had my car back in time to pick up my daughter from school the first day. Throughout the process, they answered all of my questions (and I had a lot), never made me feel dismissed, and clearly cared about getting it right. I also noticed how they greeted other customers by name, which showed me they have a loyal customer base and treat people well. Was quoted $40-$65 for an oil change over the phone Friday AM. When I picked our car up, they said it was actually about $90 and blamed a new guy for quoting wrong prices. They also gave us 30 minutes to pickup the car before they closed Saturday for the rest of the weekend, so we didn't get the car back til Monday. They were friendly and nice, including when it came to charging more than they quoted. Bummer, was hoping to find our go to shop since we just moved to the area. Unfortunately, I can't recommend based on unreliable pricing and communication for turnaround timing. read more

I called old town tire to ask them if they had time to remove a flat tire and mount and balance a tire. The guy on the phone asked me what kind of tire I needed. I explained to him that I didn't need a tire as I had a pull off ( used tire) I had bought from a friend of mine who has a tire shop. He told me he couldn't mount a used tire ( yeah right) the tire although technically used was practically new but he never even gave me the chance to explain to him. My friend happened to have a set of 4 of the same tires which is hard to find buying used tires and sold them all to me for $80, hard pass that up. Funny because I called 3 other tire shops who had no issues mounting a used tire on my car. Really bad customer service and obviously wanted to up sell you . I will never give them my business. I've been coming here for years! Vey reasonable and they are sooooo honest. They do a thorough check of your vehicle and let you know what to watch for, but don't spring a big random repair on you like a lot of places. I took my car in today for an oil change and a tire rotation. They found that my license plate light was out. Do you think they charged me an arm and a leg for it? No way. Admit it. "Honest, fair, reputable, reliable" aren't really the first words that come to mind when you think of a mechanic, right? Think again!! I discovered Old Town Tire & Service while looking for someone to replace the engine in my son's car. Keith was the first person I met. Amazing!! Moments after shaking hands I felt I'd known these people forever. I haven't experienced this level of customer service, not to mention human kindness, in a long time! I explained the dilemma with my 16 year old son's Mustang GT recently seizing up. Keith cracked this smile as to say (professionally mind you) "he's 16 and it's a Mustang GT, of course he seized the engine." "I don't take lightly the value of your money. I won't spend it frivolously." Keith replied in a text communication about the investment to replace my son's engine. I was hooked! A long story short, I ended up bringing my wife's Toyota Sequoia in to have an oil change and their signature 40-point inspection. Andrew, one of the service writers, informed me the rear brakes severely needed changed and the bushings in the rack-and-pinion needed replaced. After giving the green light for the repairs I stopped by to pick up the car. What I discovered next was amazing!! Keith informed me that after further inspection the bushings actually were not the problem. A bolt that held the rack together was actually the problem which SAVED ME OVER $300!!!! What? An Honest, fair, reputable, reliable mechanic? In this day and age? You've got to be kidding me!!! Overall THE BEST EXPERIENCE, EVER!!!! I've been going to a mechanic, who has been a close personal friend, for over 12 years, and today I switch to Old Town Tire & Service!! I don't know who you use as your mechanic, but I IMPLORE you to consider Old Town Tire & Service for your new lifetime auto service provider!! Btw - Monica is the bomb!! I wrote a review 6 years ago and I am still a loyal customer, some 10-15 years later. I still refer everyone I know, still think Keith is the most trustworthy mechanic in town. My 11 year old BMW runs like a champ, wife's Caddy is now 7 yeas old. I've saved a fortune having paid off cars that are usually maintenance nightmares but not so following Keith's advice and having him take care of all their needs. A great honest shop these days are hard to find, I have used them for 2 years now... i get tires, oil changes and some minor repair work done. they work on high end cars as well, I take my Jag and Dodge Viper in for service. I never have had to take any of my vehicles back for the same problem. I like how they are pro active on issues they see, they notify me and it is my choice if i want to fix it or if i want to wait. I'm not from the Temecula area but I do drive down that direction. I reached out to a couple friends asking for a mechanic they'd recommend. All three recommended Old Town Tire & Service and told me to talk to Keith as he's trust worthy and will fully take care of me. I called over the phone and spoke to Keith. I told him I need my 100K mile maintenance for my vehicle. Long story short at the end of the day he proved my friends right. He told me items I do not need worked on yet and my price was a lot less than I originally expected. I will be going back at my 120K maintenance to get some other things done. Repairs are done in a timely manner, and they never overcharge for service. No upsale games either. The repair you get is the one you need. They might point out some other service that you could get done, but they always let you know if it's something that's urgent or something that can wait. I've never once questioned their ethics or truthfulness, and that's so rare in the auto repair industry, that they deserve a ton of praise. I brought my 2006 Toyota Highlander in this morning to Old Town Tire after getting rave recommendations from two of my friends. Last night the check engine light and the TRAC Off light and the stabilization light came on! Freaked me out because it was still running well for being 15 years old with 155,000 miles. The owner, Keith, helped me at the desk and told me exactly what they would be doing to diagnose the issue. Long story short, they found the issue and were able to correct, also do an oil change and get me on my way! In addition, Keith gave me a short list of other things that we need to do for preventative maintenance over the next few visits. Love this place! Knowledgeable, customer service centered and honest. My service engine light was on so i called to get an appointment. Roy one of there service managers answered the phone. I specifically asked if they had a bmw scanner tool for diagnosis and he replied, "yes", so i can on in for an appointment. Upon arrival and checking in there was another man behind the counter yelling at the service managers that they were overbooking appointments for that day, turned out it was the owner. I was called later that afternoon and was told all or one of my catalyst convertors were clogged and needed replacement and that the car was unsafe to drive. I towed the car the next morning to a muffler establishment who sells catalyst convertors. This establishment had a bmw scanner and i was told no catalyst convertors were needed at all, turned out to be a totally different problem. I drove my car home, 30 miles no issues. I called old town tires to let them know there diagnosis was incorrect and spoke with the other service manager Jake, found out they have no bmw scanner tool at all. Roy, don't mislead potential customers by telling them false information. I would never have brought the car in if you didn't have the correct scanner tool for a correct diagnosis. I spent 159.00 dollars for absolutely nothing at old town tire and another 68.00 for towing. Such a horrible experience. Please go somewhere else, they don't know what there doing, all they want is your money. read more

Ok so finding an honest mechanic isn't easy right? I mean I actually didn't think the existed in the day and age! Enter Keith! Taking to him there is no BS sales talk- you don't feel like the bill is racking up as he discusses the issue with you. He is up front and honest and if he can't fix the issue he will let you know this as well. Which happened to be the case on my first visit. I so appreciated the honesty and the level of service that I committed to taking my car her for all repairs and maintenance. Today his shop completed several maintenance things on my car abs when I was told the total I honestly thought they forgot something!
